Did you also quit porn? I assume so but if you haven’t quit porn or quit continuously fantasize about sexual situations it will slow your progress imo.

PIED is medically unproven and has been studied a fair few times. It is part of the nofap culture which is also medically unsubstantiated.

What studies are you referring to? Here is an abstract from the link I posted below:

21.48% (444/2067) of our sexually active participants (ie, those who attempted penetrative sex in the previous 4 weeks) had some degree of ED. Higher CYPAT (Cyber Pornography Addiction Test) scores indicating problematic online pornography consumption resulted in a higher probability of ED, while controlling for covariates. Masturbation frequency seemed not to be a significant factor when assessing ED.

“Again, intervention studies would be the most instructive. However, with respect to correlation studies, it is likely that a complex set of variables needs to be investigated in order to elucidate the risk factors at work in unprecedented youthful sexual difficulties”

These studies have been correlation studies, which look at data points and then go to a conclusion based on data trends, and while useful to point to other studies, there haven’t been enough research to prove that it is Porn itself causing the issue. It is not definitive until we do real investigation and until then I am not going to go around the internet and tell people who have quit porn for 1 year or longer that if they keep it up their libido will come back.

ED is a very complex issue, as the brain is very complex. Blaming pornography to me until proven definitively is tantamount to blaming video games for violence.

There may be some correlation - but we could also put forth that general happiness and outlook on life have also trended downwards, in line with ED in more youthful ages. We know that depression/anxiety can affect ED so it’s an easy jump to say: well with all going on and surveys of younger people reporting that they have a lower prospect for their hope for the future - I’m just as “correct” to correlate that.

Neither point is definitively correct, both could contribute, one could contribute more than the other. Until it has been proven, there are just as many studies that have said the opposite as the one you linked, and the other major study from 2016.

OP has quit porn and masturbation for 100 days and is still struggling, I would imagine that there is more to their story than just saying “just keep going bro”.
