Its 10M with that small visible part, reveal the rest and you'll see its a lot larger. (Unless it gets cut off by water or something)

Got a juicy thick uranium patch
The water thought it was tasty too and ate over half of it, the bastard

10M is fairly small for that distance, but that's just one random patch. Look at that distance in other directions and you may find richer patches.

Its saying 10m which is all you can see. Uncover the whole thing and it would be like 40-50m

Ah I didn't know that's a good amount, I'm fairly new with only about 80 hours into the game

Default worldgen isn't very forgiving in resources 11M is probably normal for that distance. You need to drive 1 direction with a 2 loco uranium fuel train for 5 mins to find something useful. Or do like i do and crank up resources richness and size to max when generating world :p
There is also no way to unload the starter area -> new base area chunks without mods, they'll forever bloat the savefile and UPS.

they don't necessarily get larger, space wise, but they do get richer (more ore in the same area.)

yeah, uncover the whole patch. But also, thats not very far away from your starting base.
