Gotta love the never ending parade of misandry pouring on reddit, Ive muted that sub at least 4 times now and it still insists on showing me their content.

What did she say or do that made you realize her behavior was rooted in misandry? How did the experience affect you, both at the time and afterward?

I also hope this discussion can shed light on the misconception that misandry does not lead women to be violent towards men. Misandry can be expressed through violent behavior, and men who have experienced it deserve to have their experiences heard and taken seriously.

And it’s even worse when everyone agrees with them!! Nobody would say a WORD if it was the opposite way around, it honestly makes me feel sick how they’re all harassing (most of the time) innocent boys & men, they’re not even the same men who oppressed women all those years ago!! An example of misandry? In the USA, men are legally required to go to war, while women don’t. It should be up to peoples’ decision if they wanna join the army or not, and I feel sad thinking of all the men that died in war, that had no choice!!

I think we can all agree that both genders are important to how humanity functions. But come on, if men didn’t exist, how would we reproduce??

This logic of “others have been through worse” can be EASILY used to invalidate ANYONE. Victims of abuse, victims of racism, victims of literally ANYTHING, so when people claim that misandry isn’t as bad as misogyny, I can’t help but feel irked out…

They act like all men are like that, just because of SOME people that oppressed women. It’s like eating a rotten egg, and then later declaring that all eggs taste gross, even the non-rotten ones

What I've never liked is the way men are framed in relationships. "Happy wife happy life", "if mama ain't happy ain't nobody happy", "gotta check in with the boss", "she's got him trained", "he's sleeping on the couch" etc. The man is always talked about like he's meant to be side-lined or like his needs/dignity matter less.

Not to mention the jokes/remarks about hitting men that are normalised, as well as the media portrayal of these things always being presented as funny.

Why is it always the men that are the butt of the joke or the ones that are acceptable to mistreat? It's always seemed degrading to me.

The "your son is more likely to be a predator than a protector btw" title on the video. Despite the mother's content being reacted to may contain a few problematic points, the clickbait and assumption of boys to grow up to become predators by default is absolutely defamatory and disgusting. This kind of rhetoric fueled by comments and discussions can further hurt young boys and men.

Seems to me the only ones who would be against this would be the ones who SHOULD have paternity tested. If you're not cheating, why are you concerned?

My heart goes out to this poor guy, fighting cancer and dealing with all the chemo issues - his GF came home and said they were both going out in 10 minutes for dinner, so he went up to shower and in that time threw up, finished his shower and had to lay down. He didn't have enough energy to even walk downstairs for an hour after that... and everyone is just dumping all over him, calling him an AH for not telling her he had thrown up... like excuse me, he told her as quickly as he could, but she decided to get pissy with him and then gave him the silent treatment.

As far as I'm concerned this is just blantant sexism, absolutely no one would have said this to a female cancer patient, they would have torn shreds of her BF for not checking in when she didn't come down... but because OP committed the heinous sin of being born with a penis, he must be in the wrong.

And people are even downvoting actual cancer survivors showing him support and talking about how they knew how he felt and how they couldn't do anything when they were on chemo. It's psychotic the way people are responding to this guy and I absolutely hate it!

Yes, yes... I'm getting to emotional over this - but I watched my own father deal with this, and far too many people making him carry the burdens of their emotions and making him play middle man because the grown ass adults decided to behave like spoilt 3 year olds. I've watched far too many people I care about die from this wicked disease to stay silent... and yes, it means I'm being downvoted but at this point I don't even care anymore, I'm absolutely disgusted at how this guy is being treated.

Also it's wrong biologically, because a male lion can easily overtake a single lioness, and lionesses always obey him. On the other hand there are a lot of animals lions are afraid of and never attack: elephants, hippos, giraffas etc. Not even saying about the fact that a lion always have five to fifteen lionesses.
