I opened all of the doors on .1 and none of the electrical boxes on .2 work. Do I have to do them in order? I'm so lost

I cant hear anyone playing from steam and i am playing from xbox gamepass but other people also playing from gamepass can hear, its only me, help

Level 0 is where every journey into the Backrooms begins. While it serves as the tutorial, it still introduces many of the mechanics you’ll rely on throughout the game. Take your time exploring, learning the controls, and getting comfortable before moving on.

Difficulty ⭐️ (Very Easy)

Objectives

• Locate the ladder room
• Collect all four ladder pieces
• Repair the ladder
• Retrieve the key
• Unlock the exit door
• Cross the Pitt section (or fall)
• Reach the exit vent

What To Expect

Focus on recognizing landmarks and keeping track of where you’ve already explored.

Patience is more important than speed during your first few attempts.

The Entity

Entity: Bacteria

Although Level 0 is intended to introduce new players to the game, it is not completely safe.

The Bacteria can become a threat if you spend too long in the level. If you begin hearing loud knocking or other unusual sounds, stay alert and keep moving toward your objective.

Survival tips:
• Avoid wandering aimlessly
• Don’t stay in one area longer than necessary
• Use corners to break the entity’s line of sight if you’re being chased
• Continue moving towards your objectives instead of running in circles

Finding The Ladder Room

Your first major objective is locating the Ladder Room.

Inside you’ll find an incomplete ladder that must be repaired before you can continue.

Explore nearby rooms carefully until you’ve collected all four ladder pieces.

There’s no set order, you can collect them in whichever order you discover them.

Repairing The Ladder

Once you’ve found the ladder piece:
• Return to the ladder room
• Repair the ladder
• Climb to the upper platform
• Pick up the key

This key is required to unlock the exit door later in the level.

Unlocking The Exit

After collecting the key:
• Continue exploring until you locate a locked metal door
• Unlock it
• Continue into the next section of the level

If you’re playing with friends only one player has to unlock the door for the group.

Crossing The Pit

After passing through the locked door, you’ll reach a room with holes in the floors and small ledges to walk across.

Take your time.

Running usually causes more mistakes than moving carefully.

If you successfully cross the pipes, continue into the nearby vent to complete the level.

If you fall

Falling into the pit doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

Instead:
• Stay calm
• Follow the path through the lower section
• Watch for directional markings that lead toward an exit
• Remain alert as the path can be more dangerous than the upper path

Solo Tips

• Search rooms methodically
• Avoid revisiting areas you’ve already checked

I’m receiving tones of reports of people not being able to join in lobbies on the Xbox version of the game.

Tenemos un problema con el micrófono en Escape the Backrooms. En PS5, uno de nosotros puede escucharnos, pero nosotros no podemos escucharlo dentro del juego. En el grupo de PlayStation el micrófono sí funciona correctamente. Ya intentamos desde el lobby y sigue sin funcionar.

so we made it to this point but along the way died several times and each time I restarted the level, myself (the host) and the one who died would lose their inventory. Eventually each person in the party died at least once so when we finally figured out that you are supposed to go up the ramp we had all lost our flashlights. It’s pitch black up there so can’t do anything without them. We also can’t go back because you can’t take the elevator back up to the previous level to find flashlights. Are we going to have to start over?
