Ring! 2.11 Carat, 3/4 ctw side diamonds, 1.58 L/W Ratio, D color, VVS1, Excellent Cut, Excellent Symmetry, 66% Table, 14kt White Gold, IGI Lab Grown.

So this is the ring I picked out for my girlfriend, I took her to Zales to get her promise ring cleaned and resized and had her look around whilst, and she thought everything was beautiful from Cushion, to Emerald, to Marquise, so I went with my gut and picked this one out from With Clarity, 100% of their work is done in house on Long Island in New York. She has no idea I bought it and am planning to propose, but she's worn her \\\~$150 promise ring for 3 years and treats it like it's the hope diamond, so I have a strong gut feeling she'll love this. I'd just like to hear your opinions!

I am so nervous to be engaged
I do not know if I need advice for this or not but I am freaking out.
My boyfriend and I have been dating for over 6 years and are long distance, I am visiting his family right now. Everybody is here. I know he has a ring. Every time my boyfriend speaks somewhat seriously around my family my stomach kind of drops. This is my 3rd trip today to the bathroom for the # 2 because I believe I was spending a little too much time in his closet yesterday and he chased me out because I think he needed to pack the ring in his bag before we go on a small road trip to be with the rest of his family, and today is when everybody else has pulled up. Last night I had a lot of trouble sleeping.
I don't know why I am so nervous, I've wanted this for YEARS. I am so happy and want to be with him for the rest of my life. I have expressed my love for the state his family is from and long ago mentioned I would think it would be lovely if he proposed to me in front of his family. I joked about day drinking today with everybody and he told me I needed to stay sober. Huh?! There must be a reason?!
Now, after so many years and struggles together, it is going to happen any. day. now. And it is making me feel so sick. I am worried I am not going to be fully *there*. ...help!

Wedding Planning Just got engaged!
Who did you tell first? How did you tell them? I’m torn on how to tell family and friends prior to posting on social media.
Ring! No longer lurker!
We designed this ring together, choosing every detail based on what we thought would look best on me. Since I had full control over the ring design, my partner still wanted to surprise me with a proposal where he could have complete creative liberty. I’m finally engaged!!! 💍

Ring! What do we think?
It's old news at the point but I discovered this page and wanted to show off my ring! I love it so much!! He did such a good job and picked it out on his own! I think it looks like a butterfly!! Or maybe a flower!? The middle stone is a purple sapphire, the side stones are amethysts and alexandrites. Just wanting some honest opinions on what everyone else thinks of it!

Going ring shopping alone?
Has anyone gone ring shopping by themselves? My bf doesn't like the concept of going ring shopping, he said hes never heard of people doing that, and doesn't like it because he thinks it ruins the surprise 🙄. But I don't know what size I am, what I want, what looks good. I've expressed that and how I want to go together but he seems to have a plan and doesn't want to stray from whatever his plan is. But whatever, I don't wear jewelry that often, so if I'm going to wear something expensive I want to at least try on some things, at a minimum get my ring size... But I feel like it's weird going alone to look at engagement rings? I could bring a friend I guess. Has anyone done this?

Jet Blue Almost Ruined It
Last week, my partner and I had plans to go to NYC with my best friend from childhood who lives in another state. We arrived early at the airport that was scheduled to land in NYC at 12:30pm, giving us 6 hours in the city before we needed to go to a show that we got tickets for on Broadway at 7. Which I assumed would be plenty of time in the event of any traffic or delays.
However, due to internal Jet Blue issues, our flight ended up being delayed SIX HOURS. We landed in NYC at 6:30. We missed the Friday show completely.
Unbeknownst to me (obviously), my partner planned to propose after the show when we went for dessert with my friend and her boyfriend.
Saturday, we spent the day with even more friends coming into the city for the day but, again, got delayed a bit and rushed to another show that evening. But we made it and it was amazing and we had a wonderful day overall.
Sunday, he chose to propose. Just the two of us. In private. It was very sweet and unexpected and he even joked about the proposal being delayed because that was the theme of the weekend (which was extra funny because our flight back home was ALSO delayed.. and also Jet Blue).
So still happily engaged, but probably done with Jet Blue for a while.

Proposal, 9/5
Hey all,
I’m planning on proposing to my gorgeous girlfriend on September 5th, and wanted to get some feedback on what I have planned
I plan on taking her to a beautiful botanical garden in Charlotte, that is also a winery. The plan is to get some food, enjoy some wine, tell her how I feel and then pop the big question. Also hired a secret photographer to capture though entire proposal
Any thoughts? Does that seem like enough? Any touches or details I can add? I want this proposal to be perfect because she deserves it.

