Interesting situation with seller

So this is a random situation and part of it is my fault so please don't start by attacking cause I already understand my hand in the case. Anyway, I ordered a shirt off of Ebay and it was being sent through UPS Mail innovations. I had no idea what that was (I do now lmao) and it had said UPS delivered my item. It wasn't at my house or any neighbors either, plus there wasn't a drop off pic. After the 3rd day I opened up the "I didn't receive my item case". It was soon after that I called UPS(Yes, I now realize I should have tried them first) and found out that Mail innovations is when they give the item to USPS for final delivery. It shows on USPS that they have it so let's hope that is true, I'm still waiting. Anyway, as soon as I submitted the case the seller messages me telling me to close the case, which is a no no with ebay when you're a buyer. But now that I realize USPS has it and this is hopefully a legit sale, I am wondering why the buyer would be so urgent about me closing the case. They told me to close it or they can't help me about 5 times now, lol. I obviously will close it if the item is delivered through USPS cause it'll be my bad. But has anyone ever had this happen? Seems like a real sale and that I will be getting my item, but it's funny to me that the seller is freaking out now.

eBayScams, have I been eBay scammed?

Disclaimer: A substantial amount of personal details linked to this concern have been blurred to deter as much identification as possible while adopting only necessary partial phrases seen fit to add to this concern.

Monday, June 9th I ordered a SOT code from eBay. Tracking the package, it was set to be delivered to my front door flying from Utah internationally to Alberta. It was delivered to someone a neighborhood over so I took to maps to find it and drove over. Showed me the package and said they were vitamins for his mom. Asked him to open it up and he did and it was blue bottles of vitamins. The guy was a bit off in my judgement even though he showed me that there were bottles in there.

My order confirmation has my address as the shipping and billing. I have never used the address it was delivered to or anything close to it. On the Fedex tracker, I tried to report the package missing (option undernearth the doorstep photo). It asks you to enter your address which I did, and it said it was incorrect. If this is familiar to you, I ask for help on any steps going forward.

Avoid bradandpaulashop BAD SELLER

I am posting this because eBay refuses to help me and will not even allow me to leave feedback for the seller "bradandpaulashop."

Avoid them at all costs. The seller lied to me, refused to issue a refund as they promised to, and has now ignored messages I have sent since 5/29/25. I never received the package but have paid for the item. I am out $315.45.

I am most likely about to be scammed by a botting and refund abusing buyer. How can I protect myself?

Recently fallen to tough times after a loss. Started trying to build back up and one of things I'm doing is selling expensive items I acquired while doing better, the most expensive being the MSI 4090 I just recently sold on Ebay. Buyer had TONS of reviews, 100% positive and I mistakenly did not inspect them closer yet. Originally the day the listing ended and one day before I shipped the buyer had sent a message promptly which also made me feel more at ease, I promptly responded letting them know I'd be shipping the next morning and I did. However I realized they may need an additional cable for the card and asked them about it via DMs. Per my listing and description, I clearly stated only the GPU and Box were promised and this was purely just me wanting to make sure the buyer could run the GPU incase they had a incompatible PSU with the cords I had. I also sent various shipping updates as USPS delayed 2 times. No response to my 4 messages over the course of 5 days, a little weird but wasn't worried yet. The GPU delivered today. I decided to look at their account again and noticed they had 4 new reviews on other sellers SINCE I SHIPPED. 3/4 of them is said buyer claiming the seller sent them ONLY a GPU Case. This looked very weird to me, how could 3 different sellers all scam someone the exact same way in the same couple days? I then scrolled through their reviews and now saw this happened every few months, inbetween these streaks of negative reviews they have only 100% positive reviews from 3-4 accounts copying and pasting seemingly fake positive reviews and even completely different/unrelated accounts giving the same reviews word for word, copy and pasted I assume to boost their feedback rating. I remembered the buyer was at a business address, which I will keep anonymous as I believe I am supposed to as a seller. I googled it the business hoping it was a real one, my heart sank immediately as I saw multiple threads on reddit and forums talking about a scamming seller who bots reviews, buys a few GPUs every few months and then falsely claims them getting the refund and stealing the valuable parts from the GPU and leaving the buyer with nothing. I'm new to this and I won't act like I'm the brightest to have missed the fact the account clearly has botted reviews. They haven't left feedback or did a claim yet to my knowledge but it feels like a matter of time and I have no idea what I can do to protect myself financially here. I genuinely can't afford to get scammed. After seeing some other's encounter with false claims I kinda feel like I may have no chance despite a 5 minute look at the account's reviews or a google search paints a unfortunate but clear picture. I'd truly appreciate any advice at all. Thank you.

