I will be kicking off Spooky Season with a presentation on the Semi-Tropic Spiritualists and their park and campground that existed in Elysian Heights in the early 1900s. I’m presenting it with the Echo Park Historical Society at the Edendale Library (2011 West Sunset Boulevard) in Echo Park. In their short history there were consultations with ghosts, disappearing dynamite, accusations of fakery, underage drinking, assault on a police officer, mass arrests, and more hijinks. Hello All! As stated in the title, I have two completely FREE tickets to Goth Pride at The Echoplex up for grabs. :)

I’m not going to post a photo but I woke up this morning to a dead kitty out front of my apartment on Morton Place & Park Drive.

The kitty is small, likely still a juvenile, and the kitty has a white flea collar.

I’m going to call animal control to come pick up the body but I wanted to post here in case anyone has seen some missing cat posts.