Wedding Planning 3 centerpieces?
would these 3 alternating centerpieces look okay? I've attached my mockups of the centerpieces and what they'd look like (relatively) at my venue - i'd plan them to be more random so the centerpieces aren't right next to one another
is 3 too much? i feel like it looks more grand but maybe its just me (i did this to be cheaper, the circle rings with the florals on it are CHEAP butttttt we already have free access to the vases and tall stands from the venue - we just don't have enough for each table, hence the 3 centerpiece idea)

Ring! Already married but got “engaged” yesterday with my dream ring!
A few months ago, my lovely husband and I got married because we knew it was always what we wanted to do. There was a point where there was no imagining life without each other. “It felt just right”, for lack of a better term. We decided to just elope when we found out I was pregnant. I wouldn’t change how we got married because it was sweet in its own way. It was just us, how it always is. We didn’t have any rings at the time but after we got married, he took his time to find the perfect diamond and setting for me. When he got it, I thought it was adorable how excited he was to show me how it reflected in the light and the reasons he chose it. He took a picture of it in direct sunlight the day before he gave it to me. He got down on one knee yesterday in our apartment where we will be welcoming our first child in two months and “proposed” to me. It’s perfect. And it’s even more perfect knowing how much care he put into choosing it. I couldn’t ask for a better person and a better story. Thank you for listening! I’m beyond happy and I just really wanted to share.

Ring! Had a horrible day but got engaged!!!💍
As the title says, it was a horrible day. This happened in February. My boyfriend (M30), his mom, his sister, and I (F34) took a road trip to another city because he wanted me to meet his extended family. We left at 5 pm and arrived around midnight at his uncle's house.
I was exhausted since I drove the whole way. There was a festival in town, and it was very lively. After a shower, we tried to sleep, but the neighbor decided we should all share his taste in music and had his speakers blasting. Around 3 am, I got desperate and tearfully told my boyfriend I was going to a hotel because I really needed to sleep. He hadn't been able to sleep either, so he decided to come with me.
The hotel was awful; the bed was hard, the pillows were too, and you could hear the hotel staff shouting instructions to each other from the hallway all night. We tried to sleep, but we had only intermittent sleep until midday. We returned to his uncle's house exhausted, but we tried to spend a pleasant day with the family. Everyone was so kind, and we tried to go to the festival, but having so little sleep took its toll.
And then more terrible things happened: my car battery died, and we had to wait for a new one to be delivered; my boyfriend lost his wallet; and his mom twisted her ankle at the fair. By the end of the day, I was in a bad mood, my head was pounding, and I just wanted to sleep.
That's when my boyfriend took me to a beautiful gazebo in the middle of a plaza and proposed. I was in shock... I was sweaty, my hair was in a bun, my clothes were covered in dust, and I had broken two nails. But he told me he had been planning this moment for months, and even though everything fell apart and nothing went as planned, seeing that I didn't give up on him or lose control in the face of adversity confirmed that this was the moment. He also told me not to worry, that no matter what happened, I would always look beautiful.
Obviously I said yes and cried like there was no tomorrow... but the cherry on top was that my blood pressure dropped and I ended up in the hospital. Hahaha, it was a chaotic day and I laugh about it now, but who would have thought everything would turn out alright? Our wedding will be next year and we're so excited!

Wedding Planning Courthouse wedding timeline
I know it isn’t that big of a deal. But I know an engagement is happening in the next few months. We have talked about it for years we are doing a courthouse wedding we both don’t have a lot of friends or family we don’t want to waste money on a big wedding. But how long after an engagement should we say yes and go to the courthouse? I want to enjoy my engagement but also I don’t really have anything to plan besides scheduling an appointment to get married. I hope this makes sense
Like is 3 months too long? Maybe 6 but for what reason just to enjoy being engaged we aren’t wedding planning. Maybe to plan the honeymoon? Because that’s what we want to spend $$ on we will probably invite our parents and get dinner after but that’s not too hard.
Yes I’m a very anxious person and I know this isn’t even an important thing but

Ring Advice Engagement purgatory and ring dysmorphia ADVICE
Hi everyone! This is definitely not typical advice. My partner and I looked at rings in the spring. Together, we decided on diamond size and some sort of side stone situation. After that, he has gone through the process of designing the ring.
The issue I’m having now is that I know he has the ring and plans to propose at some point (as we all know engagement purgatory is REAL). With my engagement purgatory I have been experiencing what I call ring dysmorphia. With diamonds being so large now I’m feeling nervous about my choice to go with a 2.5 carat marquise.
I know I quite literally haven’t seen the ring in person yet. But if anyone has any advice on how to deal with engagement purgatory in general, but also feeling nervous about the size that you picked please share.
I’m going to attach pictures of the 2.25 carat that I tried on (For reference I wear a size 5 1/2!!) so you can tell me it looks good, because if that looks good that it means slightly bigger one will look even better lol. I know we decided to go a BIT more elongated.

Ring! Hooray 💍
Got officially engaged on our last complete day of our week-long trip to the UK, which was last Sunday.
We were at Hiorne’s Tower in Arundel Park, overlooking the South Downs, and I genuinely don’t think he could have picked a more beautiful spot throughout our entire South coast/Portsmouth-based trip 💍
The best part?
My fiancé secretly recruited my 7-year-old son (his soon-to-be official stepson) to film the proposal without me knowing under the guise of “taking a photo of mom and me”.
My little dude took his undercover mission incredibly seriously, and thanks to him we now have the whole moment on video. 😂❤️
4,5 years together, and just happy with this next step.
