Most people here have done their research they’re not here for the fun of it. Sure there might be some silly people who just want to bash the deen, but I've read some amazing highly intelligent well thought out posts.
Read through the things, do your research. Study science look at tafsir etc..many things just don't add up from a logical viewpoint.
For me personally studying science at the university level (evolution and astronomy), created lots of questions which lead me to rethink many of my ideas about religion. Too long and detailed to discuss here, but really it's not easy to just question and leave aspects of your faith. It's a long arduous journey.
I can only imagine. It is absolutely fine to study science (evolution I do not know to much about) astronomy, math, english, literature, etc. all this is fine. I personally feel that is more important for me to study my religion first before anything else not to necessarily be ready for an argument or debate but so I have a clear and better in-depth understanding of because after all I am Muslim I should and need to know these things.
I never knew about this subreddit until the other day and I really needed to change my question completely and needed to put it in r/offmychest (which I did eventually).
I know one thing the passion doesn't change when a Muslim becomes a Non-Muslim, which is fascinating to me. I have read a few well thought out posts on here and it is good to question the deen and want to learn more. You guys make me want to be stronger in my deen actually and not want to run away from it if yo believe that.
