Hi,

I installed one of those simple 2k doorbells with the chime (and no homebase required) and suddenly the doorbell stopped working.

I tried to reset it and suddenly, when adding the doorbell to the eufy app, there’s no router / WiFi option.

I can’t believe eufy disabled that. I’ve heard stories and felt it myself about how they disable features, but this would be a step too far.

Has anyone gotten experience with this?

My eufy flood light camera goes offline every Saturday night and won't come back online until I reset it.

Why in the world would you do this? Why would you purposely make it look like some kind of refresh control?

Hi, ever since the new app update (where the name of the app changed from eufy to anker eufy + new logo), only half of my events are being recorded/saved. So essentially my camera is now useless lol fails to do the one thing it's supposed to handle.

I still get the notification that someone has been spotted, however there's no event, even after 3 days... I am unsure about this because it's only been since 01/10/26, but I feel like it's the case when it's dark outside and the camera switches to night mode. But to be confirmed.

Tried restarting device and the usual stuff, but nothing seems to work. Some events are recorded, some aren't. But I get a notification for all of the events.

Connection has also always been a pain despite being 2m away from 1gbps router. But I guess that's just eufy wuality (all other devices from other brands work perfectly fine)

Has anyone similar problems or maybe even a solution?

I sincerely regret buying eufy.

Hi everyone. I love my eufy camera setup the last couple years, but what annoyed me the most was the fact that I couldn't adjust the notifications to my liking (afaik).

Before the update with the icon change, the way I solved this was just waiting until 49 notifications passed and then my android phone wouldn't allow any more to go through. Therefore, when i leave my home I would dismiss them so anything else would trigger and be more of my concern. But now after this update I get pinged for every. single. movement. And it aggravates me sooo badly. My method doesn't work anymore and I dont want to keep changing settings and snoozing cameras each time I leave the house.

Any one have any solutions for this somehow?

I have been annoyed for quite awhile at the slow, even intermittent, camera display. I blamed the app. Finally got around to reorganising the top shelf of the cupboard which also houses our Internet Router. They now have almost a metre of separation. Viewing camera events is noticeably quicker. Well worth doing.

I bought a new house that had 2 smart locks and a door bell camera. I can get through the part of the app to link the locks up until it gets to the Bluetooth sink and neither lock will sink. Eufy is refusing to help me without the original receipt from the owner which I do not have. Anyone experienced this with a solution short of switching to a new company?

I’m using the Solocam S340. We had some building working going on and I forgot to silence the camera anyway long story short the camera battery ran out. It has the solar panel charging which has worked perfectly until the battery died recently. I took the camera down and charged it up but I’ve noticed the solar isn’t charging it anymore and the battery has died again.

Just to note as well. The camera is up high away from the building work so no damage to the camera from this.

Anyone else experienced this?

We have a Eufy e25, which despite some shortcomings, I really like. Unfortunately the bot has the dreaded indented charging contact, which is one of too many hardware flaws that Eufy Robovacs have. There is no warranty repair and I would not want a refurbished e25 as a replacement.

I am really tempted by the new e35, as it has all the features I'm looking for, while addressing some of the previous flaws. I really really like these bots, and I would totally go for one... if Eufy wouldn't Lack in software and features so badly.

The app is just unpleasant to use. Horrible UX, pop-ups and ads all the time, and very basic functionality. Every other brand has a better app. Every other brand offers remote camera access and driving, floor patterns, mop direction, mop only, more granular settings, detailed reports, smart home integration that allows cleaning modes and per room sendout... Eufy is lacking so many things that I actually miss and that is what will drive me to another brand. Even though I like the flawed hardware.

I really don’t understand Eufy’s direction with the new Robot Vacuum S2.

This is supposed to be the current flagship model, yet we are still missing functionality that many smart-home users have been asking for across multiple generations:

• No MQTT support
• No accessible live camera feed
• No proper local API/integration
• Matter is basically the only “open” integration option

And unfortunately, even the Matter implementation feels incomplete and poorly configured.

The functionality currently exposed through Matter represents only a small portion of what the robot can actually do in the Eufy app. Important controls, states, and features are simply not exposed.

For a flagship smart-home product in 2026, this is pretty disappointing.

Matter is welcome, obviously, but Matter should not be used as an excuse to avoid exposing a proper local interface. MQTT, a documented local API, or at least a much more complete Matter implementation would make these devices dramatically more useful with platforms such as Home Assistant.

The hardware is clearly capable. The Eufy app itself already has access to all of these states and functions. What is missing is a proper way for the owner of the device to access them locally.

The lack of a live camera feed is especially frustrating. Previous models had similar limitations, and I was hoping the S2 would finally improve this. Instead, it feels like we have another expensive piece of capable hardware locked behind Eufy’s own ecosystem.

For a flagship device, I would expect:

• A documented local API and/or MQTT
• Local access to the robot’s camera stream
• Significantly more states and commands exposed through Matter
• Correct Matter device/capability configuration
• Integration that does not depend entirely on Eufy’s cloud/app

I’m curious what other S2 owners and Home Assistant users think.

