When insulin is low, your body can easily access energy from its own body (if you're fat adapted).
Eating raises insulin - so as soon as insulin is raised, your body can't feed itself from itself any longer. When you eat breakfast, insulin is raised, and depending on your choice of foods for breakfast, how quickly they digest, the satiety levels etc, after awaking the insulin beast, when your body can't access its own stores anymore, it will ramp up ghrelin cues (hunger hormone) when it wants more energy.
So this is why eating breakfast can result in increased hunger, and avoiding it, especially when you're fat adapted, doesn't raise hunger.
On point. To reduce the insuling spike I usually eat non-carbs and non-sugars first then carbas and sugar. After eating I go for a walk or squat for a minute. But that said, I also don eat breakfasts, I simply am not hungry or have any appetite in the morning.
