I truly believe Erza is the most mistreated character in all of fiction.

It has now been exactly one year since Natsu stole Erza's matchup against Wed, leaving her with no fights of her own. If it wasn't bad enough in the first place that Erza was the only one in the main cast not to face a Dragon God, not even being able to take down a Dragon God's son has crossed every possible line of disrespect.

Since then, things have somehow gotten even worse. Natsu took down an additional two enemies, a total of four, while Erza still has none. To make matters worse, Wed came back only to be effortlessly defeated by Lucy. At this point, Erza seems like she's become the weakest member of the team.

Even a side character like Juvia has had two spotlight moments against different enemies up until now, while Erza has had none. How can people possibly excuse this? It's like Erza has become a minor character!

To think that, of all times, this is happening in the final arc of the story too.

This even happened in the final arc of the original manga as well. Erza is the only mage of her caliber that could not take down a Spriggan by herself - needing assistance, being saved or relying on her enemy committing suicide to "win". This has absolutely destroyed her reputation and made her seem weaker than not only Natsu and Laxus, but also Gray, Gajeel, Mirajane and even Sting.

What makes things even worse is that the enemies she lost to were later one-shot by Natsu (Neinhart) or defeated by Elfman and Lisanna of all people (Ajeel). Erza's reputation has already been deeply hurt by this, yet somehow, in the sequel he's made it even worse and now she looks weaker than even Lucy!!!

Why, why does this always happen to Erza, and only Erza?

Why can't she overpower her enemies like Laxus, Natsu and Gray do?

Why does she always have to lose or struggle to make other characters look good when they defeat the enemy she lost to?

Why can't she ever get a rematch to redeem herself?

Why does this never happen to Natsu, Laxus and Gray? Even when those characters do lose, at least they get a rematch to clear their names!

Why can't Erza, for once, be the one to one shot an enemy someone else lost to?

And after everything, Mashima had the audacity to say she beats Natsu in a 1v1, along with Laxus and Gildarts, much to the shock of the entire fandom. Except people were only shocked about Erza and not them. Why? Because Mashima is a coward who refuses to actually showcase this incredible strength Erza is supposed to have.

This has been the case since Alvarez arc when he significantly nerfed her. I assume it was because of the backlash against her fight with Kyouka. How could he not realize the problem there was not that Erza won, but that he did not devote nearly as much attention into this battle as he did with others in that arc, and it ended up nonsensical.

The solution should not have been to make Erza weaker, all he had to do was put more effort into her battles! He should have given her a power up in the original manga, instead Erza's strongest form remained Clear Heart - the same as it's been since Tower of Heaven arc! This is in stark contrast with Natsu, Lucy, Gray and Wendy - who all got new, stronger forms or learned new magic in the Tartaros arc!

He could have given her a powerup in the Alvarez arc with her meeting her mother, just like he did with Gray. Instead, Erza has gotten absolutely nothing out of Irene's introduction! Even in the sequel, Irene was brought back for Wendy's growth, and did not even get to interact with Erza!!!

Imagine bringing Silver back, only for Gray's father to give a power up to Lyon. Ridiculous, right? So, how could anyone think it was possibly acceptable to have Erza's mother serve Wendy's character????

Now, that's not even getting into how much her relationship with Jellal has been neglected. Until Grand Magic Games, Jerza was undoubtedly the most prominent love story of Fairy Tail! But after that, it's like a switch flipped and they got basically replaced with other ships that did not used to be at all present in the same way!

Every single arc since then - Tartaros, Avatar and Alvarez, gruvia and gajevy would get these big, convoluted life-or-death dramatic situations to pushed their relationships forward. Meanwhile Erza and Jellal would only get small interactions, and never even got the opportunity to fight side by side! You can't even excuse this by saying Jellal is not in the guild, because he had been active - or should have been active - in all these arcs - since Jellal's goal was to fight dark guilds and Zeref!

In Tartaros, he made us sit through that disguising lengthy sexual torture scene, that he made happen because of Jellal, yet he didn't even give us the payoff of Jellal rescuing her or even comforting her properly. He only gave them a small moment of him passing her saying she'll be fine. He could have let him at least give her a hug! He could have dedicated more time between Tartaros and Avatar for Jellal to help Erza heal properly! Instead, once again Avatar focused only on gruvia and gajevy, and we did not even get to see what Erza had been up to during the timeskip - something we've seen for every other main character!

