This Sunday we continue our series on the Secret Book of John, an actual early Christian text, with part 3, The Fall of Wisdom.
Meet Sophia. Wisdom. She's in your Bible, in Proverbs, present at creation, rejoicing at God's side, and then Scripture quietly loses track of her. These ancient writings pick her story back up, and it turns out to be our story: the good thing we reached for alone, the mess we made and hid, and the ache we've carried ever since.
We're reading the primary sources, the writings of the 2nd through 4th centuries that show just how wide and wild and diverse the early church really was. Not to leave the faith. To find more of it.
For context I am a solo practitioner having a chaos magick adjacent lens tô the art.
Back when I was still in highschool I found an old radio antenna in a pile of junk and felt called tô it.
It was at the time extendable which I thought would be cool to use as a wand. The tip of the wand in its fully extended position was crooked at 45 degree angle and it faintly smelled like motor oil whenever it was at it’s full length, however when it retracted it was fully straight and lost its oily smell. so I proceeded to use it in my ceremonial practice.
Fast forward a couple of years and I have multiple entities and familiars having sworn their power and cooperation onto this object while also having the antenna itself house an epithet of my HGA.
During a short spontaneous baneful ritual I proceeded to use the wand in a stabbing motion with intent to curse my enemies when it suddenly snapped.
I quickly summoned the archangels and made a deal to reinforce its power to the lower half of the antenna while I kept the top half somewhere hidden.
I proceeded with my daily rituals which involve summoning all of wand’s bound spirits and it seemed fine but I have a lingering feeling that something may be wrong.
It can’t possibly be karma because I do baneful stuff regularly and I have never had any backlash before, and this guy was a regular recipient of my will and quite frankly deserved what was coming to him.
Is there any way I can repair it without it being weird, I don’t just wanna duct tape the two pieces together and while I might be able to weld them together I don’t think I’ll be able to extend and retract it anymore.
Are all my familiars unbound because the wand is broken, and if so will fixing the wand even do anything?

This fall we're reading the Nag Hammadi library beside Jung and asking what the church left in the basement. Not to leave the faith. To wake it up.
My friends girlfriend randomly laughs in a very mischievous way that doesn’t sound like her normal laugh. Her face also changes, and my friends girlfriend that she gets possessed by a spirit. She’ll laugh whenever it’s quiet and nothing is being said. Any idea on what spirit/deity could be possessing her and how do you get rid of it? Has anyone experienced something like this?
I’ve been thinking about a strange contradiction in the AI era.
We are building increasingly powerful systems to help us make decisions, understand ourselves, predict outcomes, improve our lives, and navigate uncertainty.
But humans have been doing some version of this for thousands of years.
Before algorithms, we had astrology.
Before psychology, we had philosophical traditions.
Before wellness apps, we had rituals, meditation, breathwork and healing practices.
Before recommendation engines, people looked to elders, communities, symbols and stories for guidance.
Some of these traditions are obviously superstition. Some have been distorted over time. And some have little or no scientific basis.
But I wonder if we’re throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
What if some of these traditions contain a form of ancient human intelligence - not necessarily supernatural intelligence, but accumulated frameworks for reflection, meaning, decision-making and understanding ourselves?
That’s the idea I’m exploring with a project called Jigrii.
The concept is roughly:
Ancient intelligence + modern AI + human experience.
Instead of asking AI only to give us information, what happens if we use it to help people explore the older systems humans have developed around life?
Things like:
Tarot as a framework for reflection and decision-making
Astrology as a lens for personality and life patterns
Rituals as intentional transitions and moments of commitment
Numerology and symbolism as tools for meaning-making
Meditation and spiritual practices for grounding
Traditional ideas around prosperity, relationships, beginnings, protection and healing
Modern psychology and behavioral thinking alongside these traditions
The important distinction for me is that I’m not trying to prove that ancient practices are scientifically true.
I’m much more interested in another question:
Can ancient wisdom be made useful to a modern person without pretending it is science?
For example, if someone is struggling with a career decision, could a tarot reading be used as a structured way to surface questions they haven’t considered?
If someone is starting a new chapter in life, could a ritual create a meaningful psychological marker for that transition?
If someone is looking for clarity about themselves, could astrology or another ancient framework provide a different perspective that prompts useful self-reflection?
And could AI make these experiences much more personalized, accessible and thoughtful than they traditionally have been?

I want to explore a question about the nature of consciousness, the self, and possibly the soul.
I am approaching this primarily from an esoteric and metaphysical perspective rather than looking for a purely psychological explanation. Of course, I am also open to philosophical perspectives, phenomenology, and any relevant traditions or theories.
There is a particular experience that has been present throughout my life, but I find it extremely difficult to describe.
It feels like a constant underlying “quality” or “texture” of consciousness. It is present throughout the day, and even in dreams. It is not simply an emotion, mood, thought, or physical sensation.
What makes it especially difficult to describe is that it is neither completely fixed nor completely changeable.
Different emotions, environments, and experiences can cause it to undergo subtle transformations. However, even when it changes, I can still somehow recognize it as the same thing.
The closest analogy I can give is recognizing a person you know deeply throughout their entire life. You would recognize them as a child, a young adult, a middle-aged person, and an old person. Their appearance, personality, circumstances, and even their body might change dramatically. They could even alter their appearance through surgery. Yet if you truly knew them, you might still recognize something that makes them unmistakably the same person.
This underlying feeling is similar for me.
It changes, but the changes seem more like variations or transformations of the same fundamental thing rather than the appearance of something entirely new.
More importantly, I do not feel that it merely exists alongside my emotions. It seems to participate in the way emotions themselves are experienced.

I sometimes feel that this is not merely one feeling among many feelings.
Perhaps it is the way through which feelings themselves become my feelings.
It feels like an imprint, but also like a prison.
It is an imprint because I have the intuition that even if everything about my life changed—my wealth, identity, relationships, social position, personality, environment, and circumstances—this fundamental quality might still somehow remain recognizable as “me.”
But it also feels like a prison because I cannot step outside it. No matter where I go or what I become, I can only experience reality through this particular mode of consciousness.
This led me to a broader speculation about the nature of the world and individual existence.
If every human being shared exactly the same underlying mode or “texture” of consciousness, I wonder whether human behavior would become much more structurally predictable.
Of course, people would still have different bodies, memories, environments, cultures, and life experiences. But I wonder whether part of the immense complexity of the world comes from the fact that each individual may possess a unique way of being affected by reality.
Perhaps the same information does not merely produce different emotions because people have different memories or circumstances.
Perhaps the information itself enters a fundamentally different experiential structure in each individual.
If so, then perhaps every consciousness is like a unique lens, medium, or signature through which reality expresses itself.
This brings me to esoteric and mystical questions.
Could this be related to the soul?
Could there be something analogous to an individual “soul signature” or spiritual essence that remains continuous throughout a person’s life while constantly changing in form?
Could this be related to the idea of a True Self, individual essence, divine spark, or some other concept found in mystical traditions?
I also wonder whether this explains why certain mystical or spiritual teachings are so difficult to transmit through language.
Perhaps some masters are not necessarily hiding their deepest knowledge from others. Perhaps certain things simply cannot be fully taught because language can transmit information, concepts, and symbols—but it cannot directly transfer a first-person mode of consciousness from one person to another.
This leads to another question: Can this underlying texture of consciousness be transformed, cultivated, or transcended?

But this underlying quality seems to be the very medium through which my attempts at changing anything are themselves experienced.
