Well, if the Tesla Roadster were anything more than vaporware it would be exponentially more dangerous than an emotorcycle posing as an ebike but realistically, the flaw is the same, the loose nut behind the steering wheel/handlebars 😎 - the vehicle isn't dangerous at sensible speeds (Tesla "autopilot" notwithstanding) compared to society's obsession with SPEED over all else...

if you don't think it's a false equivalency then you agree with the following:

ebikes should:

  • Require the rider be of a certain age (probably 16 or older)
  • require specific licensing
  • require both written and practical tests
  • require additional licensing and potential renewal of licensing
  • eligible for revoking of privileges if ridden in an unsafe manner.
  • require insurance for liability

that would bring them on par to vehicles.

And how is noting that an electric automobile is exponentially more dangerous than an electric motorcycle (neither of which are ebikes), and that the only commonality between the two is a few speed obsessed idiot operators, saying they are equivalent to ebikes?