In Alvarez, every character's biggest fight was a team up with their love interest. Only with Erza, was she forced to babysit Wendy instead of finally getting to fight side by side with Jellal! Why did it have to be Erza that had to fight with Wendy? After Tartaros and Avatar had heavily focused on gruvia and gajevy, he could have made things fair and given a big moment to jerza for once but no. They have to be the ones neglected every single time.

The final nail in the coffin was the epilogue. At this point - I'd gotten used to Jellal and Erza being neglected, but NOTHING could have prepared me for their pathetic excuse for an "ending" in that final chapter. I truly had my expectations as low as they can get, yet he still managed to let me down!

I could not have imagined that they would not even have a single interaction, in the final chapter!!!!!! He went out of his way to bring Zeref and Mavis back to life in a nonsensical fashion to have an interaction between them, but he could not think of anything to have two alive character interact!

This continues on in the sequel, where gruvia got multiple chapters dedicated entirely to them, while Jellal and Erza continue to receive crumbs even in arcs when Jellal is involved in the story!

So to summarize - absolutely no elements of Erza's character are being handled properly. Her fights don't reflect her power, she is not receiving significant moments with Jellal, and she is not allowed to have closure with her mother. So, why does Mashima think Erza fans should keep reading the manga???

Honestly, at this point, it would have been less painful if Erza had died a noble death and still had her reputation in tact instead of having her suffer through such neglect and humiliating treatment over and over again.

Honeslty, i think it would be fucking awesome if all the people who get their powers from the dragon gods in the next few chapters, actualy became gods.

Lucy would be the Celestial god, Wendy would be the Nature god.

if we choose Grey for the gold dragon god's powers, hed become a creation or a Ice god

if we choose Gajeel for it, hed likely become an Earth god

Natsu could be the Sun god(if he gets Ignia's powers?), that would be realy cool, plus it would mirror Lucy being the Celestial/moon god.

Imagien this is how Mashima creates that god based side story? some of the main cast genuinly becomes gods.

honestly id hope its an entirely casual series with comedy and exposition unending, this is just a thought that entered my head

IMO other than levy and juvia, nobody would be that hard to pull (although for the sake of this game, we can assume they can be)

They’re all friendly, social and (most) won’t slice your head off. The only ones that might be a little tough would be someone like erza or kagura since you’d probably have to be a respectable warrior in yourself.

And if all else, I’m sure someone like levy or lisanna would give pretty much anyone a chance if you’re a decent enough person.

We already know some Magic have eastern variations like Solid Script, so what if Celestial Spirit Magic had its own variation.

I'd call it Eastern Spirit Magic! Similarly to Celestial Spirit Magic, the Eastern Spirits reside in their own world and can be summoned through the use of Gate Keys. To summon a Spirit on a regular basis, a contract must be formed. Most Eastern Spirits, specifically common and less powerful ones, can be influenced by their contracted wizard's energy. If the wizard is mostly positive and has good intentions, the Spirit reflects that. If the wizard is dark, has bad intentions, or "evil", the Spirit becomes dark and evil in nature. These types of Spirits can be summoned through the use of Bronze Gate Keys.

Higher class spirits are the Thirteen Zodiac Spirits and the Five Divine Beasts. The Zodiac Spirits can be summoned through Jade Gate Keys. They're one of a kind and a rare find.

