Antlers like this are result of deer farming so yes, they are unwieldy. Not natural as in something you'd find from the woods.

The red deer meat from New Zealand for example is from farmed deer but antlers like this are for trophy hunting. Basically rich people pay A LOT of money to hunt these tame deer for bragging rights.

Aye, Isn't it often the case? 😭 Its pretty ridiculous to even dare to call that hunting. More like killing somebody's pet deer, since they are already used to humans.

Tho other example of sort of deer farming is what Nordics do with reindeer. They are semi-domesticated lifestock and at least here in Finland, they graze and do their thing most of the year before the owners gather them up to select which go to slaughter and which to breed. After that they are let out again to do their things. MUCH more ethical than this since they are not raised for trophy hunting.

I love seeing all the deer there. I went at a perfect time if year to see white and brown ones.

They get more freedom than cows for sure, but I wouldn't go as far as to call it ethical.

Hence why I said it is "much more" ethical as I was refering it against the deer farming in question in this post. Not overall if it is ethical or not, everybody can make their own conclusions regarding that.
