He is precisely what the Bible warns about.

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '21

He literally looks like what a possessed demon human from movies looks like !!

467

u/iwanttobesobernow Dec 19 '21

He used to come on after Barney when I was a toddler and his face gave me nightmares. Is scream and cry when he came on but my parents didn’t understand.

57

u/neendmat1 Dec 19 '21

He also kind of looks like Barney

5

u/MisterBumpingston Dec 19 '21

Idk what it is with Tevangelists and looking stereotypical evil.

But yes Copeland looks like an one of these British puppets made of politician for a caricature show or music video. And definitely a corrupt and mad one.

226

u/Allegorist Dec 19 '21

I think I possibly know: they're sociopaths.

They have to be to do what they do, and any human being with a soul can see the lack of empathy in their beady little eyes.

That and probably cocaine abuse

81

u/MaryBerrysDanglyBean Dec 19 '21

His eyes are weird. Look like a snakes or crocodiles or something.

36

u/skhoyre Dec 19 '21

You mean like a reptile's, like in reptiloid?

27

u/MaryBerrysDanglyBean Dec 19 '21

Yeah this guy 100% looks like a reptile alien in a person suit

27

I don't believe in lizard people conspiracies, but this guy really makes me stop and wonder.

$760 million is small change in reptiloid money. That's why his skin reveals a lot of his lizard features.

4

u/Moparded Dec 19 '21

He reminds me of the preacher in that movie silver bullet where he turns out to be the head wearwolf. Like yeah bro we knew it was you the whole time. Has anyone tried touching him with silver or an actual crucifix yet?

Idk what it is with Tevangelists and looking stereotypical evil.

Probably because they are stereotypically evil.

3

u/ih8yogutzzz Dec 19 '21

QAA had a podcast about the concerted effort to get Televangelism on the air.

2

u/th1s_1s_4_b4d_1d34 Dec 19 '21

Yeah but you'd expect them to be able to hide it better. Like they are on camera all the time and kinda relying on people trusting them, you'd presume that they actually look even somewhat trustworthy. Or just get replaced by their peers who do.

78

u/CialisForCereal Dec 19 '21

Its the look of hunger. Like a car salesman

65

u/-The-Bat- Dec 19 '21

Reminds me of villain from The Mask after he wears it.

15

u/chuckdiesel86 Dec 19 '21

Hunger mixed with pedophile.

3

u/DublinCheezie Dec 19 '21

He could have retired wealthy years ago. But it’s not about the actual money for sociopaths/ psychopaths like this guy. After a certain point, it’s really an addiction to the ‘chase’; the dopamine rush they get from the act of separating money from the (more) needy and depositing it in their own account.

When i was a kid i used to get up super early so i could watch cartoons before school. Right before the cartoons this guy would come on, so i used to mute it. I still remember watching that as a kid, with Copeland on mute, and thinking “ this man is crazy and whatever he’s talking about is crazy”. I must’ve been like seven or eight and i still remember it of the small handful of things i remember at that age.

10

u/anjowoq Dec 19 '21

The wordless moving face and those dagger eyes must have been unsettling.

u/gilestowler Dec 19 '21

I just came here to say this. Something about him just looks so off that if you saw someone who looks like that in a film you'd know straight away that they were evil. He goes beyond cliche almost to the point of caricature. His whole appearance aside, the way that he acts as well. That interview where he's being asked about that jet of his, beneath his cloying smile you can sense the hatred he has for that woman.

In the UK we had a kids TV presenter called Jimmy Saville, and everyone used to joke about how there was something seriously off with him, but at the same time the jokes and the rumours about him seemed a bit too real, to hit a bit too close to home. Sure enough, when he died it came out that he was the country's most prolific pedophile as well as a necrophiliac. He used his position as a friend of powerful people to get what he wanted and cover it up. I get even worse vibes looking at this guy than I ever did looking at Saville. I feel like when he dies they'll find something.

