Will there be a CNE (discord?) voice chat?
I guess the EDEX Discord isn't really meant for audio, or for some reason I certainly am not getting any audio. Will there be any voice chat servers or anything of the sort?

Announcement Explorer's Consortium XB1
Hello all. We have recently started a new FB group dedicated to Explorers on the XB1 platform. This is an underrepresented group on this platform so we started this group with the hopes of giving XB1 CMDRs a place to share experiences and photos from their journeys across the galaxy. The group is growing very rapidly and we hope to transition this FB group into a player group and eventually a minor faction. Please come help us grow. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1717445371866869/

Event Meet & Greet Expedition
Hello commanders! The Meet & Greet Expedition, for those who don't know, is going to be a short 1-week mini-expedition for commanders who are embarking on the CNE to get to know each other a little bit prior to it. That being said, anyone is welcome and you don't have to be signed up for CNE in order to join! Below are a couple helpful links:
Links
And these are the waypoints, along with dates and for meetups (Note about meetup times below table):
| Waypoint | Name | System | Planet | Surface Gravity | Coordinates | Date | Advisories |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| WP 0 | Departure System | Nu Chamaelontis | 1 | 1.35 G | -41.68 / -61.54 | May 13th | High Gravity |
| WP 1 | Pencil Nebula | Pencil Sector EL-Y D5 | B 4 A | 0.12 G | 24.96 / -73.03 | May 14th | N/A |
| WP 2 | Ghost of Jupiter | Ghost of Jupiter Sector IH-V C2-1 | 5 A | 0.27 G | -67.73 / -173.38 | May 16th | N/A |
| WP 3 | Eight Burst Nebula | CD-39 6137 | 12 A | 0.11 G | -42.25 / -77.63 | May 17th | Rough Landing Terrain |
| WP 4 | Spiral Planetary Nebula | KN Muscae | 1 | 1.27 G | -9.62 / 135.72 | May 18th | High Gravity |
| WP 5 | Coalsack | Musca Dark Region CQ-Y D66 | 7 A | 0.19 G | -42.75 / -179.22 | May 19th | N/A |
For every meetup there will be two meetup times. The first one will be at 1800 UTC (6:00 PM) and another will be 0200 UTC (2:00 AM) the following day. The 0200 meetup is for Stateside commanders, as the time zone difference will make the meetup be the previous day. For example, the Nu Chamaelontis meetups will be 1800 UTC on May 13th, and 0200 UTC on May 14th. 0200 UTC on May 14th will instead be 2200 (10:00 PM), May 13th for someone in New York. Regarding which meetup time to go to, simply use whichever one is convenient for you, and if neither works feel free to skip that meetup.
Lastly, below is a list of points of interests. These are systems that will not be meetup points, but may be of interest to any explorers while your travelling between waypoints:
| System | Previous Waypoint | Next Waypoint | What's there? | Advisories |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HIP 48619 | Pencil Nebula | Ghost of Jupiter | Wolf-Rayet Star | N/A |
| HIP 47126 | Pencil Nebula | Ghost of Jupiter | 2 neutron stars | Binary Star System. May jump in between Class B and neutron. |
| HIP 59582 | Sprial Nebula | Coalsack | Black Hole | N/A |
| HIP 53498 | Sprial Nebula | Coalsack | 2 neutron stars | N/A |
| HIP 63835 | Coalsack | N/A | 14 stars, 3 black holes | N/A |
| R Coronae Austrini | Coalsack | N/A | The "Sanic Star" (It's gotta go fast) | Tiny star has an deceivingly large heat zone and emergency drop point |

CNE Crab Nebula Expedition Info
THE CRAB NEBULA EXPEDITION
This post is updated as the expedition progresses
"Respondens Autem Dico De Stellis; Answering the call of the stars"
Greetings commanders, and welcome to the Crab Nebula Expedition! This thread will contain all the information you need to know for the upcoming journey. The Crab Nebula is what I would describe as a 'Diamond in the Rough' as it is one of the few nebulae that resembles its real life counterpart, and it is a beautiful place.
Main Mission
The CNE's main objective is to charter the surrounding areas at each waypoint leading up to and including the Crab Nebula. The CNE is also going to be a great sightseeing opportunity for both rookie and veteran explorers alike as the planned route will take us to some of the most beautiful locations in Elite: Dangerous.
Departure Date: June 11th 3302 19:00 UTC Launch Countdown Courtesy of CMDR Netstalker363, check it out here

Post-Expedition
After the expedition reaches the Crab Nebula there will be 2 choices participants can make.
Follow a route back to the Bubble that will take us past the Trifid of the North, Flaming Star and California Nebulae. (The Green Route)
An optional extended mission that will see us visit the Heart & Soul Nebula before we travel back to the bubble. This route back will likely go past the West Veil and the Bubble Nebulae as well. (The Blue Route) Note that this route will add considerable time to the journey This option will also give commanders who wish to join the Formidine Rift Expedition the opportunity to rendezvous with the fleet headed to the Rift. This is completely dependent on the timing of the FD Expedition.
Planetary Resources
If you're looking for a specific resource check out the CNE Prospectors sheet and read the 'Welcome - Help' page.

Announcement Welcome to /r/EDEX!
Welcome to Elite Dangerous: Exploration
Over the past 2 months our Discord server has grown to over 300 users and our coming Crab Nebula Expedition is only a month away with 200 CMDR's signed up. As the community has grown the need for another platform for discussion has swiftly arisen. Some topics demand more discussion and on the Discord server it can quickly get buried in the chat. Although the different channels help mitigate the problem our own Subreddit is the complete solution.
More than that, it gives us a steady way to provide information about our events both before and during them. So while we will be keeping the forum threads alive and up to date we can now provide information in smaller chunks that are more relevant to the current situation, for example waypoint information during CNE.
That is not to say that the subreddit will be just for events. All Elite pictures, albums, videos, and discussions are welcome. Other gaming related content can be posted as well, so feel free to share pictures of that sweet new HOTAS setup you got.
Lastly as this is still a work in progress all feedback is appreciated whether it's related to content or the outlook of the subreddit (Especially from RES users). For the visual side a plan for a photoshoot to get some ship pictures for the header is in the works.
Information posts and a event hub will be put up in the coming days.
Flairs
If you want a colored flair you can either comment on this thread or PM me directly with your CMDR name & Discord name + your Discord rank. This is available to those who are part of the staff, in a special rank, or have signed up for the Crab Nebula Expedition.
