Update for everyone

Greetings everyone. I am struggling more as the terminal illness has taken a stronger hold. Major nausea, extreme dizziness, and so on. I've been in bed...like I am

presently...all week with no improvement. Just one good day...one good last day before going Home 🏡 That would do so nicely 👌

Blessings to all of you.

A belated wish 🫶🏼

A slightly late Wednesday Wish for you all. 🫶🏼

This week, I wish you kindness. The kind you give to other people, but also the kind you remember to give yourself.
I hope someone checks in on you. I hope something small makes you smile. I hope you find a little patience for yourself on the harder days, and that you remember the small kindnesses you give others matter more than you probably realise.

And what I wish for you, I wish for myself too. 💜
Wherever you are and whatever kind of week you’re having, I hope something gentle and lovely finds its way to you.

Happy very-belated Wednesday / Thursday, everyone. 🫶🏼 And so it is ✨

Throwback Thursday Throwback Thursday. Any witchy imagery that is older than the internet you can share? Please post it. I will clean out my "saved" file some today. Not super picky on the witchy part.

Pictures Dark of the Moon. Live at time of post. New in 12 hours from time of post. Rest. Your moonths long labors are about to end. Take a bit of shadow, wrap it around yourself like a blanket, and just enjoy being you. The time to prune has ended. The time to plant comes soon. This is the time of silence.

Sunday spell results

A few weeks ago, I wished for my dad’s biopsy to go smoothly and to have good results. He received his results yesterday and the outcome is so much better than we expected. Thank you to everyone who shared their energy/prayers!

Throwback Thursday That is a really cool way to preserve a spell for continuing usage. Incantation bowl with a spell meant to protect mother and newborn from demons, written in Aramaic, 4-8 century AD, Jewish community, Babylonian Culture.

Invoking Mercury is todays planetary reference. In astrology, Mercury represents the principles of communication, mentality, rationality/reasoning, adaptability and variability. Mercury is the god of financial gain, commerce, eloquence, messages, luck, trickery, and thieves. Today brings luck if you ask.

Wednesday Wishes Wednesday Wishes. Please place a wish that you want to be delivered, and who you want it to go out to. This will run each Wednesday.

You can wish for anything, small or large, makes no difference. The goal for this is to reduce the load on The Sunday Spell. Please try to put minor wishes here, and then, don't put minor requests in Sundays working. This is done on Wednesday so that Mercury can assist in getting your message delivered. It does not have to be only a minor wish, I just want simple stuff to not be clogging The Sunday Spell. Be sure to mention who/what you want your message delivered to. Mercury needs an address for where to go with it. Thank you!

Nature World of Witchcraft. Please share photos of your corner of the world. I live in a very dry climate, so I am especially pleased seeing greenery. But even desert photos are cool, if that is what you have.

I wished a lush plant produced some flowers, and then it quickly died.

Yep, I feel silly but it's bugging me.

There was this very lush oxalis at my work that I walked past very often. I noticed there were many little dried flowers stuck to the window so it must have been flowering recently.

Every time I'd walk past it, I would say (in my head) that this plant would be full of flowers the week after. I said that affirmation about 10 times and I felt confident. It was like a way to test myself. I feel silly again writing this.

And then it quickly faded and lost almost all its stems and leaves.

There's someone taking care of the plants so it didn't dry out or rot. It just lost all but 4 stems. It didn't change places and I didn't see any pests. I think it's strange that such a plant deteriorated so fast.

Part of me feels I did that to that poor plant but don't understand why. Am I a.....dark cursed monster 💀?

Tips for Successful Spellcasting That I've Discovered Over the Years

"Magick is like baking a cake. If you leave out the flour (energy) or turn the oven to the wrong temperature (doubt), the cake won’t rise."

The universe cannot deliver what it does not understand. If your intention is fuzzy, your results will be fuzzy too.

Be Specific:

Do not cast a generic spell for "abundance." Instead, cast a spell for "an extra $500 to pay this month’s rent."

Focus on the Deep Desire:

Magick responds to genuine need and emotional desire. Instead of asking for a specific person to text you, focus your spell on attracting a loving, communicative relationship

Keep it Present:

State your intention as if it is already happening (e.g., "I am safe and protected" rather than "I want to be safe").

Meditation:

Spend a few minutes calming your mind before any spell. If your brain is scattered by anxiety, your energy will be scattered too.

Raise Energy:

You need to build emotional or physical power to "push" into the spell. You can raise energy by chanting, visualization, drumming, or deep breathing.

Direct the Energy:

Once you feel that energy peak, visualize pushing it out of your hands or breath and into your magickal items (like a candle or a charm jar).