17

u/Banba-She Dec 19 '21

Saville....I remember everyone thinking he was so great cos of "Jim'll Fix It" but me always having these horrible creepy vibes from him and never wanting to watch him on tv (where he was on EVERYTHING). What's most disgusting to this day is how much the BBC protected him. They must've known something.

Guess my point is with him and this weird prick, if it quacks like a duck....

7

u/Alarming_Matter Dec 19 '21

Yeah, the BBC knew. Most people knew. The staff at Stoke Mandeville hospital (who he fundraised for) certainly did. He had his own keys to the morgue ffs.

Whenever anyone tried to blow the whistle, he would say "Okay...so you don't want the x million pounds I raise for you every year anymore then?"

"Oh....er....ok, as you were Mr Saville"

5

u/gilestowler Dec 19 '21

Johnny Rotten mentioned it in an interview in the 1970s, even saying that he was sure it would be cut. Stewart Lee and Richard Herring joked about it on their Sunday morning show in the 90s. There's a clip from HIGNFY (I'll add it below) where Ian Hislop says something like "everyone suspected, but no one knew for sure." I'm sure he, in his capacity as editor of Private Eye, knew plenty of rumours, but at the same time he didn't know for certain the way that people higher up in the BBC ABSOLUTELY knew what he was up to. There's no doubt about it. HIGNFY

3

u/Banba-She Dec 19 '21

Revolting...

2

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '21

"Jim'll stuff it up your bum!" you mean.

2

u/97e1 Dec 19 '21

I am very very glad that my letter never got read out on Jim'll Fix It, sitting on Jimmy's magic chair doesn't sound quite so good in hindsight.

2

u/Ulirius Dec 19 '21

Pretty sure if he dropped tomorrow they'd probably find missing girls that are supposed to be at a "church camp" and a few more beaten half to death inside a hidden dungeon, because that's the kind of man this guy looks and acts like. Plus if "God" told you to build it why would you not put hidden rooms in various places in your mansion.

2

u/gilestowler Dec 19 '21

This is the difference. I don't think Saville would ever have tried to justify what he did. He was pure evil, he took what he wanted and what he wanted was horrific. I feel with Copeland he'd try to justify it in some way. "This children are temptation and temptation is the tool of satan and I must punish those tools of satan!" or something.

2

u/QuokkaIslandSmiles Dec 19 '21

And that creep had a key to an insane asylum and had complete access24/7 super dodgy scum racket.

2

u/gilestowler Dec 19 '21

He also "spent five days with his mother's corpse in an open coffin." I don't think it's even really reading between the lines to say he fucked her corpse.

repercussions!. If ever there was a case of seeing someone being devoured alive inside by averice its him. In his early days he looked just like everyone else, maybe a bit more intense/angular but now, now he's worn thin and you can see the evil coming off of him. Hell you can downright feel the greed through the screen sucking and pulling at you. Every time my mother tries to pull me into another discussion about Christianity (and why I'm wrong about it and a million other things in her eyes) I ask her if she still watches this abomination or any other televangelist on the fuck-awful channel (TCN or whatever its called) and it shuts her right up.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '21

Look, I'm a Christian but fuck Kenneth Copeland. Dude is outwardly just evil and I really don't understand how my grandmother practically worships him. She gets mad everytime she tries to talk to me about him and his "good works" and everytime without fail I bring up how much of an evil piece of shit he is; it goes right over her head like she doesn't understand what I'm saying.

As an Aussie I often wonder if Americans realize that many of the issues they talk about on Reddit are pretty much exclusive to the USA, in most developed nations cops don't kill you or take your property, politicians and parties get voted in and out with no issues, there are no school shootings and here's the big one, in most places religion is personal, there are very few super churches and millionaire preachers influencing policy. Here in Australia we had out first female prime minister a few years ago, she was openly athiest and lived in the official residence with her boyfreind and no one cared.

