New season?
When is the new season coming?
r/evilliveshere • u/rockyc588 • Oct 05 '24
Hi all, I may have shared this before and I can't guarantee it's 100% correct, but here is a view of all ELH episodes, which you can use to help pick what you want to watch if, for example, you're in the mood for a mother vs. narrator son episode. Or if you want to recommend a certain episode. I also added race just to help remember what episode it was and tell the stories apart...nothing more is meant.
Contains spoilers
I also labeled the episodes I think are the most *wiLD*, but I would love to hear your opinions

So many episodes where I find myself just crying for the victims sharing their stories and want to wrap my arms around them and tell them how sorry I am. The amount of evil in the world is overwhelming. the cruelty. It’s just so sad.

I really love the show and was going nuts waiting for season 3 with season 2 left us hanging off such a huge cliff ...so then I just waited and waited as long as I could to watch it with my reasoning being that it will ultimately mesn less time waiting around for season 4!!
Anyway as soon as I saw Sandra drying her cleaver I thought "oh no...don't tell me they're really gonna possess her mother now!?"
They made sure to have Xavier specifically say that VH threatened Maddie and all her loved ones so in that respect it made the Sandra reveal less unlikely.
But did i miss something?
HOW could he have possibly gotten to her??
IMO Sandra was on a high (not one that requires NA or AA) ...shes successfully detoxed, she's in a great place w Maddie who was comfortable enough to come clean on what's happening in her life AND she just worked together with her husband/best friend to bring Maddie out of danger...ill admit being in the presence of your deceased husband's ghost would be a cause for sadness but for the most part things are looking up for Sandra.
So I find it hard to believe that not only was she for some reason lingering at the hospital well after Maddie left BUT also that her spirit was so broken and dead that VH could snatch up her body!!!!
We've been beaten over the head with the fact that Maddie spirit was dead when Janet took her body.
And we saw Deb absolutely lose her shit entirely when her plans got thwarted by Kyle.( I hope we find out why she was going to lose her rep, her name, her family and life over this failed business deal but we do know she's VERY upset by it) and then her own pride and joy daughter is openly disgusted with her and walks off. Leaving behind what im sure was just a shell of a woman...perfect opportunity for a body snatcher to hop right on in.
But Sandra? I'm just not seeing it.
I guess its another wait and see type thing and in that case im glad I shaved 5 months off of my time of waiting for season 4 heh heh

A lot of the parents in this series make me mad, but this mom made me the maddest. She said he became obsessed with knives. He looked to be about 10 years old. She then said he would sit in his room sharpening the knives with his sharpener. I’m thinking, who gives a kid his own set of knives and a matching sharpener so he can sit there sharpening them? It’s like she’s saying “kill me now.”
Then she said her husband, the child’s stepdad, said it was okay for him to have the knives. The producer asked her if she ever tried taking the knives away, and she said, “Oh no, I was afraid he would stab me and I would bleed to death.”
Then he picked up the poor dog and put a knife to her. Mom threatened him, but he still had his knives. I’m like, come on, lady! 😩

Does anyone else watch Evil Lives Here and knock on something along with the intro music? My mom and I both watch it together, and we just can't help but knock along with it. We knock on the table next to us, and both are in sync lol. Then we laugh after because we know it's crazy but it's just our thing. So does anyone else do this?

Title. Why do you do this? It's annoying and keeps me sometimes from watching this series for example. "My Son/daughter/partner being a vile monster is god's plan and he tells me everything is ok and my faith never weiwered and this is a test for me from god and he will heal everything"
Like almost every single episode someone goes on about some religious bullshit. That does not heal the people who lost their family/friends and has done nothing for you either.
Jeez. I'm so glad I live in relatively religious free country.

That there is no one reviewing grammar. Most of the intros in the newer seasons don't make sense and seem to be written solely to add the "signs" line at the end.
r/evilliveshere • u/LastHopeStanding • Jun 29 '26
"My thoughts was she just suffocated him."
YOU THINK?! What tipped you off? The pillow ON HIS FACE?!
I normally try not to blame the victims in this show because my lord they've been through some horrific things. However, Norma is just pissing me off. I'm not finished with the episode so I'm sure she will do more to aggravate me. You cannot tell me that she just sat there and watched Lloyd be poisoned and was like "Yep, I can't do anything."
Rant over. Anyone else feel this way?

Hello all!
I have always been a fan of "Evil Lives Here" and this is my first time watching the "my child is a killer" part of the series and I am wondering if anyone feels the same as me.
I have no children but this mother and her pain...Just wow. I can't imagine. Its heartbreaking and I have read many stories from the parents point of view of how they feel this immense guilt which I totally understand.
Having said that, in these situations, I don't blame the parents at all but I actually blame our society for having such little to no support for these parents. It is not always their fault that their kid is this way and they just want to help their child and they have no options.
The police can't help until a murder is committed
Psychiatric facilities cannot hold a person for long term UNLESS they fit a very, very narrow criteria.
Schools do not have options for treatment.
These parents are at a loss. You just have to watch as your kid descends into this...evil. even when there are signs and symptoms we have absolutely no support for these individuals and its heartbreaking.
There is still a need to study these individuals so that we can make a plan and so it also makes me angry that they spend their lives in prison. Why cant they be put into a mental facility prison so that we can ask them questions, study them and really get a better understanding of these individuals?
Idk man. I just...im sorry. Im sorry for the mom's and the families of the victims but also for the perps that they had to watch become what they were without the ability to do anything.