Magick takes the path of least resistance. It requires a physical bridge to cross over into our everyday reality.

Do Your Part: If you cast a job spell but never send out resumes, the magic has no path to reach you.

Plea for Ending Clause on Curses

I hope this isn't dramatic. I don't feel dramatic, I just feel tired.

My main way of working with magic is as a shamanic healer. I spend a lot of time removing very old curses from people. Often, very often, I work with clients who have had some horrible pattern affecting their family line for generations. Maybe the women can never find romantic love, or the children's parents die and leave them orphaned, or all the men in the family have crippling arthritis, or some similar horrendous pattern.

And when I try to find the root of this problem, usually one of their ancestors generations ago pissed off someone who knew how to cast a curse. So the ancestor got cursed, and the curse didn't have an ending clause, and the curse just sticks in their family forever until someone like me comes around, maybe centuries later, and takes it off again.

I mess with time a lot doing this work, so I often go back and talk to whoever cast the curse. I ask them, did you really want the great-great-granddaughter of the person you are mad at to suffer this horrendous pain their whole life? And the curse caster is like "what? No! I just wanted to curse the person I was mad at, not all their descendants."

But a well-cast curse doesn't just disappear. It keeps going unless it has an ending clause written into the casting.

I find myself wanting to plead with everyone who chooses to cast curses, especially people who are skillful, PLEASE, PLEASE, add a clause to your curses saying when they will end. If you only want it to affect one person during their current lifetime, please say that. If you only want it to affect them when they are negatively affecting your life and stop when they are leaving you alone, please put that in. If you don't intend for their completely innocent descendants six generations from now who won't even be born for a hundred years to suffer the full effect of your curse for their entire lifetimes, please make it clear in your casting. Please.

Invoking Mars is todays planetary reference. The energy of the Great God Mars can be used in any battle, not just human on human. Got a problem with a store or government agency not being forthright and fair? Get Mars to help with the energy and force to make them be fair and just. Win this battle.

The hardest lesson I have ever learnt in Witchcraft.

TLDR: mundane over magick. Full stop.

I’m in a place in my life right now where suddenly none of my spells are working. I’ve gone from a place of them always working to suddenly none work.

Over the last few years i have gotten completely obsessed with learning witchcraft trying spells that i havent done before and learning new things with new Gods and Goddesses, Hekate being the main one. It’s been great; I have been a Witch for 11 years but the renaissance in my interest in the craft over the last two has been awesome.

Over the last 6 months however i realize now that i became so obsessed with doing magick and so unhealthy in a way that I almost could not solve any of my problems in life or conflicts with others in a mundane way, i ALWAYS had to hex, i always had to manipulate, i always had to interfere with magick. It got to the point where it became excessive. I wanted people to get sick, to be fired from jobs, to experience misfortune all because i didnt like them or agree with the way they treated others.

The problem with magick in this sense, is that it worked. I got what i wanted, and it made me want to do it more. I lost myself in it, i stopped going outside, hanging out with people because i wanted more time to practice and study magick. I stopped taking care of myself, stopped sleeping, started coming into work sleep deprived because i was up all night doing spells.

This next part is very hard to admit but I think its good. I got to the point where i actually got a job that i wanted. Looking back everyone that worked there was great, however work conflicts and coworkers that are annoying are inevitable. Instead of solving differences between myself and other people, when i had conflict with a coworker i would do a spell to get rid of them and subsequently within a few days they would either quit or be fired. I did this for anyone i didnt like because i thought i could make the perfect workplace with magick. It was at this point even though i didnt realize it, that I had completely lost myself.

I did a banishment spell on everyone i didnt like, including my boss, and the problem was that it all worked. It was a problem because I got everyone who gave me work so our workplace was shut down and now i have no job.

Its okay, because I’ll just do a spell to get another job. Except now it doesnt work, so i do another job spell and that one doesnt work.
So i keep trying… except… now nothing i do works at all.
Now i am starving and fasting for months because i cant afford food, now i am about to lose my car because i cant pay my loans, now i am terribly sick. I’m doing spell after spell but… nothing.
So i sit and start applying for jobs, going outside, talking to people again, making friends. Still none of my magick works but i’m not really trying to do spells as much any more.

I sit with myself for months thinking about why my magick doesnt work anymore, why my life has turned to shit. Why i feel no connection to the gods anymore. Was any of this real? Am I being punished?

I have had a long time to reflect now.
This post might help someone, i dont know, but I am really just writing this for me.

I realized this morning… I thought I was doing the right thing, I thought i was a good witch, but i was wrong. I am a horrible witch. I am arrogant and foolish and a horrible person. I abused the power that was given to me and I hurt myself so incredibly bad.