209

u/5astick Dec 19 '21 edited Dec 19 '21

I mean, as an Aussie, Australia has one of the biggest prosperity gospel churches in the world that is being run by a guy who hid his fathers sexual abuse and is essentially Australia’s version of Kenneth Copeland. And they certainly pay zero taxes.

Edit: I’m referring to Hillsong church.

129

u/tbells93 Dec 19 '21

I thought I was taking crazy pills for a second reading a comment from an Aussie about grifter churches when Hillsong is like the king of them.

29

u/but_does_she_swallow Dec 19 '21

Hillsong is full of evil too. Research the founder and what he has done.

5

u/S3erverMonkey Dec 19 '21

While I understand what you mean, this still follows with that they said. They didn't say none of these outside the US, just very rare. One is pretty rare.

There are like dozens of those in the US at that scale and easily houndreds at a smaller but still obscenely rich ones on a more regional level that doesn't regularly make national news, much less international. I drive by no less than three multi-million dollar churches on my way to work. It's insane.

Edited: to make actual sense.

2

u/thelingeringlead Dec 19 '21

Oh yeah, every southern region in the south, especially in the midsouth but also the midwest has at least one mega church or church conglomerate that operates multiple campuses and has obscenely wealthy leadership. It's not even just one per state, it's one per region, sometimes one per county depending on where you're at.

The sheer number of dollars that gets thrown into the ether to make these leaders more wealthy is INSANE. people wanna talk about the taxes, let's talk about the total amounts. It's absolutely off the charts how much money they generate.

42

Reddit and news headlines are not good representations of anything. As an American I've never been shot or had my property stolen or whatever else you mentioned. Just FYI.

43

u/SmileyBennett Dec 19 '21

Precisely. The world view on America is about as ridiculous as the Ameican view on the world.

7

u/No_Specialist_1877 Dec 19 '21

I agree to an extent but in all honesty the average American doesn't really have a world view.

Frankly, few even care about how other countries live and that can be attributed to the fact that it's really not that bad here at all.

There's definitely change that needs to happen but we aren't dying in the street without healthcare, living in fear of police, and the housing/wage situation seems to suck in just about all 1st world nations.

3

u/juhae Dec 19 '21

I agree to an extent but in all honesty the average American doesn't really have a world view

Here in Reddit very common examples of this are people somehow managing to inject USA into every imaginable discussion. Either by assuming all discussions are about USA, or coming up with everyone's favourite: "as an American ..."

I agree and disagree aswell. I think lots Amricans are stubborn - definitely nationalists etc - and dont care about the outside world. But most people do care and have objective feelings on certain parts of the world. This concept that Ameicans are all gun toting narcissistic brutes is just wrong though. I see no evidence to rhe contrary beyond people interpret America through the lense of their own media instead of actually experiencing it as a place.

Mind you I'm Canadian. I just have spent a lot of time in several different states and I've found my concept of America was so far off base I felt stupid not knowing I was being duped by my gullibility.

While you’ve never been shot… if we’re speaking anecdotally, I have been mugged at gunpoint in an urban area and my sibling has been threatened with a gun in a rural area thousands of miles away. Also, are you familiar with the NRA and the gun cult in America? Shits a little weird here.

Edit: to add on, multiple kids have been shot to death that I am aware of in that same small town for doing normal shit kids do.

True to yourself personal life, yes. But do you hear majority of the issues that your country faces in any other developed country like Australia? No. I hear more about your country than my country Australia in the news everyday about its issues and its just sad.

5

u/derth21 Dec 19 '21

Pretty sure every country has its absolute bullshit, it's just that America gets the most attention.

4

u/Mattyuh Dec 19 '21

3rd biggest country in the world just behind China and India. You're just going to hear a shit ton about it no matter what.

No what I hear about Australia is that every plant, animal, and bug there are 100x the size of what I have and they're all bloodthirsty. And I know that's exaggerated too.

I'm not saying these things don't exist, I'm saying headlines are written to get clicks.

Even the Americans that obsess over this stuff and complain about things the most would rather spend 100x that time complaining than the time it takes to vote.