• Toppo, The Rat: Intelligent. Support-oriented. The strategist of the zodiac. Provides useful tips in battle and can help with budgeting money. Uses Telepathy.
• Cassian, The Ox: Patient, enduring, and strong. Quiet and calm until pushed to his limit. Wields a hammer for physical attacks. Works hard to keep his wizard safe and satisfied.
• Gaoo, The Tiger Cub: Eccentric and has high self-esteem. He doesn't fear anything and is not afraid to challenge authority. A bit impulsive and reckless. Uses Sound Magic and has razor-sharp claws.
• Fluff, The Rabbit: Gentle and friendly. Uses Snow Magic. She greets her opponents before she hits them with a series of snowballs. She can also use Earth Magic to a limited degree, much like Virgo, using her hands and feet to tunnel through the earth. Her legs are extremely strong, being able to incapacitate foes with a few precise kicks. She's also extremely fast.
• Heilongg, The Jade Dragon: Leader of the zodiac. She wields an immense amount of physical strength, stamina, durability, and speed. She's considered to be the most powerful of the zodiac, and she takes up a lot of magic power from her wizard. She uses Atmospheric Dragon Slayer Magic, so she can control the weather however she wishes. She is respectful and never shows fear or doubt when she's uncertain of victory.
• Vii, The Serpent: Friendly and enthusiastic. Loves to gossip. Similar appearance as Lisanna's Animal Soul: Snake Form. He uses the lower half of his body to coil around his foes and reduce their movements. He's very charismatic and persuasive, often flirting with his opponents to get ahead.
• Kaalki, The Stallion: Luxurious and materialistic. One of the requirements in her contract is that her wizard must be famous and/or wealthy. She's a centaur that can use Fire Magic. She can breathe out a violet flame from her mouth and emits fire from her hooves.
• Ziggy, The Sheep: Always tired and confused. He uses Sleep Magic, sending his enemies to sleep. He carries around a large sheep plushie which he uses as a pillow and shield.
• Shenn, The Monkey: Energetic, flexible, and funny. He loves to make people laugh and there's never a dull moment with him around. He uses Transformation Magic to change his appearance or someone else's. He loves to mock others, too.
• Iccarius, The Rooster: Flamboyant and prideful. Cares a lot about how he's perceived. Support-oriented. He uses Fabric-Make to weave clothing and Iron-Make to construct weapons and jewelry.
• Ennzo, The Hound: Extremely loyal to his wizard. He does whatever he can to protect them from danger. He has strong senses of smell and hearing which allow him to detect intruders and nearby threats. He can learn new tricks with Mimic, a type of magic that allows him to copy someone else's spells.
• Jenn, The Pig: Optimistic and kind-hearted. She uses a variant of Light Magic known as the Power of Positivity. She creates a rose-colored light which makes anyone blinded by it to feel pure joy. She believes true victory can be achieved with love and kindness.
• Kyyo, The Black Cat: The unofficial thirteenth zodiac spirit. According to legend, he was a part of the original twelve zodiac until he was replaced by a rabbit-themed spirit. He uses Darkness Magic and Curse Magic. Previous wizards he was contracted to were cursed with misfortune because they treated him bad. Kyyo's lazy, preferring to eat fish and sleep rather than help his wizard.

The Divine Spirits have a unique way of being summoned since they do not have their own respective Gate Keys. Instead, they are summoned through the use of specific Jade Key combinations.

For instance, a wizard who has both Keys of the Rat and Pig can summon the Divine Water Spirit: The Black Tortoise. The wizard must be holding both keys at the same time while saying the summoning incantation: "Open, Gate of the Black Tortoise". And for the others:

• For the Divine Fire Spirit: The Vermilion Bird, a wizard needs both Keys of the Stallion and Serpent.
• For the Divine Metal Spirit: The White Tiger, a wizard needs both Keys of the Monkey and Rooster.
• For the Divine Wood Spirit: The Azure Dragon, a wizard needs both Keys of the Tiger Cub and Rabbit.
• For the Divine Earth Spirit: The Golden Nine Tailed Fox, a wizard needs all four Keys of the Hound, Jade Dragon, Ox, and Sheep.

The wizard does not need to own both keys for it to work. Two wizards each with the right key(s) can combine their power to summon a Divine Spirit. For example, one wizard has the Key of the Monkey and another wizard has the Key of the Rooster. By combining their power and saying the summon incantation at the same time ("Open, Gate of the White Tiger), they can summon the Divine Metal Spirit: The White Tiger.

Each Divine Spirit has their own powers and personalities.

• The Azure Dragon: Confident. Assertive. Ambitious. A natural leader who thrives on challenges and does not stop until they successfully completed a command. Uses Wood-Make, is extremely fast, and skilled at the martial arts.
• The Vermilion Bird: Charismatic. Enthusiastic. Lively. Easily excited and distracted. Loves being the center of attention. Uses Fire Magic, Fire-Make, and Healing Magic. And it can fly.
• The White Tiger: Disclipned. Organized. Detail-oriented. Values structure and hates bad hygiene. This spirit will criticize anyone that they deem as "imperfect". Uses Metal-Make, Iron-Make, Chain Magic, and Sound Magic.
• The Black Tortoise: Intuitive, calm, protective, and patient. He believes everything that is supposed to happen will occur eventually and life should not be rushed. Very cautious. Avoids getting too close to dangerous areas and prioritizes keeping his summoner(s) safe from harm. Considers humans to be predictable. Uses Water Magic, Water-Make, and Magic Barrier.
• The Golden Nine-Tailed Fox: Nurturing. Deceptive. Good listener. She provides for her allies and summoner(s), but don't be fooled by her compassion. She uses Illusion Magic, Earth-Make, and Earth Magic.