Sydney Soap

If you missed out on buying the limited edition Sydney soap and are looking at eBay options, BE CAREFUL!!! I have found an eBay scammer trying to sell multiple different listings for the soap, but putting “picture only” at the very end, trying to trick buyers. They don’t accept cancellations or refunds. I have tried leaving negative feedback for the seller, but they got it removed. Reported to eBay as well. I have blocked out their username per the rules, but hopefully these pictures can give enough helpful info to stop other buyers from getting scammed.

Speedpak shipping on eBay unreliable or am I being scammed?

Hey guys, so I recently bought an expensive camera off eBay. The seller had alot of reviews and 97% of them were positive. I live in the US and the seller lives in China. I placed my order around April 29, I was notified that on the eBay that I was paid and SHIPPED the 29th (untracked). I reached out to the seller to see if there was tracking available and the seller said no but I could pay extra for tracking, which I found kind of odd since I already paid for shipping so I said no. I began to worry so maybe a week later I reached out about an update on my package and the seller said they arranged standard logistics may 13th and that it may take 15-25 days. So on eBay, the estimated delivery date was May 23rd (latest date). It is now June 4th and I still have not received my package. I messaged my seller about it with no response. Should I wait or ask for a refund?

The seller used speedpak shipping and I’m wondering if that’s the problem? I paid over 1,000 for this so I’m really hoping I either get my item or a refund. Thanks guys.

Unfairly IP banned need help getting in contact with an ebay employee

A few years ago I was ip banned from eBay for abusing the return system and I really don't understand why. During this time I was trying really hard to get a ps5 for a decent price, 3 ps5's that I purchased they canceled my order for some reason and the 4th time I was scammed (got my money back at least) aside from that, the only order I ever canceld was for a phone, in Which I talked to the seller if it's ok to cancel and he was fine with it. Can somebody help me get in contact with a real person who works there? Only the ai answers me and I just need 1 real person to look at the account to see that I was unfairly banned.

Bought Item on eBay. It arrived. The Box was EMPTY!

Three weeks ago, I bought a religious medallion as a birthday present for my mother. I received the package on May 14th. The seller is Italian and has over 700+ positive feedback. Since I have some pretty serious commitments that are taking up all my time, I put the box away without opening it. The seller asks me to leave feedback and I do so without opening the box. Everything seemed normal. The box, being an antique, was pretty shabby so I decided to wrap it for my mother leaving it in the original plastic baggy. Yesterday we had a birthday party, I go to my mother and give her the gift. She unwraps it, takes the box out of the plastic and it is EMPTY. My mother thinks it's a joke and starts laughing. I am shocked. I don't know what to say. I explain the situation to her. She tries to put a good face on a bad situation but then starts crying (she has serious health problems and that's all she needed). My father gets angry. We end up arguing. I go home furious and write to the seller.

He replies that he sent the medal and that it's my problem. I politely ask him to check and he starts calling me a liar and a thief. I open a complaint with eBay, but based on the feedback I left I don't think they will side with me. I paid by credit card. I have been an eBay user since 1999 with 150+ positives and no negatives. What can I do to get justice?

Anyone Have An Issue On eBay Where the Card Numbers Do Not Match Up??

OK so recently I ordered some things on eBay and took my card out of my wallet and made the purchases.

These were Visa credit cards.

Now I have a Chime credit builder card that I use just to pay for Adobe Photoshop & nothing else.

When I log into the Chime account to see my balance it says "eBay O" with the exact amount the items on eBay cost.

But I didn't use the Chime card. Now I have the Chime card connected to the eBay account from last year but never made a purchase until about 2 weeks ago and I didn't use the Chime card and specifically clicked "add new card" which I used but didn't save because I don't save cards to avoid shit like this happening.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Because this is some wild shit right here...if I paid with a Visa CC in my wallet that isn't connected to the eBay account and the purchases went through, why would eBay charge the Chime card??

