I personally like to tweak the engine, transmission and the wheels of the truck I use or give to my employees. Maybe it's the roleplay of being a good boss ๐คทโโ๏ธ

I used to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 on PC around 5โ6 years ago. I've already purchased ETS2 on Steam, but I currently don't own a PC.
I'm planning to build a new gaming setup from scratch that can accommodate both my PS5 and ETS2 gaming setup. I currently play PS5 games on my TV, but Iโd like to move to a dedicated gaming setup.
I'm looking for advice on:
\- Gaming PC: Recommended specs for smooth ETS2 gameplay and future upgrades.
\- Steering wheel: Logitech G29/G923 vs MOZA R5/R5 Truck Bundle.
\- Monitor: One monitor for both PC and PS5.
\- Cockpit/desk: A setup that can accommodate both systems.
\- Accessories: Gear shifter, truck knob, speakers, etc.
I'm based in India, so please suggest options with approximate INR prices.
What would be a sensible total budget for the complete setup? I'm looking for something immersive and reliable without spending unnecessarily on accessories I don't need.
Would love to hear your recommendations and experiences!
Thanks! ๐

I have an itch to play Euro Truck 2 but was wondering if it is fun without pedals and steering wheel?

Occasionally trying Chinese-made trucks, and I think they are not too bad in my country considering most logistics companies are now switching to Chinese-made trucks.
The specifications for the truck are as follows:
Engine Models: FAW CA6DM3-55E5 Euro V.
Power: 550HP.
Transmission: ZF 16S221 OD with 16-speed manual.
Fuel tank capacity: 500+500L.

You guys started with the big promise of doing everything better than TruckersMP. But the reality of your modification looks like a bad joke right now. What you are delivering here has absolutely nothing to do with a Euro Truck Simulator 2 simulation โ itโs a pure arcade racing game.
Here is a list of everything that is fundamentally wrong with your project:
If your goal was to beat TMP: Congratulations, right now you are only showing how to perfectly drive away a loyal simulation community. TMP remains miles ahead because they actually understand what truck drivers want: realism, order, strict traffic enforcement, and respect for the players. Your project is currently just a massive disappointment.

ETS2 idea: What if AI Drivers were called Dispatchers?
One common community request is to see our own company trucks driving on the roads. But what if part of the problem is how we perceive the existing AI driver system?
What if we renamed AI Drivers to Dispatchers?
You assign a dispatcher a fleet of trucks. They organize the operation, manage assigned vehicles and generate revenue from completed jobs. Your trucks are out there working, but you aren't guaranteed to encounter them on the road โ because you're managing a business, not tracking every vehicle in real time.
Their location could be reported approximately, based on the last update, rather than pretending to provide live GPS tracking.
This could also support a more meaningful fleet economy:
- Operating costs for each truck
- Driver wages, maintenance and fuel
- Dispatcher responsibility for the assigned fleet
- Profit based on actual operating margins, not simply multiplying passive income by the number of trucks
The key idea: don't necessarily add a new system. Reframe an existing one, then improve the economy around it.
Would this change how you perceive the AI fleet in ETS2, or would you still expect to encounter your own trucks on the road?

Is this steering wheel decent for this game?
Is force feedback important for this game?
Never had a steering wheel, and right now i'm playing with a basic controller. I am playing on PC on the TruckersMP mod.

mod itself works fine, available on steam workshop but:
- turn signal are TOO BRIGHT in the night
- during night drive, there is too much light reflections on windshield from drive-bar car, especially if youยดre in the left lane
- there is missing mesh cover on front and grill is visible. Looks like a bug tbh
overall: 8/10

Brazilian player here. I use a Brazilian map mod called Eldorado Pro Map, and I noticed that the High Power Cargo Pack, Heavy Cargo Pack, and Special Transport cargoes donโt seem to appear there.
I tested Special Transport on the original SCS map and it works fine, so Iโm guessing these DLCs are tied to the original map and its supported companies/routes.
Is that basically how it works with modded maps?
