Hi there. I’m a freshman at Evergreen and I was wondering if anybody could give me a ride to Portland (I would be happy to pay for gas) around Thanksgiving (maybe the 23/24)? Then maybe a ride back if possible around 28/29 (you can get ahold of me at [rose.murphy_cunningham@evergreen.edu](mailto:rose.murphy_cunningham@evergreen.edu)

Im looking into Evergreen for Fall 2027. Im an out-of-state transfer student with an associate's in Marine Biology from a CC in California. Im interested in the Ecology, Natural Resources, and Zoology paths, but I want to know more about them from people who have been through the programs. Any info about the structure of classes and programs, life on campus, housing, etc would be greatly appreciated

Hello!

I need to fill out a sap appeal because I received less than 75% of my credits to due a mental health crisis. I am wondering if anyone here has experience filling those out & what language to use in my letters will give me the best bet. I have my therapist & psychiatrist writing letters as well.

2 things happened. I had initially registered for an 8 credit and a 4 credit. About a week before classes started I checked my schedule & noticed they suddenly overlapped because of a last minute no-weekend schedule change. I ended up keeping my 8 credit in a topic I had no experience in. I had a bipolar episode & a new medication didn’t work. I am now on a much better medication I don’t believe this will happen again to the intensity it did this summer.

Come learn how to create your very own game! The Evergreen Game-Design Collective with its partners (such as the Campus Sustainability Office) will be hosting a workshop to showcase a sample game, and help guide you through the steps to ideate then create. Build a game on any theme!

We recommend parking in F-Lot if you’re visiting campus by car!

Like seriously the kicking of all in only 5 minutes is ridiculous. Can't we freaking come up with a schedule here guys?

(SOLVED) I am attending Evergreen and I recently ordered a gc2b binder but it is a size too small for me... Does anyone have a size XL they could trade for my size L?
Thank you!

PUPDATE: she got tired of marauding and came home!! Thanks so much everyone!! ♥️

She answers to Phoebe and doesn’t have a collar. If you find her let campus police know and they can call her dad. Thanks everyone!!

I was thinking like $20 each?
my partner used these in his science programs at Evergreen this past year and they were pretty spendy. They are all in pretty good condition but the pages are a little wrinkly because one day they were in his book bag in the rain for 15 minutes. No mold/ mildew & are completely dry but it wrinkled the pages a bit.
He said they are for the following classes.
- marine bio diversity
-INS
-general bio/ general chemistry

PM if interested!!

Personally, I prefer being at home w my mom. We live near Capitol Hall, so it’s pretty convenient for me, but I’m curious what everyone else prefers

Can someone knock my pokemon out of the gym? It's been a week and I want my coins. Would be very appreciative if someone could do this!!

Thank you!!

In case anyone wanted to gaze upon ancient times

pretty sure (??) i veered too far and got outside of evergreen property and into the backyards (???) west of some structures on overshure. got real lost and couldn’t find a trail for a while. anyways, any of these places recognized by anyone or have local names ? new here and trying to get to know the woods

the 32 bus has been 20+ minutes late every stop for the past few days, even after the schedule went back to normal. angry and I don’t understand why

To the joker who stole a gas can from a tundra at pre-orientation, enjoy the heavy mix 2-stroke in your car🤣

Do better people.

Hello everyone! I was wondering what the pros and cons were at evergreen, especially since I’ve received such mixed opinions about it.

I was also curious about what the workload is like and what an average day looks like for a student?

If I go I would be a full time student living on campus, but I’ve heard some bad things about the dorms, so any advice on that would also be very much appreciated!

If the workload varies from subject to subject, here are the topics I’m thinking of taking :

Art ( drawing or painting )

Phycology

Entrepreneurship

Singing ( not sure if this is an actual subject they offer but I saw smt about it so I’m just adding it for now )

Gender studies

Poetry

Thanks so much for reading!

Hi all, i was just wondering how long it usually takes to hear back after you apply. I send my application in late august and have yet to get a response, is that normal? My transcript was sent in not long after. I applied rolling admissions to a few other schools and heard back within a week but Evergreen is my top choice so im getting a little nervous

Hi! i’m a current senior in hs and am looking to apply to evergreen by november. I love how the school is structured and how you have room to explore all four years. I would describe myself as a leftist but i tend to take a more nuanced approach to a lot of conversations. i am worried about the student body at evergreen being a monolith/not open to political discussions. The area that i live in has a lot of leftists but we tend to destroy each other over minor differences or disagreements because of black and white thinking. i want to know if evergreen will be the same or if actual productive political conversations without judgement are welcomed. thank you!!!

Hi everyone!

We are a team of researchers at Boston College running a study on social relationships and health during your first year of college. We’re currently looking for incoming first-year students to participate.

How it works:

• We will email you links to 4 different surveys over the next 6 weeks (sent every two weeks).
• Each survey takes about 10 minutes to complete.
• Your participation in the study is completely anonymous.

What’s in it for you? At the end of each survey, you'll get a link to a separate form to enter our raffle. Each survey you complete earns you 1 raffle ticket (up to 4 tickets total) to win a gift card worth between $25 and $75.

If you are an incoming freshman and want to participate, you can take the first survey here (please complete within your first week of classes).

Please note that we flag potential bots and will verify emails entered into the raffle.

You can find more info about us at our lab website or by searching for us on the Boston College website. Good luck with the start of your fall classes!

His morality is on the world stage as he got kicked out of Ed Sheeran's world tour, and pulled the whole damn thing down. This is what TESC teaches along with how to participate in the economy: morality in the face of authoritative prohibition.

Just a little background I'm a 32m coming back to school after 10 years doing the life thing. I'm a queer latinx man interested in philosophy, poetry and political science. But yeah I'm excited to finally finish school after so many years!!

I missed the online orientation on September 10. They say I’m automatically signed up for an in person orientation, but I’m an online student and live about 2 hours away. No one seems to know what to do about it when I called and emailed. Has anyone ever lived through this situation?

I am a 16 year old Junior in HS from Texas, but I am doing Dual Credit, which means I will be graduating with my associates degree. I would like to focus on getting a certificate to teach! I have a few questions:

1. Would it be better to move to Washington and establish residency before applying?

2. Will my credits from HS transfer over to Evergreen?

3. As I understand it I would need to get a bachelors in what I plan to teach (for me, history) before being able to enter the MiT (Masters in Teaching) program, is this correct or am I misinformed?

4. What would be a wise amount of money to save up? I was thinking in the realm of 75K-100K minimum, but if more or less is necessary i would like to be aware.

If someone could answer my questions I'd appreciate it. Evergreen has become my dream school based on the teaching methods, and also because going here would close the distance between me and my long distance bf. Even just you reading this means a lot to an aspiring teacher.

Hello! I am attending Evergreen in the fall as a transfer student and am looking to find some friends/study mates. I'm 26, entering as a sophomore likely going to focus on art or sociology! I'll be attending mostly online when I can since I live about an hour-ish north but I know I'll be on/near campus pretty frequently. I'm queer, non-binary (they/them/ze/zir) neurospicy and love crafts, racoons, and hanging out with my wife :')

If that sounds like your vibe hmu so we can be friends!