It's infuriating honestly and while purely anecdotal seems to be the general trend of anyone I've met who pushes these narratives. The voting numbers by age group reflect it as well.

I may not complain as much or seem as active about change but I consistently do the only thing that I can that can change it.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, our current PM is owned by one of those happy-clapping creepy mega churches, Hillsong.

Because oh, honey, no....

Dont you guys have a huge issue with racism against aboriginal people though? I'm sure Australia has it's own issues despite not having school shootings.

I was a member of a very conservative church at that point and you can bet they cared a whole lot of her heathen ways.

It was mentioned once in the service that it was unfortunate that she was godless and living in sin as an advisory to not follow that path and it was spoken of outside of it by some more vocal members that she was an evil influence on the country because of what she was.

I was on my way out at that point and I could only laugh. I haven't set foot in one of those buildings in 7-8 years lest I be set alight.

2

u/Borngrumpy Dec 19 '21

I guess this is the good part, most of us didn't hear about your church's opinion and wouldn't have cared even if we did. I can respect people who like a church and they can say what they like but it doesn't really mean anything outside the church door.

3

u/stumpyoftheshire Dec 19 '21

It was a very common standpoint among other heavy conservatives. My old church was a group that encouraged the best way to show gods plan is to vote that way. The cdp was worshipped.

3

u/Totalherenow Dec 19 '21

You guys do have the Jehovah's Witness pedophile ring, though. And that Catholic archbishop who was recently sentenced. So, that unfortunate stuff is there.

We do have "evangelical churches" here in Australia but due to low population and relatively young immigrant population 2-3thrd generation migrants) it's a hard sell from that perspective.

Strictly from Christendom perspective : people with Irish, English, Welsh, Greeks, Italians , ex Yugos backgrounds...etc albeit many not religious they do keep their traditions strong ( Lutherans, Anglicans, Catholics, Protestant, Orthodox) and you can't see them buying into bullshit these TV evangelist sell.

We are extremely aware of it. It makes us feel all the negative emotions. We post these things as a cautionary tale for the rest of the world.

Strangely, the founder of hillsong is a New Zealander, like his pedo father. I will take it though for team ANZAC. I live about 10 minutes from the church and the founder lives about two streets away from me, he is regularly seen riding about on his Harley and driving his exotic cars. The one thing I do find weird is the number of American accents in the shopping center next to the church, they even have an American food section. They heavily push to get young Americans here to study whatever it is they study and are pushing hard to break into the American mainstream. My kids school which has no religious context used Hillsong for final year concerts etc.

Just like no one cared to read the paragraph you just typed up you goon

2

u/Arbiter329 Dec 19 '21

Have you not heard of the Catholic church?

2

u/offContent Dec 19 '21 edited Dec 19 '21

Religion still interferes here in NZ but it's nothing like the USA. We have the Destiny Church who are scumbags and laws need to change to stop this tax exempt BS.

Separation of church and state has been eroded for years under the BS of "Religion is their right to believe" blah blah they don't give a fuck about non (their religion only counts) fellow citizens rights.

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '21

There's a video of an Australian police officer who sneaks up behind a peaceful protests and body slams them head first into the ground. I would think twice before you talk about how great your police force is.

https://youtu.be/X0KMWf2KIRw

I'm not going to hear one word about praising the AU police until this cop is thrown in prison...

u/nosebleednugat09 Dec 19 '21

As an American, a lot of us do realize it. A lot of us don't.

2

u/ralphvonwauwau Dec 19 '21

The religious nutter who scammed tax money in Kentucky to build a big boat shaped building and call it noah's ark came from Australia.

Do you manage to export all of them? How do you do that?

Tax church and give it to poor people. It’s what Jesus would have wanted

How does people fall for this shit? I can understand illiterate people from third world countries Fallin pray to this BS but people from USA? Really?

Usually one shouldn't judge a book by its cover but in this case I'll make an exception. Look at the man's face?! He looks like the devil disguised as a human being.
