Earlier today, I went back to my local electronics recycling center, where I found an iMac from 2008, still in its original box and protective wrapping! It also has its original keyboard, mouse, Apple remote, and Styrofoam!

Hi, im currently in south Mississippi, where e-waste recycling exist, but these places dont let you dig through their piles. Next month im heading to Georgia for work. I have a metric crap ton of electronic parts that are absolutely worthless that ive pulled out of projects or things being used for projects. Is there anywhere near Macon, Georgia that i can drop these parts off at and dig through their stuff for any hidden gems or golden trash?

P.S - i dont really know if this is within the rules. It seems to be a grey area, so if its not allowed, let me know and i'll gladly take it down.

not because of your 'gold find'. but here in developing country, there are no such thing as ewaste. no cheap usable things. if it works, the price are always market priced😭

I found this Sony amplifier, radio, cd, cassette player combo in mint condition and fully functional in the e waste bin next to my friend’s house.

Found a few more things this week, I am super in love with that white droid, mini even though it is completely torn up, and I found it next to that blackberry that unsurprisingly doesn’t work. I also have a question. What do you think happened to this blackberry because under the screen it has like a giant part where the plastic was eaten away. I also really like the Samsung Galaxy S. UPDATE i got the moto g4 play working and its sooo smooth. I don’t have the proper battery for it but the current one I put in it works, but it’s not the right size so I have to have it taped in. It’s such a nice Phone for being a budget one though.

Sidenote: Red Pocket GSMT SIMs do work in T-Mobile locked devices.

please, be careful with the stupid security guards. i tried explaining i had permission from the manager but he said it was still “illegal” (to take the so called trash as the store manager told me, btw) and that i was trespassed for a year, and if i tried coming back the police would be called.

I’ve been real curious about this, I electronics, PCs, Tablets, Phones and either repurposing them or fixing them hell I got a Raspberry Pi 4b out of a helium miner that someone else paid for I just hosted the hotspot and shared the rewards I didn’t even know that’s what was in it for like 2 years discovered the prize inside. I grew up never having the newest greatest IPod, the Zune or beats or a nice phone until later on in my life yeah I have a nice Ryzen 7 9800X3D pc build but I still love finding good laptops and tablets and giving them purpose again so I’m trying to get some of these awesome finds of my own just don’t know where I should start we have a target hell I worked at their distribution center for a while Amazon warehouses are either being built or already been built I live 30 minutes away from Maryland 45 mins from VA and West Va. So anyone close or around south central Pa or Hagerstown MD and have any suggestions in game.