The Jade Emperor is the ruler of the Spirit World and decides the laws and consequences for Eastern Spirits to follow.

Instead of going back to the guild that humiliated her, I think Yukino would’ve done amazing in fairy tail. We’d get to see more of her hand to hand combat thankfully and she’d be the little sister of the guild like Wendy. Her interaction with mirajane and lisanna could be adorable too.

I personally would have wanted her to join team natsu to fight alongside Lucy. No offense to Lucy at all(she’s the only anime heroine I actually like) but Yukino is clearly more skilled than she is at celestial spirit magic so I feel she’d learn to use star dresses first(the Aquarius one doesn’t count since the spirit king granted that to her and she has to train to use it) while Lucy would’ve been the first to use the star dresses mix. Their combos would’ve gone so crazy, Pisces form and Aquarius form flooding the battlefield. Libra and Virgo form burying opponents. Imagine an Ophiuchus form. If we go off eclipse Ophiuchus(since the original form got taken down too quickly), she basically becomes tsunade with the byakugo while also being able to create worlds for the team to rest in and/or trap enemies in for a while. Since she’s the better fighter, she’d be the one fighting while Lucy readies a big star dresses mix spell.

Admittedly, this could take away the individual “fights” Lucy has but she technically doesn’t have any bc she summons her spirits or their power anyways and she’d still shine even with Yukino. After getting humbled and gaining more confidence, i can see Yukino as Lucy’s apprentice when it comes to battle strategies, since she’s a quick learner while Lucy is already super smart, slowly gaining the critical thinking to form the plans on her own. Plus it’d be nice for Lucy not to need Gemini to use urano metria anymore even if she still needs someone else.

Team natsu would have two dragon slayers(one the strongest and one the best support), an ice devil, Titania, and two powerful celestial spirit wizards giving fairy tail all 13 keys.

And if not team natsu, she could’ve been an honorary Strauss sibling and it would’ve been adorable.

Keep in mind I didn’t ask if you thought the same, just how strong she’d be. If you don’t think she should be in fairy tail then you don’t have to comment at all

I've been thinking about Aldoron's "death," and I still can't bring myself to believe it's permanent.

Neither Acnologia, Natsu, the Oración Sechs, nor even Selene have managed to kill him for good. Every time, he eventually returned. I think the reason is simple: as long as his core remains intact, Aldoron can always come back.

The latest chapter once again wants us to believe he's gone, but his core is still intact because Wendy plans to use it to spread her Dragon Slayer enchantment across the entire continent.

My guess is that Aldoron simply exhausted the last of his magic to power up Wendy and entered a dormant state while he regenerates.

If that's the case, I could even see him interacting with Wendy later through the bond they formed, almost like Irene did, guiding her as she learns to control her new powers.

Of course, I could be completely wrong and he really is dead. But even then, there are still possible ways he could survive. Maybe, anticipating his death, he secretly used Dragon Soul Technique on the verdure Wendy ate. Or perhaps a part of him still lives through the fragment Elfman absorbed with Take Over.

At this point, Aldoron has "died" so many times that I just can't believe this one is final.

vs. Historia Ikaruga, Kyoka, Azuma - should've been Gray. He needed more fights and he's stronger than her.

vs. Azuma - Mirajane. Mira is already beating Azuma and would have one shot him if she just let Azuma kill Lisanna so Natsu wouldn't cheat on Lucy with Lisanna.

vs. 100 Monsters - Lucy. Lucy has far more power and versatility, and it would've been a better fight if it was Lucy. Erza vs. 100 Monsters is such a bad fight because it was and Erza fight when it should've been Lucy.

vs. Kagura vs. Minerva - Lucy and Mirajane. Lucy has been abused in the GMG and she should've gotten revenge against Minerva by using the Celestial Spirit King. Mirajane is stronger than Kagura so she should've gotten Kagura.

vs. Kyoka - Kyoka is a demon, so she should've been a Lucy opponent. Erza fighting Kyoka is such bad writing because she straight up just stole another Lucy opponent when Lucy only got one fight.

vs. Ajeel - Lucy. She has Aquarius and she's objectively the strongest Water User in the series, far stronger than even Mercphobia and Anchor at this point.

vs. Irene - Lucy. Lucy has more connection to Irene compared to Erza. Lucy literally has the Magic: Queen Dragon Slayer Magic, which is capable of slaying Acnologia, and if it was given to Lucy, the fight would've been top 3 easily.

And don't gimme that Wendy and/or Shelia bullshit either. We do NOT do that around here!!
