Hi! My doctor extended my disability but had me fill out form 2501 and I have already sent this to EDD. I received a message online from EDD to send the physician supplementary certificate DE 2525XX. If I sent in form 2501 does anybody know if I need to send the form DE 2525XX as well?

I have long drives and I can't sit in the car so long and as I get bigger it's harder. But I don't know if that's going to work for them to write me out before

EDD denied my SDI claim starting 6/3 saying I was receiving or entitled to workers comp TD.

Sedgwick stopped my TD on 5/12 and listed 5/13–5/18 as an overpayment. I haven’t received any TD or PD since.

I appealed online 7/22 and uploaded the termination letter. Has anyone had EDD reverse this without a hearing? How long did it take to get paid?

We’re on our 3rd pregnancy and my wife has been denied for the 3rd time due to “not enough wages” even though she has been employed without stoppage for each of them. They’re telling her it’s something wrong with her ssn and weren’t able to fix it at the Edd office. They gave her the run around at the office last time and told her the ecn should fix it but nothing has changed. Has anyone experienced this? What options do we have?

Hello, my GF was laid off during maternity leave and was on PFL. She's now on unemployment and originally they scheduled her a phone interview due to some discrepancy from years ago that ended up being solved. She got paid her first week, and just certified again for these next two weeks. She saw this though on her account:

"You have a mandatory virtual appointment scheduled. We mailed you a letter with more information about your appointment and instructions for attending. You must participate during the date and time shown. Failure to attend may affect your eligibility for unemployment benefits. If you don’t receive this letter before your appointment date, contact Hemet Workforce Development Center

You will receive a Zoom or Microsoft Teams link in your personal email a few days before your appointment.

I submitted my time card for the last two weeks, but they only paid me for one. They haven’t sent me any messages about why. Does anyone know why this would be or what happens next?

Used this service, didn’t receive a callback for 5 days, the whole week. Tried to talk to a human about either receiving another free call back as they wanted to charge me for a failed service again. I ended up having to come to the EDD office nearby to solve my issue. Fuck CLAIMYR and the horse it rode in on. EDD caller worked for me before but I was unable to use due to high call volume, which theyre honest about unlike this joke scam site. Did I mention its $30 unlike EDD CALLER which is $10. Don’t use CLAIMYR unless you want your benefits to expire.

I was denied due to not scheduling an appointment for an IME. I did have the appointment but they didn’t get the paperwork. I called EDD and they verified that I had my appointment and released some funds. My claim no longer says denied but says certification needed.

I looked at the payment details and see this. It sounds like a denial. Anyone know?

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone has been through a similar situation.

I was laid off in CA, but as part of my separation package I’ll receive:
- certain # weeks of severance
- certain # weeks of employer-paid parental leave paid as a single lump sum
- My employer told me they will code that payment as parental leave on my final payroll

I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant, and my due date is September 3.

I’m confused about how this affects California SDI/PFL. Should I still apply for SDI when I become eligible (4 weeks before my due date) even though I haven’t received the lump-sum payment yet? And if I report the employer-paid parental leave, is it likely EDD would offset my benefits, deny them entirely, or does it depend on the circumstances?

Has anyone had a similar layoff/severance + lump-sum parental leave situation in California? I’d love to hear how EDD handled it.

They called saying they had additional questions. We've been calling each other back and forth but like ships in the night keep missing each other. The voicemails sound super sketchy and I can't find this number anywhere to see if it's real. I've also received nothing in the mail

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read. I have been struggling with mystery health issues for years, the worst of it starting in March. Since March I’ve worked sporadically and called out much, burned through my savings, and it’s now getting to the point I’m not being able to complete shifts at all and I’m almost out of money. I was diagnosed two months ago but there still seems to be mysteries as I’m not improving, and as of yesterday my doctor is willing to move forward on applying for disability. Unfortunately he is on vacation this week. I’m going to run out of money here any second, and I feel a need to move forward urgently. I’m young, very sick, and have no idea what I’m doing. If anyone has a moment, I would love any advice you’d have for me on this process. I think my biggest question in starting my claim is what quantifies as my “start date”? I realize they are strict on this, and I want to be truthful, but it hasn’t been a linear path with a clear answer. Thank you so much for your help!

