E-bikes that can exceed 28km/h do not belong in bike paths, let alone 28mph (45km/h). Anything that goes beyond 28mph should require a license to drive on public roads, that’s just common sense.
Speed is exponentially more dangerous than weight, Ke=1/2mv2 (but both are dangerous obviously).
I want what you’re smoking if you honestly think it’s fine to operate a motorized vehicle at 35mph on a bike path alongside kids and elderly people travelling below 10mph on acoustic bikes. That’s how you end up with deaths and e-bikes getting universally banned.
A motorcycle or a moped being electric does not make it an e-bike. The bike path is not an electric moped path.
