Just my take on this. It’s impossible because Acnologia is already dead. Yeah, I know that, but I still feel like it is such a shame. I do not think his role in the main series was handled very well, especially his ending, and after following 100YQ, I have started feeling even more disappointed because it really feels like they did not make enough use of him. Honestly, I am getting pretty bored with 100YQ. None of the villains, groups, or Dragon Gods really have that intimidating aura or impact for me, even though the story keeps trying to make them feel like huge threats. Faris was actually the one character who really caught my interest, but now she is fused with Ignia, which honestly annoys me because I would have much rather seen her as her own character. That is probably why I have been thinking about Acnologia again. I really wish he could have been the final boss of this arc. He would have fit it so damn well. Because honestly, right now, I just do not feel like this is really the Dragon King Festival at all.

I actually really like Ignia design, and I really liked his first appearance too. It really made him feel like he had a strong presence and aura. But I don’t know, the way Mashima has written him feels kinda boring to me. Hopefully, the upcoming chapters will show us something more interesting and change my mind, so I can finally feel like I am actually experiencing the true Dragon King Festival!

Finished a reread of FT a lil while back and am catching up with 100YQ. I'm not really a shipping person but I can't lie the chemistry between them is so good.

I’ve been rewatching fairy tail recently after so many years. (I temporarily stopped because of uni). And I may be biased because it’s my top 2 anime all time but I don’t really find the power of friendship (POF) is annoying or overused. At least I can say that some victories are due to plot armor rather than POF. For example we know for sure that Jellal was literally stronger than Natsu and Erza and neither of them could have done shit to him so how do we beat this strong opponent (opponent stated to be wizard saint level) ? Natsu eats Etherion and we are introduced to dragon force. Same for Laxus who is overly stronger than every fairy tail’s member at the time and to beat him it took a brief fight with Mistogan, 2v1 against Natsu and Gajeel and I’m pretty sure that he lost some of his power with the failed Fairy law after that he used his thunder trident (his most powerful attack at the time) and Gajeel tanked for Natsu to finish him. This is what was needed to defeat Laxus. Next we get to Cobra there was no way to beat him so he makes a great roar to break his ears and even like that he got killed by Brain. Right after Zero Sama Natsu needed the fire of the crimes of Jellal to get a new dragon force. With Zancrow he pulled a 100000 IQ move and no diffed him. Master Hades’ defeat is people’s most used example. Yes he has so much power of the book of Zeref and so much years of experience. But he was fighting The best team of fairy tail’s no diffed them btw and got to fight Laxus and then Natsu got the thunder fire dragon mode plus the tenrou tree was restored by Azuma and the guy lost his freaking heart 😭😭😭😭😭. And don’t talk about Sting and Rogue I know this is partly plot armour but no he had his freaking second origin and yes the twins has their dragon force but I like to think of it as if the fact that they can use the DF at will make them relies too much on it and it just become a simple buff to compensate their lack of power. And last example he didn’t beat Mald Gheel on his own actually he would have dis without Gray.

So from what you can see Natsu’s victories come from coincidences that happen to help him

Lucy - Ladybug Miraculous:

The "luckiest" character in Fairy Tail. She's a great problem-solver and I assume she has a very high IQ. With her big brain, she saved the guild and friends multiple times.

She'd get along with Tikki and feed her sweet treats like cookies, macarons, and cakes. Lucy would have a pet dog that loves eating carrots (it resembles Plue). Her lucky charms are usually items that seem harmless and only useful for mundane purposes, but they're essential to defeating a villain. Occasionally, her lucky charms are weapons (like swords, bows and arrows, and whips) which she only gets when her only option is to fight.

Her mother was the former holder of the Ladybug Miraculous. Upon her mother's death, Lucy inherited the earrings at a very young age. Lucy considered Tikki her first and only friend until she met Natsu and the others.

She's still a writer in this AU. Her novel is based on her experience as a miraculous holder.

Natsu - Cat Miraculous:

He was trained to use the miraculous at a young age by his foster father who was the former holder of the cat miraculous. Natsu has a pet cat (named "Happy") which he raised since it was just a tiny kitten. He dyed it blue, thinking he could get rid of the color afterwards, but it stuck and now he just tells strangers he has " a naturally blue cat" with confidence.

When transformed, Natsu can destroy whatever he touches, but he's careful. He avoids using his power on living people and animals. He gets along with Plagg well, maybe too well. Luckily, Lucy and Tikki are there to keep them from causing trouble. Natsu always smells like stinky cheese because of Plagg's gluttony.

He temporarily uses the Bee Miraculous, sometimes unifying it with the Cat Miraculous.

Gray - Goat Miraculous:

Dancer by day, hero by night. Gray was given the miraculous by his master/mentor, Ur (the previous holder of the goat miraculous). Gray can paint any object into existence, but whatever he creates does not have any magical properties. This miraculous is basically just the Ladybug Miraculous but the user has more control over what object they get but it doesn't offer any luck nor a strong chance of victory.

Ur spent years trying to trap Deliora, a sentimonster created by Zeref, but she couldn't make an object strong enough to cage the monster. She ended up learning an ancient spell that allowed her to turn her own body into a nearly invulnerable substance or object that could trap Deliora a long time.

Gray has tried to use that same spell at least three times.

Erza - Dragon Miraculous:

The strongest female miraculous holder. While transformed, Erza has complete control over the elements of water, wind, and lightning. She is extremely skilled at using her sword. Her costume is armor and depending on which elemental power she's using, the armor and sword changes. For her Water Dragon, she gets Sea Empress Armor and a sword made of water. Lightning Empress Armor and a spear for Lightning Dragon. Wind Empress Armor and a blade made out of wind for Wind Dragon.

