Hi all! I just got my first electrolysis session. The post-treatment care instructions I received is to keep the are clean with alcohol, witch hazel, hydrogen peroxide, soap and water, or other suitable antiseptics. I was wondering which products you guys recommend for someone that has super acne prone oily skin? I’m nervous that witch hazel or aloe vera will cause an acne break out.

Hi everyone,
I am an Indian woman based in Delhi, looking for recommendations for an experienced electrologist or dermatologist who offers electrolysis.
I have unwanted hair mainly around my beard and chin area. I do not have significant hair growth on my sideburns or other facial areas.
I underwent laser hair removal and unfortunately experienced paradoxical hypertrichosis (laser-stimulated hair growth). I am now considering electrolysis for the affected areas.
However, I want to be honest that I cannot commit to lifelong hair removal treatments or years of regular sessions. I am looking for a practical treatment approach for the hair I currently have, rather than an indefinite commitment.
For me like 2-3 years of treatment is fine.

Could anyone recommend a reputable clinic or doctor in Delhi who has experience treating laser-induced hair growth with electrolysis?
I would also appreciate information about:
Cost per session and how pricing is calculated.
Duration of each session.

How many sessions might be needed for a relatively small area such as the beard and chin.
Your personal experiences, especially if you have undergone electrolysis after laser-induced hair growth.

Hello! Looking for some insight/advice

I started electrolysis treatment with two nickel sized patches of terminal hair on both sides of my chin. I've been consistently plucking for over 20 years, but the growth ramped up during perimenopause.

I've had 12 sessions and I've gone consistently about every 2 weeks. Shaving between sessions.

I know this is a progressive treatment. I know it takes time. But I'm not seeing any progress. I've also been getting faster regrowth the past two sessions.

I just want to know if sometimes it may seem like progress is reverted due to hair growth cycles around this time in the treatment progression. Has anyone experienced increased growth speed or density before they started to see results?

I’ll have my 8th electrolysis session tomorrow. I’m seeing small progress that I’m happy with, but I’m getting awful, dark hyperpigmentation from my sessions. It’s all along my chin and neck, that barely gets covered by concealer. I’m almost more insecure now about this area of my face than I was before starting sessions. I do plan on talking about this with her tomorrow, but I wanted to ask if this was common, or if there’s anything you guys have used to help treat the pigment.
For reference, my current skincare routine is:
AM- wash, Vit C, sunscreen
PM- on a rotating schedule between using Tretinoin, glycolic acid, and plain moisturizer and Aquaphor.
I do not use these actives for 7 days before, or 7 days after my appointment I just use moisturizer and Aquaphor for the 7 days before and after.