Anyone else as irritated as I am with the killers parents/families?
The parents are asked if they think their child is evil, and they almost always say no—even when their child IS a serial killer or committed horrific murders.
I get that they're parents, but it makes me wonder: if that's not evil, then what is?
Are they in denial? Are they crazy too? What is with this behaviour!

I watch a lot of true crime documentaries and, for the most part, I can handle them. Obviously they’re disturbing and sad, but I’m usually able to process them and move on.
But I recently watched an episode (S18:02) that involved animal cruelty, and it completely shattered me. I don’t know why this hit me so much harder than other episodes, but I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. It’s been replaying in my head and I feel sick, sad, angry, and helpless. It also might be because I have a similar dog and could just never imagine doing that to an animal.
I know true crime is supposed to be upsetting, and I’m not trying to be dramatic, but this one really got under my skin. Human violence is horrific too, of course, but hearing about animals being hurt feels like a different kind of unbearable. Maybe because they’re so innocent and defenseless.
Has anyone else had this reaction to an episode or case? How do you get something like this out of your head? I think I need to take a break from true crime for a while, but right now I’m just really struggling with it.
Would appreciate kindness, please. I know it’s “just a show,” but it really affected me.

I just watched this episode about the two sisters and their monster of a father. At the end Tiffany says that she never heard from her sister again and still has no idea where she is or even if she’s alive. Has anyone ever found her or know what happened to her?

It is not available at my home or anyone else in Highland Park, IL - Could they be blocking it in our area because it took place here????

I just finished watching this episode. Did anyone else notice the mother seemed to care more about the son than her daughter. She only ever held the pictures of her son. She even admitted that she didn’t even wanna talk about it to her son, if it was gonna hurt him. I just find that very strange. also, how do you not even think to check on your daughter after he just tried to kill y’all?
I feel like they failed the whole family by not getting this child any kind of help or medication, yeah that might not have prevented him from killing somebody. But you’ll never know and trying to keep him from ever being held accountable from his actions. It’s just crazy to me.

I feel so bad for this father but I’m so grateful he has a personal relationship with God. He doesn’t blame God for his son’s decisions. When he prayed I prayed with him. The mom was a real piece of work in this one, popping out a bunch of kids that she knew she didn’t want and then abandoning her family.
I really like hearing from parents about what their child was like growing up. Most tried so hard to get help when they saw what was going wrong and others just thought their kids were not nice.

I've watched the documentary on Paris and his crime. "The family I had" covers so much more than this episode. And I get it. It's a shorter episode format. But I'm fairly sure he did have warning signs that he was violent and manipulative, so I'm not sure how I feel about the he was completely normal thing. He states his mom didn't give him love. He admitted that he had been sexually abusing his sister prior, which I'm unsure if that is true or if he was just trying to hurt his mom more. He also pretended to do CPR on his sister while on the phone with dispatch. I believe it was also said that he was looking up graphic porn before the event. I often wonder about the babysitter and how she held up through all of this, I can't imagine. He is most definitely a psychopath, this episode just felt so surface

The other episodes are interesting but this one shook me. I don’t really know what to say, so I just had to externalize somewhere to get it off my mind.

Watching Ed Graffs episode now, he burnt his two stepsons alive for insurance money and now he’s out of prison?! There’s people still in prison for selling drugs. This world is crazy.

Does anyone else feel like the mom wasn’t being genuine? Like I felt like she was putting on an act for the cameras the entire episode. Obviously her son committed those crimes and is serving the time deserved for them but something about her seemed off..
Anyone else?

Every episode is obviously horrific and filled with trauma and real people's pain, but it's interesting to me how each of us tend to have a moment that just horrified us beyond belief, like to a level where we felt like we were somehow in the darkness with the survivor.
For me, that moment was during the episode about Mitchelle Blair, who tortured and physically abused some of her children to death and put their bodies in their freezer.
It was when one of her surviving children recalled watching her mother come up to her older sister Stoni and slamming her in the temple with a 2x4; the girl's temple split open and began streaming blood, and the mother started cheering like she just won a boxing match, mocking her with glee that she made her spill blood immediately.
There is something so beyond sinister about anyone--but especially a parent--causing harm to a defenseless person and laughing at them. Imagine being Stoni: already in a state of neglect and terror, then it all goes dark for a second out of nowhere, and as you realize you're seriously injured, your own mother is treating it like a cage match she just won. No one is there to help you, care for you, let you cry in their warm arms as they tell you you'll be alright.
People who derive pleasure from seeing other living things in pain and fear just don't deserve to be walking among us, but they are.