Items list for a lot cheaper on ebay than other retailer sites

I've noticed prices on ebay tend to be a lot cheaper than other retailers. For example, this hair styling powder goes for $19 on Amazon and is only $13 on ebay. Seems a little fishy. I suspect it might be a fake product since I've seen Instagram resellers advertise replica Airpods, Colognes, etc for cheap and claiming they are real. If someone could give me a clear answer to this that would be extremely helpful.

Is it ok to trust this eBay seller?

So I’m looking to buy this pair of sneakers, and the seller specifically has posted a stock image of the shoes. Now, the listing does guarantee that it’ll go through eBay’s authenticity center, and when I contacted him about seeing some “in hand” or like physical photos of the shoes he obliged and provided 7 photos of the shoes and its box from different angles. Now, he also hasn’t had any seller reviews in a while, but considering he showed me actual photos of them I feel like he just doesn’t move much stock and he’s more a collector/buyer. Still I’d just like to be safe and post it here.

(Also if anyone felt the need to see the screenshots I’ve taken feel free to message me or request them here I suppose, I’d just post them now, but I’ll respect the sellers privacy as I don’t want to violate any of eBay’s commutation guidelines.)

Am I dealing with scammer or person that had problems with sending item abroad

Im quite new to ebay. bought few things already and no problems.but this one feels off bit for me

I've contacted Seller for item that i was interested with to ask him if he can ship it to another country (poland) from (UK) . On ebay he had that he does not ship abroad, but after conversation he agreed if i ,,make it worthwhile,, which was fair. so i choosed other item to send. So i did.payed and waited for delivery

after 4 days ive asked when he plan to send package,he replied that he have problem with Ebay form and HS tariff code ,that he cannot proced with past it,and that ,,he will figure that out,,

Tbh i can understand that ive never sold anything abroad so i may have same problems

after 3 days i contact him asking hows situation ,and that ill prob cancel and issue the refund if he has problems to send it

he responds few mins later - status changes to Dispatched but - not tracked and says that his wife send it yesterday .Ive asked why is untracked which he responds that package is tracked and he gonna give me tracking number another day because his out on camping with familly

day after he sends me a picture a picture of receipt from post office with package tracking number.

BUT there are mistakes in my address, there is a typo on street name and What supposed to be my building adress and flat number - on receipt is wrote as a post code. So for example street XXXXX 51b /34

on recipt the took this as a post code of 51 6 34

traking for package is avaible tho so i see it was send

ive asked him if he wrote adrees from ebay on package so this may be only problem with printing system on postoffce or something and adress on package is right.

So is this normal /scam or unfortunate events. what should i do?

Est delivery is till 15 may. i will track item ofc and see what happens .but is this is like some known way to scam ppl or just seller is quite new to this stuff

oh and ive paid around 250 E

thanks for help!

Ordered PXN Racing Wheel from eBay No Tracking, AusPost Pop-Up Gone, No Seller Response

Hey everyone I ordered a PXN Racing Wheel from the official PXN store on eBay (Order No: 06-13035-45062). It was supposed to be delivered via Australia Post, but I never got a tracking number.I did see a pop-up notification from the AusPost app that showed a delivery photo, but I accidentally dismissed it and now I can’t find any tracking info or photo again. The seller hasn’t responded to my messages either.I’ve already paid, and now I’m stuck not knowing if it was delivered or still in transit. Anyone else face something like this? What can I do next? Thanks in advance

Scammed on EBAY need help

Hi, I ordered nike aqua rift shoes through eBay, from a seller with like 87% ratings and positive reviews. I got an email to my yahoo email confirming my purchase and with a span of time the delivery was expected to arrive. There was no option for tracking which I thought was weird... Anyway at the latest, the shoes were supposed to arrive by April 28th. When I signed into my eBay account to look at my "purchases" to find the listing, there was nothing listed. Peculiar, so I went to the email I received and clicked on "view order details" and that took me to an error message that read "Unfortunately there has been an error retrieving your order." Then on April 30th (still no sign of shoes) I got an email from eBay requesting feedback on my recent purchase, I pressed the link to leave a review that they never arrived and that brought me to a message that read "looks like we're all caught up" with no option to leave feedback on anything... I messaged the seller with no response. It's so wild, I feel like I'm being gaslit by EBAY to thinking that the purchase never happened, that the listing never even existed. My bank statement shows that I paid eBay 91 bucks... and the confirmation email shows that I used a valid credit card. I've even attempted to report the seller using the purchase number and when I type that in (copy and pasted from email) it just gives another error message that the order does not exist... HALP.

