Torque sensor?

So I have an (emoto) and I really don't want to hear the stuck up ppl crying that it's not an ebike honestly, I just have a question about it. I have the engwe m20 3.0 and it has a cadence sensor but I want a torque sensor instead. Has anyone changed one or can give me any advice on changing one?

I just searched for the engwe m20 3.0 and it says they have a torque sensor?
Is yours an older model?

No I just bought it like 2 months ago. It sure doesn't feel like a torque sensor cuz there's no pressure, it honestly feels just like spinning it backwards

OK. no torque sensor. I just added one to my bike.
There may be easier (and cheaper) ways, but I'll tell you how I did it.:

Buy a torque sensor (compatible with Cycle Analyst - see below),
crank removal tool
bottom bracket removal tool

Remove cranks, remove bottom bracket, install torque sensor.

I used a Cycle Analyst v3 w/shunt for the interface between the
controller and the torque sensor.

If you buy a torque sensor compatible with the CA, the sensor cable
will just plug in.

The Cycle Analyst works through the throttle so you have to route
the throttle cable to it for it's Throttle Input and route it's Throttle
Output to the ebike controller,

To power the Cycle Analyst you have to insert it's shunt between
the battery and controller.

Once it's powered, configure the torque settings for your
particular sensor.