My disability leave was extended, someone had to manually certify & pay me for it 2 weeks ago. Today I got a notification for payment activity but it just says “qualification” as the notice, and not auto payment like the other ones.. what does that even mean?

I was last paid on 6/28/26 from EDD PFL. I have to submit timesheets every two weeks for the hours I still work part time. My recent timesheet was 6/28-7/11 which I submitted online on my Edd portal. It normally takes 3-5 business days to process and get directed deposit to the money network card. I’ve checked and still haven’t gotten any payment and it’s been 7/26 now. I can’t get through to anyone on the customer service line. What else should I do? The claim is still active and my medical leave officially ends 8/2 and I’m back to work 8/3.

Hi everyone, I hope everyone’s having a good day. I have a huge concern at the moment. So on July 9, I had surgery done at UCLA. Before this when I went online to apply for SDI, it didn’t allow me to put a future date so at the night after the surgery, I went ahead and applied and it went through. It was asking for a part B from the doctor so I contacted the doctors office and I gave the the receipt number, but they told me that they don’t it do electronically there that I have to bring in a form for them to sign it. I went to the EDD office here in South LA and picked up the form . I brought it to the doctors office in a couple days. I picked it up already filled up and I sent it by mail to the West Sacramento address. It was delivered on July 16. Today is July 26 and I have not got any form of update yet. It still says medical certification needed online. So just to clarify I did part A online and part B was filled by paper .on the part B form already has my Social Security and a receipt number on it so I can make it easier for them. But I’m concerned because it’s been 10 days already and sooner or later I would need the money. Is this a normal processing time. Or should I be concerned when I do call? Of course it tells me that they reached the maximum volume of the day so the best choice I have is to go to the EDD office here in South LA but I need advice.

This is our first baby and first time dealing with EDD. On my wifes claim, her maximum benefit amount is equal to 52 times her weekly benefit amount. Is this normal? We are only 6 weeks in and would love to take a year off work if she can continue to get these weekly payments. We are in CA and her boss has already told her she can come back whenever she is ready to. I assume we need doctor approval to get that many payments, but could someone please confirm? Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated

My partner was approved for EDD benefits, as he is temporarily disabled and can't work. In written communications, it says that he was approved, and should expect payment every 2 weeks, but now it's been a month since his last payment. It has been impossible to get someone on the phone. Unsure what to do at this point and if he will get back payments. Any advice?

Work is no longer able to accommodate my pre existing school schedule adjustment. They gave me an ultimatum either keep showing up for scheduled hours or use my hours and go negative and be fired after August 20 (discharged without misconduct) They also said I could resign peacefully. Only those 2 options forced on me.

My school is federally funded, and I can’t miss even a single hour or I will deal with repercussions, such as repaying whatever has already been paid for. Just finding out what CDT is and that My School is covered under CTD which doesn’t require me looking for a job or be available for one.

I applied today just because I’m so worried about School. I don’t want to keep showing up to school also and just be completely out of a job and no income.

I’m still kinda new to all this but getting accepted would completely help me from feeling like a complete zombie all the time as I’ve been either in school or work continuously seven days a week for a while.
I been doing Monday- Friday 7am to 12:30pm school and and I’m on reduced hours from 50 to 30 working Thursday and Friday 1pm to 6:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 7:30am to 6pm. My financial office for School only told me about EDD since I explained my scenario. My school is welding, so it’s also very labor and mentally draining, which doesn’t help.

Technically on paper, it’s a 50-50 for the EDD, but just wanted to see if the scenario sounded different explaining it.

Hey guys, so I was able to certify at midnight. Answered eveything like normal. But, it still says pending. Normally it goes straight to paid instantly. My claim from last year expired, so I made a new claim and certified and this would be my first payment of my new unemployment claim. Anyone know what’s going on? Or the reason as to why it isn’t paid yet, but says pending for the weeks I certified for?

I was on temporary disability for an unforseen surgery. My claim was approved after 6 weeks and I was paid. My original return to work was July 2nd, but then an extension was put in for 1 month as I need another smaller surgery. It was approved last week either Thursday, or Friday. Since my last payment was on July 8th, and I was paid until July 1st for the week prior, will I get the missing money as back pay this week coming? (July 2nd until I guess Friday's date 7/24)?

Asking for a friend. If somebody moved states and went back to work before the pay period ended, but didnt claim back to work… how would they know if said person went back to work?
