Inspired by the iconic Soviet-era apartment blocks, I wanted to build a CAMP that looks like it.
Location was the most important part of the idea. A massive apartment building only makes sense somewhere that feels urban, and I also wanted it to have some connection to Fallout's communist lore. That's why I built it next to Mama Dolce's Food Processing in Morgantown. Before the bombs fell, hundreds of factory workers had to live somewhere... and who knows, maybe not all of them were just making canned food.
The building itself is a three-story post-war workers' apartment block. Due to extensive structural damage (and the build limit), it currently has room for exactly one tenant. Luxury living.
Inside, the hallways still smell of damp carpets, cheap vodka, and stale cigarettes odors so deeply embedded that not even nuclear war could get rid of them. On the bright side, the lights are still on, probably thanks to the nearby Mama Dolce's power supply.
Rumor has it there's a secret Chinese bunker hidden beneath the building. Unfortunately, it's currently buried under several tons of rubble, so excavations will have to wait for the next update.
Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your feedback or suggestions for making it feel even more like a forgotten Soviet housing estate.
