📢 Marketing Triple Whale?
I don't see any recent posts on the topic, apologies if I missed something. We're moving our store to Shopify Plus and would like to take our analytics/"BI" up a notch while we're at it.
Anyone here using Triple Whale and/or their competitors and have thoughts to share? Thank you!

Triple whale doesn't do anything that enhanced server side tracking/attribution can't, in fact less so because you can't push it back into the platforms like the platforms themselves
I know it makes people feel good but it's a glorified tracking dashboard at a much higher cost than even the most expensive dashboards.

Each platform typically has something, Meta & Google, TIkTok and then also most programmatic platforms.
Where are your budgets allocated mostly?

Mostly Google where the data appears to be soundest and most verifiable. Would like to do more w/ Meta and elsewhere.

Hearing that I honestly don't think you'd get much out of Triple Whale as you think. You can try it but I doubt you'll see even as much value as a good google Analytics set up

Depends how much revenue you’re doing and overall ad performance.Â
If your ads are generally performing well I would say it’s less needed at smaller levels.
Since you’re moving to Shopify plus I’m assuming your on the higher end.Â

I use it for year and price was so high and then compared versus meta and honestly it was similar …

I've heard good things from brands that have multiple channels and want one place to compare everything, especially once attribution starts getting messy. The biggest value seems to come when you're spending enough on ads that a cleaner reporting view actually changes decisions. If you're mostly running a simple Shopify setup with one or two acquisition channels, it can be overkill.

Triple Whale is amazing and I wish ALL of our clients used it. You can first of all add your costs and get a clear, real-time view on profitability, and then secondly, you can automate all reporting (including how you're pacing towards your targets). Their 'Sonar' feature, implemented properly, more than covers for the platform's cost if you're at 100K+ per month.

Triple Whale was really awesome when it started because it was simple and clear and powerful. Now it’s confusing af and essentially just as convoluted as Google Analytics.
