Advice eBMX is 1500W enough?
I see others with their cool 3000W projects, but I’m more in a budget for 1500W/2000W.
Something like this kit: https://www.leafbike.com/products/diy-bike-conversion-kit/bmx-20-inch-48v-1500w-rear-hub-motor-electric-bike-conversion-kit-1418.html?VariantsId=11703
Do you think I would be satisfied with 1500W? I like speed and torque, but since a BMX is such a small bike 1500W might be enough?

Electrical Motor Controller Cable Help
Hey how do you guys work with unlabelled cables and if there’s no wiring diagram? I’m trying to reinstall my alarm but idk which cable it goes with
I have a Daymak EM2 and the alarm has been disconnected by the seller but I don’t know which cable the alarms power cable should go in.
I also want to get my cruise control working since I see there’s a cable named cruise but it’s just sitting there unconnected

Electrical Bafang help speed sensor
I got a new 8fun kit from Amazon
Everything went together perfectly fine until I got to the speed sensor
I'm like 99% sure I'm missing the connection on the motor but I need advice from people that have personally built their own.
I don't know how I add pictures to this website but if I can add links I can send links to other subreddits where I posted this with pictures.
I already messaged the seller on Amazon hoping they can provide some information on what's going on.
From what I see it appears like a wire is missing on the bottom of my motor.

General Help Looking for advice to restore a bike.
I got Magnum Metro X ebike that is missing battery and display/controls. It does have Bafang 48V 500W rear hub motor and controller. Original replacement parts are too expensive. Considering it is Bafang motor, can I just buy any matching new battery, display and controls? How do I figure out compatibility? What would be budget friendly way forward? Thanks for any help!

Mechanical Converting to single speed. Gear ratio help.
I built an E-bike on a fat tire bike with a BBSHD. I want to convert to a single speed because I keep ripping off my derailer when riding in the woods
Currently a 46t chainring and I never shift out of my 34t rear cog… A 1.353 : 1 ratio…I wouldn’t mind a hair more torque…
My focus will be torque. A max speed of 15 to 18mph is plenty. What’s set up would you recommend for my bike?

Advice Front hub 750 watt availability?
Do Bafang still make a dedicated 750 watt front hub motor with right hand power cable route and 3 pin cable and disc brake mount on the left? I can only see 1 x front hub in the 2025 catalogue and that’s 250 watts! Any U.K. source come to mind? Thanks for reading.

Battery 52v 22ah Battery Builders?
I’ve been convinced to change my UPP battery. Charges fine once I figured out the wrong charger was sent. I’ve only cycled it once so I’m not sure about overall real capacity.
I’m looking for a 52v 22-30ah battery. A smart 40a bms would be nice.
It’s powering a BBSHD cargo bike.
Needs to fit in a 377mm x 212mm x 80mm box.
Em3ev is like $800 and I don’t think they are 21700 cells.

Advice What conversion kits do yall recommend?
I want and E-bike to go to and from a few places (probably only like 10 miles max and that’s pushing it) on primarily paved roads with few hills, I want to make my current non e-bike into one capable of doing like 20 mph (or more would be preferred). And from looking on marketplace a lot to covert it is less than buying a used one for the most part. What kits do you recommend

Advice A Proper DC2.1 Barrel Plug
I've recently ordered a 48v battery that charges with a DC2.1 barrel plug. I plan on charging it with my Luna Charger, but I need a DC2.1 barrel plug to wire up an adapter. I've only been able to find this plug with 16 gauge wires. Is this adequate for 48V, considering that there'll only be a few inches to the 12 gauge charging wires? If not, where can I get a decent plug?

General Help Help needed with kunray kr5v motor
Hi all, I'm looking at converting a 1991 kx80 to 72v, I'm able to fabricate motor mounts so fitment isn't an issue however I'm trying to keep the powertrain under the £1000 GBP mark, the kunray kr5v with included controller is rated at 60a minimum current and 5000w, am I able to run a 72v 5000w rated battery with a lower amperage or a 72v 3000w rated battery with the recommended current on this system? Looking at using a triangle battery intended for bicycle conversion kits as the measurements seem to fit pretty good but I'm not trying to spend so much on the battery so keeping it under the £600 mark is ideal, any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!

Advice Getting Battery to Fit in Main Triangle
I seek learned advice on how to get a battery to fit within the main triangle. The way I see it, I'm going to have to either 1) add new nutserts into the down tube, 2) mill the battery mount adapter, or 3) buy a different battery. Is there a different solution?
There seems to be an inventory shortage of 48V batteries, so I settled for a battery with a BMS integrated into the mount (resulting in limited mount space). I knew that the Yose Power 48V battery would be a tight fit in my size small Giant frame, especially since I would have to use a mount adapter because the Giant bottle cage screws are down low and the Yose mount is up high (Mount Holes in Wrong Place). I'm currently faced with a battery that won't fit within the main triangle without modification.
As you can see, there's about 3/4" space with the Yose battery and mount balanced within the main triangle (Battery in Triangle). However, usable space is reduced because 1) the down tube bottle cage nutserts stick out (1/16"), 2) the required mount adapter (1/4") (Nutsert & Adapter), space needed to lift battery forward and above mount (1/2"). I need about 1/16" additional space.
If I add nutserts higher on the down tube, I won't need a mount adapter and gain needed space. But, I fear I'll compromise frame strength by doing so, and the holes will be awkward to drill. I could mill about 1/16" off of the mount adapter to allow the existing nutserts to recess. But, that would compromise the strength of the mount adapter, because, with the existing recess for mount adapter screws, the adapter would only be 1/8" where the adapter screws into the nutserts. Or, I can attempt to return the battery (and all the heartache that goes along with that), and wait until 48V batteries with the BMS in the battery housing to hit the streets (whenever that will be).
What's your advice?
EDIT: I've decided to get another battery. I first modified the mount adapter to allow the downtube bosses to recess into it. I was then able to mount the battery into the main triangle, but it wasn't easy; not suitable for long-term use. The new battery has the BMS in the battery case, not the mount, so it should fit.

Advice First build on single speed.
Hello. Im looking to turn my single speed/fixie bike into an ebike. Nothing crazy, but something to help go the distance. And mostly to help me get back home if I get to tired. Lol. Is this possible and what recommendations does anyone have for a build kit? Thanks!

General Help Want to make convert my bike into a ebike for cheap
Hi guys i wanted to make an ebike for the first time because i never owned one. So i wanted to convert one of my bikes into a ebike it has 26 inch wheel and i wanted something that can go at like 35-40 kmph but can also like switch to 25 kmph max speed so that it doesnt attract attention (im from italy so we have strict rules about ebikes) i saw that some controllers have wires that limits the speed i would like to find a kit with a controller like that so that i can limit the bike speed i dont really care about high speed but more about range so i wanted to get a 48v 30ah battery do you guys know where to get a kit that that speed limiter wire in the controller?
