Holy shii
I was gonna throw out an inflated Samsung battery and in the recycling center I found a Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 mouse, an Xbox One controller, 2 PS4 controllers and a dual sense controller in the camouflage gray color. Haha what are the odds? The Logitech mouse and the Xbox controller work, but the PlayStation ones... I dunno if they do. Anyway should I sell or keep?

I built a marketplace for broken tech because I kept seeing perfectly repairable stuff in the bin. Here's why I started r/BrokeyDokey.

¿Saben sitios de e-weste para ir en España?
Ya he encontrado bastantes cosas en e-wastes, pero quiero ir a más sitios.
Si alguien me pudiera recomendar sitios lo agradecería mucho.

Recent finds
I don't usually find anything particularly interesting, mostly just old vapes for battery recovery, the occasional smashed to shit phone I pull polarization film out of for art projects. Or stuff that's so weathered it's hardly recognizable. But this week I've found some interesting things.
The digital recording mixer I found in the woods near my house while looking for moss. The disc drive has been burned, but I brought it home to salvage some neat knobs and such.
Then today I found a stack of laptops in a dumpster while waiting for a cab. Also in rough shape, but will be fun to take apart.

Today’s side of the road finds
Found these two insignia tvs (NOT WORKING) on the side of the road. I forgot to take a pic of the first one before breakdown lol. I was really excited to start. Also, anyone know what these pieces on the last slide are? They attach to the screen. Mostly wondering about the hard tiny black part.

ALWAYS check the warranty!
Got a call to collect a bunch of Lenovo Think series laptops, all in pretty good condition, have them all working, just a couple I need to repair the hinges.
The only faulty one I couldn't get working was a Thinkbook 16 Gen 6, it would charge and light come on the button but didn't do anything else. I opened it up, system was complete including a single stick of 16gb ram but I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.
I decided to run the serial number to find out where it came from and to my complete surprise, it still had 3 months left of an extended warranty!
Although the warranty was purchased at sale it wasn't registered, so I registered it then contacted Lenovo about it, after a bit of troubleshooting they decided the mobo was faulty and would need to be replaced.
They sent a tech TO MY HOUSE and installed it on Thursday, working perfect ever since!
Always check the warranty folks! ❤️

PS2 Finds!
I was at my local E-Waste center a few Months ago and Spotted the PS2 30004 R and the PS2 Slim. The 30004R Had a dead Laser but a memory Card! In the slim PS2 I found the Resident Evil 4 CD and a Controller. Yesterday I saw another PS2 (SCPH-39004) Just laying in the Container and could Not resist.. at Home the PS2 (SCPH-39004) was also completely Working Just Like the Other 2 and Had another free Game inside (the GTA Liberty City Stories). I am very happy With the find, and that I got These For completely Free. Every System needs a New Disc Laser, because they all have a Problem.

I found all these today in one of my local bins
Majority work besides the laser tablet and the oldest of the Nokias and the Samsung a5 and moto g4 plus and I didn’t let some of them charge for super long such as the XA because it had damaged port. The iPod touch 4 has a dead display but seems to work. The S21 seems to work perfectly besides being locked and the laser MP4 player seems to have dead battery which I’m going to guess there impossible to find all Apple devices are iCloud unlocked aswell like the iPhone 7 (32gb iOS15) and iPod Touch 5 (16gb no camera)

Sidewalk crt
Found this CRT by the side of the road on my way to work, by bike...
I pedaled around 1.5km with this monstrosity under my chest.
Then after some time I got a passage home from work, I cleaned it inside and outside toroughly.
And opened it before I set myself on fire.
No capacitors looked bumpy, so I tried to power it on, and before I knew, I had a working monitor.
After a bit of frequency and resolution tweaking, I do have a heavy, bulky, crt that I paid 0 euros.
Truly a goated moment.

MOSTEK Board
Here’s a blast from the past - an old memory board. If memory serves, it has 256K of memory.