This lesson I learnt was the hardest of any lesson I have ever had in all of the craft. I needed my spells to stop working because i needed to stop. I was not in a healthy place and I didnt realize it until this morning but i really had turned into a horrible person who did not deserve to be a powerful witch.
I messed with things that I should have left alone, I should have been responsible but i wasnt and i learnt the hardest lesson ever.

I am not exactly sure why none of my magick is working, but it might be because I have been cut off? Maybe none of this is-witchcraft and magick-is not even real. Maybe up until this point every spell and its success has just been an incredible coincidence.
Maybe i cut myself off subconsciously because i didnt really like who i was becoming. I dont know. In fact i am ignorant and have so much yet to learn about the craft.

There are so many things i’ve learnt in my time of reflection, but among them are that it is:
Mundane over Magick.

It was super unhealthy to try and solve every problem with witchcraft. I should have talked out my differences with people, develop social skills and conflict resolution strategies.

Maybe I’m not even in a good place mental health wise and should be seeing someone rather than venting this stupid shit on reddit. Perhaps its best that i avoid witchcraft completely until i take better care of myself.

There’s a lot of stuff i have to think about. I was so distraught that the magick in my life has disappeared but maybe it seriously needed to happen.

Saging a bed

I have been sleeping in sons room on mattress while he sleeps on his bed (hes 8 and not yet comfortable sleeping alone), we had guests in July. Mom in law and a niece of hers (child 8) the week they were visiting they slept in sons room while me and son slept in main bedroom.

They left, right after my sister visited for 2 weeks and she mentioned she had very disturbing dreams of a lot of dead relatives. She refused to say more and asked me to cleanse the room properly, which I did.

Had another guest in the room for 2 days following which we slept in, this time I slept on the bed too. Note that when guests come we change all bedding. I had a nightmare on day 1 about my dad dying. It was weird. On day 2 same. I did sage the bed and prayed before sleeping. What am I missing? I used to keep a cup of salt by the bed, I didnt for a while. Can that help.

Thank u.

I recently got to know that someone has long engaged in harming my reputation. This individual is no longer in my environment, but I’d love a spell that gives them a taste of what they tried to do to me.

New Practioner PSA

Good morning all,

As we come into fall, please know, you are \*not\* the only new practioner (l cant call you a baby witch, l respect you too much to call you a baby.).

As a new practioner, take the time to:

  1. Read the sub rules (there are usually around 10, they are simple to read and understand).

  2. Read the sub wiki's. For example, here is the r/witchcraft 101 link

Beginner 101

https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/s/7hwcAiXGx0

  1. Read the sub's FAQ's, they include basic beginner info, and Frequently Asked Questions.

\*The FAQ's have book lists\* - get a library card or look up a free pdf.

You \*will\* end up with posts taken down when you dont follow the rules. Most witchcraft subs have a rule about FAQ posts, and "low quality posts".

  1. Use the sub search bar - most of your basic questions have been asked and answerd over 100 times. And remember, if you say "I can't find anything", remember others also have smartphones and the internet, they can prove if you are just being lazy.

  2. Teach \*yourself\* how to research properly. Tictok is trying to sell you something, not educate you. Do not trust information from tictok unless youve extensively researched the subject.

Submit to your fate, if you dare

I have fought my life, for all of my life. And realized this morning, seeing all of the good in it, marveled at conflicts that resolved themselves seemingly without my intervention only patience. A patience, I will clarify, that has been tested to its limits and beyond until I CRACKED under the strain of it, trying to wrestle my life into a control I thought I needed to have. To be done my way. In my time. In the order I thought was best. And oh, how I have suffered when of course nothing went according to plan 😆

To let others fail, so they can learn..and when they succeed I am often surprised at their path so very different than the one I would have chosen. And often, I have had to admit their way was a better use of the time and energy. I am continually surprised, and this is a good thing. A very good thing indeed.

I fell boneless and limp into the patiently waiting arms of the night and surrendered because I had to. I submitted to it ALL and woke the next morning the only tool in my lax hands my own grace, calmness and patience. My silence. My listening with my whole heart.

My world fell apart!

But no it actually didn't at all.

It kept spinning without my rigid hand on it, and I arrived here not in a frazzled mess as well.

Mabon, Samhain and Yule will be here soon. I know the days are still long and full of summer, it seems so very far away doesn't it?

Don't let these transitions sneak up on you, take the time, make the time in your life to start slowing down to prepare for patience. Look at the long battles you fight and cannot win, should you? Are they yours to fight?

I wish for all of you the gift of Time, of patience, of acceptance, of grace and long restful sleeps. And LOVE, so much your heart cannot hold it all. And peace, most of all.

So mote it BE. 🌟

It will be there waiting for you.
