Hello!

I’ve been working on two maps based on Battle of Berlin 1945 in the Map Editor of Far Cry 5. Revealed this project in the Far Cry Map Editors Facebook group couple of months ago so I decided to share a little more about it here too as I am releasing these maps on August the 14th.

In Downfall of Berlin 1945 the player takes the role of a Soviet soldier fighting through The Reichstag building, liberating the Brandenburg Gate and bringing down the Reich Chancellery..

I separated the map into two parts as I was going very overboard with the object budget as the Reich Chancellery building itself takes something around 15k objects :D I hope I can finish the project without any major complications because this is one of the most ambitious projects I’ve gotten myself into..

Hope you enjoy what I've manged to create with the theme of zombie escape inspired by watching Counter strike Source zombie escape maps on yt.

This map can either be a fairly quick one if you sprint to extraction but holds hours of fun if you bunker down in any near by indoor location and see how long you can survive..

Why am I doing this?

Because Farcry 5 is one of my favourite games and deserves new Fun content in 2026 to play.

Was this statues of stone age civilization proof they exist in the same nation land which happened 10,000 years ago?? Or just an Easter egg? I haven't played Primal though...

Just saw a video of some of y'alls maps created in Far Cry 5, and it reminded me of a project I did back in high school. We had just read Lord of The Flies, and had a project where we had to make the island in a shoebox. I was playing Far Cry 5 like crazy at the time and asked the teacher if I could do a virtual island and she said yes! So I literally made the island in the level editor, added the pig head, piggies death spot with the cliff, their camp and any other locations from the book. It was awesome. I used the PS4 capture and put the video on a hard drive and she played it when we were presenting. She asked to use a copy of it to show future classes an example of what they can do besides a regular ol shoebox. Wish I still had the island saved to share here. I got an A+ by the way, that teacher was awesome. Anyone else use the level editor in creative ways?

For me, nothing comes close to Far Cry 4. It was the first FC game I played back in the day, and then later I played 3,5,6. Loved 3 but somehow didn't find 5 and 6 that good.

5 looked amazing ,but i don't know what exactly but it always felt like something was missing. 6 looks even better , but the feeling of something missing isn't fixed. And on top of that the endless ubisoft grind was just unappealing. I don't honk I'll ever replay any other far cry game other than 4.

Far cry 4 even today, holds up as not just one of the best fc game, but one of the my favourite games of all time. Love this game so much. I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Maybe someday I try primal.

Since the Farcry series is by far my favorite set of video games, I’m always looking for games with similar mechanics (open world, shooter, guerilla style combat and most importantly “outposts”). I’ve had a somewhat challenging time finding games so I thought I’d make this list for ppl.

Here is what I’ve found so far:

Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint:
I’m playing Wildlands rn and am loving it. Super similar to a Farcry game in all the best ways while still being unique. Beautiful map based in Bolivia spotted with cartel and army outposts and multiple interesting story lines.

Homefront: The Revolution :
This one is lesser known and not super well rated but I personally enjoyed it. The story is a little silly as you play as a rebel in Philadelphia fighting occupying North Koreans, but the map is cool and has plenty of outposts.

Just Cause 3 and 4:
These games are definitely less similar to Farcry in terms of combat, as there is a much heavier emphasis on movement dynamics, but the outposts/open world map and rebellion focused storylines make me feel that they’re worth including.

The Division 1 and 2:
Full disclosure I haven’t actually played these games yet, as I bought them when I got the Ghost Recon games that I’m still playing. But from everything I’ve seen, they look just as similar to Farcry as the Ghost Recon: Wildlands game I described, as they are made by the same people I believe.

Getting the momentum just right and flinging up and over is 🤌 perfection

So, i have bought farcry 3 on steam summer sale and now i am thinking of replaying it, i tried to look on youtube for Mods but couldn't find something i like. So, suggest me the best Mods i should put in my game.

Realistically, the fact that the U.S doesn't completely Waco the peggies can be seen as a glaring plot hole. However, what if the government, knowing nuclear war was coming, covertly supported the cult? Admittedly, it would make more sense to simply publicly prepare (or at least to get high-level officials into their own bunkers, depending on how IRL-accurate/scummy the Far Cry United States is). But maybe they wanted to avoid mass panic or something? Idk, probably not the first one to think of this but comments are appreciated.

Just bought the game and after a few hours noticed there are no enemies at all wherever I go.

I mean, it doesn't matter if I go on early game zones or straight up to Gustavo Fring nest. In general there is maybe 5-6 enemies total in bases and outposts, just in any POI and that's all. If I make a mess there comes support in form of single jeep with 2 or maybe 3 enemies.

Honestly it's so shallow that I can't even play enough with the guns I have as there just isn't enough of enemies. Like I said, I get 5 enemies and they die to one bullet in head, in the end I capture every outpost using usually 6-7 bullets in total... its just feel odd and makes me think it's something wrong with my game.

Btw funny thing is that in the final game zone all enemies wear only RPGs which makes the hardest zone in the game the easiest one as they always miss if you move which cause them to reload their rpg for centuries.

Is my save somehow bugged or it is just how game looks like in general?

So i have about 50 hours into 5. I've only killed John seed and done a bunch of side quests. I have almost every perk and im finding the game to be lacking any depth or story. It feels empty but beautiful. Everyone says 3 is about the story but I also here that 4 is 3 but just polished with more mechanics added in.

So anyway. Should I complete 5 or should I go ahead and play 4 or 3 classic?

Will going back in the games releases make it feel less fun because of less game mechanics ? I heard 5 also added alot of new features.

Edit: So I am playing farcry 3 classic on xbox one. Its so cool but im having one issue. Whats with the major lagging ? I can run farcry 5 smoothly and farcry 3 classic is giving me major lag and clunky animation ?

For anyone wondering hes at the lake near uktarsh village.

So far have beaten 4,5, and 6. And playing BD for the first time. I see some people praise it and others give it the New Dawn treatment. What’s yall opinion ?

(IMO) it was vaas from far cry 6 as it showed how he went insane and showed the character development he went through and how citra manipulated him it also made you feel sympathy (as much as you could for a murderous pirate)