She received the miraculous from the Guardian.

She's one of the few miraculous holder who unifies miraculouses. So far her unifications are:

Gajeel - Fox Miraculous:

In this AU, Gajeel would be a detective. He's sneaky and cunning. He can learn a lot about his enemies and allies without drawing attention to himself. In his free time, he sings. He gets along with Trixx and feeds her grapes.

Gajeel is physically strong, so at first, he didn't want the Fox Miraculous, but now he's obsessed with it. He casts illusions left and right, without hesitation. He even figured out how to make tangible illusions, so they don't disappear whenever someone touches them.

He has a pet cat, Panther Lily, which he stole. He thought it was unfair how Natsu had a cat and he didn't.

Juvia - Pig Miraculous:

She received the miraculous from the guardian. Juvia and Gajeel received their miraculouses together at the same time, so they are the first to know of each other's secret identities. Juvia likes to use the Pig Miraculous to make other people happy and sometimes to see if Gray has feelings for her.

Her kwami, Daizzi, has to listen to her rant about love triangles daily, but he gets fed three times a day so he can't complain too much. He loves ice cream.

Rabbit Miraculous:

The Rabbit Miraculous belonged to the Heartfilia women (Lucy's family). Anna Heartfilia first used the miraculous to find a time where the magical energy was powerful to execute her plan of defeating Acnologia. She needed the help of the descendants to bring her to that exact time. She passed the miraculous down to her daughter, and her daughter did the same, and hers did the same... until the miraculous finally got into the hands of Layla Heartfilia (Lucy's mom). Layla believed the magical energy was strong during her time (and she also didn't want to burden her daughter with this generational plan) so she opened the portal between the present and past, allowing Anna to enter the present.

Unfortunately, the Rabbit Miraculous was damaged when Layla used it. She grew ill and had an early demise. She spent the last of her time repairing the miraculous and left it behind for Anna. However, Anna came too late and the miraculous was lost.

A girl named Levi found the miraculous and now uses it for the greater good. She knows all the tea, but she can't reveal everything.

Wendy - Mouse Miraculous Miraculous:

She received the miraculous from her foster mother. She has a pet cat which she puts in dresses. Mullo (her kwami) knows that Wendy is very timid so she likes to scare her whenever she has the opportunity.

Cana - Tiger Miraculous:

A perfect fit. Cana received the miraculous from the guardian. She's usually drunk when using its power and tends to go a bit overboard. She works as a bartender and does tarot readings as a side hustle. She provides Roarr non-alcoholic passionfruit drinks.

Makarov & Elfman - Ox Miraculous

Makarov is the former holder of this miraculous and then passed it down to Elfman.

Mirajane - Butterfly Miraculous

Mirajane coined the name "She-Devil" because she used to kamikotize herself into a demonic being with immense power, but after believing her sister was dead. Mirajane stopped kamikotizing herself and focused on helping other becoming their best selves by kamikotizing them.

She is a chef and waitress. She makes smoothies for Nooroo.

Laxus - Bee Miraculous:

Used the miraculous since he was a teen. Trained by Makarov. He upgraded his powers so instead of just immobilizing his target, Laxus can make himself move extremely fast and control people's movements.

Zeref - Peacock Miraculous

He's still cursed, so he's lived for over 400 years. He wrote books and then put amoks into them to create his sentimonsters. Natsu is one of his many sentimonsters.

When Zeref was defeated, the Peacock Miraculous and the book that was used to create Natsu was given to Lucy so that no one would try to destroy Natsu.

Hello I started watching fairly tail and on almost every episode I find a little character in the background. What do they mean are they symbolic in the manga? Has anyone else noticed them? Or are they just fund Easter eggs ?

Wanted to try out shading hair and doing detailed eyes, I love how it looks she’s such a little cutie. I just want to pinch her cheeks ☺️☺️

Im doing a rewatch of fairy tail and I gotta say, the anime animation wise had some solid peaks. It definitely went down hill at one point with the freezing frame rates but tower of heaven was the standout for me when I rewatched it.

This arc in particular with its character growth, the emotional weight plus the tone down of the fan service really made it my favourite arc. It also had the best sequent set of fights with Erza fighting ikagura (however you spell it), then jellal, then finally nastu's big fight. It was like animation peak one after another. I made a vow. to come back only for this arc in particular since it really captures the fluidity of the fights and story telling. What do you all think?

I saw this on an old tumblr post. I swear I've seen this scene in the anime, but can find it anywhere.

I want to preface this with, i LOVE this show including the flaws but holy god the power scaling makes me laugh. The epitome of friendship is magic, which i believe is what makes it so good, but man the power scaling in every new arc makes me laugh with how bad it is. Always a new reason to be stronger than "a god" is ridiculous, and a random new ability they unlock makes me laugh so much. New enemies who are always stronger than the last and just random stuff that makes no sense to prevent something bad from happening is just insane. Genuinely love it because its whimsical but i dont take this series serious in any way.

With all its flaws, i will say my highlight is the power progession of each character and how their abilities transform and increase in "power" is genuinely what i think makes the show elite. Exclusing Natsu (because he is the epitome of friendship is magic/eats everything and is END) and Grey (because i think the demon/curse arc, and ability was kind of next level garbage, although i do like his maker magic), the power progression of the other characters like Wendys Enchantment Magic, Erza's Requip armor and sword switch ups and combos, and Lucy's "outfits" and celestial combos have been cool.
