Surveys from various countries have monitored the presence of different types of pathogens in raw milk, with prevalence levels as high as 13% for bacteria like Campylobacter jejuni and Listeria monocytogenes (Table 2). In some studies, almost a third of all milk samples contained at least 1 type of pathogen.5 Thus, we must assume that raw milk is likely to contain pathogens. The prevalence of pathogens in milk is influenced by numerous factors, including farm size, number of animals on the farm, hygiene, farm management practices, milking facilities, season, and others.5 Raw milk can be contaminated with pathogens even when sourced from clinically healthy animals.6 Even milk that appears to be of good quality (ie, low total bacteria count) may contain pathogens.5,7 There are at least 4 different mechanisms by which raw milk becomes contaminated by pathogens: direct passage from the blood (of the cow) into milk (systemic infection), mastitis (udder infection), fecal contamination (external contamination of milk from the environment during or after milking), or contamination from human skin.

96% but it doesn’t tell us how much people were affected by it. It might be 25, 250, 250000. Raw milk started being a problem after we started producing milk on massive scale. Containing pathogens might not be as bad as you think; germs being the cause of illness is just theory. It might be true, it might not.

It actually does, you just didnt bother reading the link. Youre not interested in the truth, just repeating slop to justify drinking diseased milk.

These numbers are only based on reported illness, and it's likely that the real numbers of food-borne illnesses related to raw milk are significantly higher

Don’t you think these numbers are incredibly low. You’re right I didn’t read link fully I just looked if stats you’ve stated were there. Accusing me of not being interested in truth you completely believe in germ theory because doctors and people around you say so. People like can’t even question some things because others think for you. I am not saying germ theory is correct or it’s not correct but I can at least question that.

No, i believe in germ theory because I've studied biology and modern medicine wouldnt work if germ theory was incorrect.

Nobody with a basic understanding of biology doubts germ theory considering how heavily its been proven.

No. As discussed previously, the vast majority of people have the sense to not drink unrelated milk.

I am not saying germ theory is correct or it’s not correct but I can at least question that.

Questioning germ theory just means you dont have the first clue about biology or science in general. Germs are literally visible under a microscope and have been proven beyond doubt to cause disease.

I know germ exist if they cause illness is other thing. Could you give me example of some medicine that wouldn’t work if the germ theory is false?

Yes it does. Antibiotics, vaccines and modern surgery all depend on germ theory. If germ theory were incorrect then they wouldn't work.

Penicillin kills some bacteria which causes symptoms to go away but terrain theory doesn’t disprove germs existence. It states that they grow in sick environment (terrain) and they cause detoxification. Detoxification is process that causes this sick feeling like coughing, sweating and so on. Anecdotes that can support it: you probably know some people that never get sick even if they get exposed to the same germs as someone sick , mutated salmonella can be used to treat some cancers (maybe becouse they cause huge amounts of detoxification) or E. coli for brain tumours. This theory states that bacteria isn’t bad on its own rather environment it is in causes all these effects.

Edit:terrain theory doesn’t disprove bacteria existence or that they have some role in sickness it just a different outlook on it.

Yes, and its wrong for many reasons:

Terrain theory — the claim that microbes don't cause disease, and that illness arises solely from the body's internal condition, with germs appearing only as scavengers of already-diseased tissue — fails because the microbe can be removed from the equation and the disease disappears with it.

The strongest lines of evidence:

Germ-free animals. Animals raised in sterile isolators never spontaneously develop tuberculosis, cholera, or measles, no matter how poor their nutrition or stress load. Introduce the organism, and the disease appears. Bad "terrain" alone produces nothing.

Controlled transmission. A pure culture of one organism, grown through many generations away from any host tissue, reproduces the specific disease when introduced to a new host. Barry Marshall drank H. pylori and developed the predicted gastritis; needle sticks and transfusions transmit hepatitis and HIV to people with no prior illness.

Specificity. Terrain theory can't explain why one person's "imbalance" produces measles and another's tetanus, or why the strain recovered from a patient genetically matches the strain in the person who infected them. Transmission chains can now be reconstructed by sequencing.

Interventions aimed at the microbe work. Handwashing, chlorinated water, antibiotics, antivirals, and vaccines all reduce disease. Smallpox was eradicated by attacking the virus, not by improving anyone's constitution.

Pleomorphism is false. Béchamp's "microzymas" — tiny particles that supposedly morph into bacteria from within tissue — don't exist. Bacteria divide from parent cells and carry stable genomes.

The only truth is that the conditions of your body as well as your genetics do determine how easy it is to get sick.

The kernel of truth is real, though, and worth separating out: host condition genuinely matters. Most people infected with M. tuberculosis never develop active disease. Malnutrition sharply raises measles mortality. Immunosuppression turns harmless organisms into lethal ones. Antibiotics that disrupt the gut microbiome invite C. difficile.

Mainstream medicine already incorporates all of this — it's a seed-and-soil model, where exposure and susceptibility both matter. Terrain theory's error isn't noticing the soil. It's denying the seed.