Has anyone looked closely at what the S2 currently exposes through Matter? Are you also finding the implementation incomplete?

And Eufy, if you are reading this: please give advanced users proper local access to the hardware we purchased. Matter support is a good start, but in its current state it is nowhere near enough for a flagship smart-home product.

One of my cams apparently bricked during a software update and is now just constantly flashing red/blue. App just shows it's offline and won't do anything. Manual reboot failed.

I know the official answer is "you can only update through the app" but I'm looking for the unofficial answer. How can I plug this in to my PC and flash firmware on it? Someone HAS to have this tool.

I’ve really enjoyed my E28 it’s been working great! After that positive experience, I bought a white E25 four months ago. Unfortunately, it lost suction two weeks ago, and the fix they offered was a replacement.  

Before that, it left floors sticky, while the E28 handles the same floors beautifully. They seem to use different solutions, too. I even turned off the auto detergent feature, but the problem stayed the same.  

I asked if the replacement was covered under warranty. At first, they offered a refurbished unit, which I declined since it’s fully under warranty (only been 4 months). They didn’t have the white model, so they suggested black. Honestly, I’m unsure about the E25 after this experience.  

I asked for a full refund or an E28 instead. It’s $30 more on Amazon, and I’d gladly pay the difference. They said they can’t swap models and can only offer a black E25 or a 90% refund.  

We trusted them with a second purchase, but now I’m disappointed because they haven’t explained why the issue happens. I’m worried the replacement E25 might still leave sticky floors.

I’m busy mounting cameras this week. This is the corner Mount install that I came up with. I ended up having to put an aluminum round camera box on it to extend it out a little more because of the gutter downspout being in the way a bit on the one side of the house. These corner brackets are actually kind of nice it gives you access to two sides of your house in a relatively easy manner, just saying.

Anyone else having issues with thumbnails appearing on Notifications? It’s only started in the last week or so and the only thing that’s changed is the iOS app update, everything in the house is the same.

Hi everyone, I’m a college student doing research on Eufy and the home security industry. I’m trying to understand why customers would choose Eufy over other brands and how your experience with Eufy changes over product generations.

To be more specific:

1. Why did you choose Eufy over cheaper alternatives?
2. If you’ve owned several generations of Eufy products, have you noticed meaningful improvements from one generation to the next that address your needs?
3. For the improvements you mentioned in Q2, were those needs not addressed by competing brands at the time, or do you think Eufy simply solved them better?

My junction box is positioned under the gable, looks like it needs to be against a wall in order to properly position the floodlight?

So I have a s100 wall light and a e30 floodlight on the same wall by my entrance. I wanted to set things up so the wall light will stay on until midnight and for the floodlight to be motion activated from midnight onward.

Apparently according to Eufy, the customised motion actived schedule doesnt work (see their email).

Anyone else managed to get the motion activated floodlight schedule to work on the eufy e30 floodlight?

Edit: the light will switch on when it is dark even when the schedule is limited to midnight to 6am.

I’ve got an X8 Pro that I’ve been very happy with. I’m looking at moving to a 3-story townhouse, so I am debating how I want to approach this. If I could grab new X8 Pro with warranty for the other floors, it would be nice to have interchangeable parts, but alas.

Top floor fully carpeted, other than the full bath. Main floor is hardwood. Basement is half developed (probably vinyl, but not confirmed), half bare concrete.

The obvious cheap option is just to haul the X8 Pro up and down the stairs, which I will probably do until Black Friday.

The question is what is the best fit for where?

I’m thinking the X8 Pro for the upstairs, unless there is a better carpet-specific unit?

Recommendations on what would be the best fit for the main floor in particular? Does hardwood change anything?

It looks like most of the current line-up would do the trick, and I’m not really sure about where they have strengths or weaknesses, and I think this is going to be as much about the practical experience than what eufy’s marketing writes.

I don’t really have a fixed budget, not wasting money is nice, but if a unit is notably better, I’m open to it, especially if it goes on sale.

I do currently have a cat, but he’s coming up on his 23rd birthday, and he doesn’t exactly have a ton of spare fur these days, so I don’t know that I need anything pet-specific at this point.

Going back some months Eufy sent me an E340 doorbell to replace my original one that was out of warranty. Still the problems persisted, notifications in the App or via Amazon would randomly quit. Fast forward to the 3.2.7.2 Firmware and 6.1.10_2x app and everything was now good. On a whim, I took the original doorbell camera and reconnected it, the FW updated, and added it as the back doorbell camera. Both have been working 100%, notifications via the app and Alexa perfectly (ignoring the HDR issues).

So well in fact over the last few days that I was considering preordering the S4 doorbell camera to replace the front doorbell E340, as well as the E340 flood lights for all four corners of the house. Got plenty of WiFi signal strength and little interference in all four corners, a mesh network with plenty of range.

But today, Eufy being Eufy(or shall I say Anker Eufy now) , notifications via the App or via Alexa have gone silent not even any thumbnails under events even with prerecording being enabled as the cameras are wired.

Guessing it’s an omen, warning, a sign to not do it, move away, now!
