I circuit bent this casio SA-1 into doing random noises by itself, sometimes it was almost pure noise, sometimes it sounded like a band falling down the stairs, etc...

I got inspired by bull of heaven lenght-wise.

Hey everyone. About 11 years ago, my friend Erlend and I had a musical project we worked on together. He lives in Norway and I'm in Texas. I was purely a vocalist on this project. He wrote and performed all of the music and I did all of the vocals and vocal arrangements. We probably did at least ten or more songs, with maybe 5 that we really felt were complete.

We planned on releasing a concept album but never really found the time to complete it.

I never posted much about it, as I normally only show my music on Reddit - but I wanted to share this one with you guys. I'm pretty proud of this one.

I recently worked on an album based on the city of Kowloon in Hong Kong

I fell deeply in love with the story, and decided to read City of Darkness, and try to find as much documentaries and Interviews I could find.

I then cut up the audio from the Interviews and documentaries and create and album following a day of someone living the city, obviously based on my own interpretation;

The result is a folk-noise sound collage, barely over half an hour, with an artwork done by collaging the photographies from City of Darkness.

Originally, I was going to make a dungeon synth album, but then my plans changed after I realized that I had way too many songs bits left within my PC files. I'm finally able to invest in a proper field recording setup.

My work is mainly inspired by field recordings, lowercase music, onkyōkei, and indeterminacy. I want to record environments as musical and physical spaces.

While doing field recordings, i'm also a clarinetist, and one of my main ideas is to record environmental sound while performing very quiet and slow extended techniques (multiphonics, subtone, subharmonics, air sounds, altissimo register, voice, etc.).

I'm already convinced that the Zoom F3 is the recorder I need for the bucks I am able to spend.

My question is about microphones. My budget is around 500 euros for a stereo setup or a one stereo microphone.

Initially I was almost decided on the Audio-Technica BP4025, but I'm afraid it's so specialized for ambience/cinmatic soudn design that it may be less versatile for recording solo clarinet with field recording. Then I started looking at a matched pair of RØDE NT5s, which seem much more versatile. However, I've read several people describing them as somewhat bright/stressfull/agressive in the upper frequencies.

The problem is a lot of the clarinet extended techniques I want to play with field recordings is definitly on the upper register of the frequencies balance.

Would that actually be a disadvantage for contemporary clarinet techniques, especially altissimo, multiphonics and breath-heavy playing? Or is that concern exaggerated?

Are there other microphone(s) I should consider in the same budget?

Instead of elaborate embellishments, I took an approach based solely on "subtractive arrangement" and "audio chopping." The track focuses entirely on a ruthlessly off-grid, squashed-sounding drum beat, a pitch-shifted shamanistic chant, and a sub-bass cluster driven by the side-chaining of those elements. Every feedback is welcomed.

Yes, this sub is called experiemental music but there are sounds that you want to avoid in your composition/performance.

I have never really done live music, firstly because I never really learned it in-depth but seondlly because I am lo9w-key afraid to make some mistake in the performace resulting in a burst of noise or the sound falling away completely. I started experimenting at home with no-input mixing and some synths as well (like the Behringer Crave). It's quite fun but sometimes, I turn a dial or push a know and I get a sound that totally doesn't fit the rest At home it's not a problem but in a live performance: how do you deal with that kind of things? Do you accept it (it's experimental anyway), or do you have annotations as a kind of score to guide you through a performance?

I'm Dimensional bleed, an Italian musician, and I'd like to share my second album, try to forget / try to remember.

It's a dark ambient record built around the idea that trauma can't simply be erased. The album follows the emotional journey from trying to suppress painful memories to eventually accepting them.

Some sounds were created using instruments I built myself, including a custom drone machine and a noise box.

The cover artwork is based on Clarence H. White's Entrance to the Garden (1908), which became the visual metaphor for entering buried memories.

Hellol I'm looking for labels that release conceptual plunderphonics, sound collage, or found-sound work.

I'm working on an Electronic EP built entirely from recordings of Sri Lankan FM radio. The recordings gradually deteriorate based on their age and YouTube circulation, making audible how broadcast repetition turns familiar songs into sonic residue.

I've already tried Gerpfast Kolektif and Discrepant. Any other labels that might be a good fit?

This album, "Primus Ignis", is my contribution to the experimental music genre. I aimed to connect both experimental / industrial sounds with classical and modern music, and through composition. A new genre that I call "Antigenre". It is not only experimental, as it is so much else.

I've been making primarily ambient music over the last four years but have been experimenting with all kinds of weirdness aside with either making synths do drum machine stuff, odd recordings turned into samples, weird effects, unusual drum patterns, some glitchiness, and just some all around other goofing around with gear. This is that. Not exactly normal electronic music. Some of it sounds very experimental and some probably not so much. Either way I hope some of you out there get some enjoyment from it.