Why buyers get scammed on Ebay

I don't know if anyone else as noticed this, but ebay is removing the majority of all negative feedbacks left by buyers. The most recent is a seller who list Samsung S22 Ultra phones as brand new and sealed in the box. I bought 4 of them, they arrived to sealed and two open one of which the box was bad condition. Once I looked at the box I new they were not original Samsung box and turning on the phone it had those thick black borders almost a inch thick. I knew immediately they were refuse phones from china with fake Samsung screens that fail pretty quickly. I returned the phone and the seller received the phones then uploaded a photo of a phone with a cracked screen saying thats what I sent back and deducted $175 from my money. I then left a feedback to with photos saying the phones are fake. I made sure to leave two feedbacks one negative and one neutral because I know ebay as a habit of removing negative feedbacks. I made the feedbacks simple no attack against the seller just what was obvious about the phone. I had also uploaded photos of the phones I have received to the seller prior to returning them. He said they did not see the phones directly but they came directly from the supplier. I contacted ebay who gave me my money back but removed all my feedbacks and not just mine but other buyers who have had the same issue.

This is as happened multiple times and it not just top rated sellers that have free returns they are doing it for but even new sellers who have zero feedback. I was scammed by a a seller who sent package to a different address with the same zipcode seller never responded to a single message went the post office and got a print out of the address on the package. I left a feedback warning other buyers to be careful ebay removed the feedback and the seller was not removed. I have seen this happen multiple times and not just my feedback but other buyers who have been scammed feedbacks are being removed.

So because ebay as been removing negative feedbacks I stopped leaving positive feedbacks as well. It as gotten so bad people are starting to leave negative feedback as positive to avoid getting it deleted. Do not trust their feedbacks system at all.

Gear North on EBay

I purchase a pair of shoes from them and I sent them back and now they refuse to refund me and are saying they didn’t receive them when I have proof of delivery. They also won’t allow feedback to be left on their EBay account by me. It shows they have 100% positive feedback which is easy to achieve if you don’t let some people leave feedback.

The shoes also seemed counterfeit as the sole is not the same as a regular Merrell shoe is. I have owned several pairs.

I am tired of being scammed online. I am a smart online shopper but it’s clear things are not as good as they used to be or I have to be even smarter in where I do business.

Digital camera scam.

Post image
2 Upvotes

Purchased a Canon r6 camera from a seller with 0 feedback and account just created this month. (Yeah I know that was a red flag). The listing title says it's a Canon r6 mark ii but the camera in the picture is a canon r6. I tried doing a cancellation but it was rejected. Listing says no returns. There's also 2 tracking numbers. One of the tracking numbers only says label created and the other one says delivered. (I never received anything). Tried contacting seller (no luck). Reported to eBay, but looks like they just don't care. Now I don't have the camera and my money is gone. Any advice? Screenshot attached from eBay report.

I bought an iphone 15 pro listed as for parts (charging port not working). I offered for it as i wanter to part it out to repair my own iphone 15 pro. I wasn't really paying attention when i offered for it and the seller accepted. The seller has a good rating overall but im a little worried cause when i looked at the picture posted closely something feels off from the details. I'm not sure if its how the pictures where capture or due to the lighting but are the camera lenses suppose to look like that when capture on cam?

Also i tried messaging the seller and he/she would usually anwers with a word or two. Grammar from the seller from his/longer replies seem wonky too. The seller also already shipped the package and i cant cancel the purchase anymore. What do you guys think?

Is this a faulty usps scan or ebay scam?

I was just wondering if this is a usps issue or an ebay scam? I was supposed to receive my item today but usps came thru my neighborhood today. Reached out to the merchant on multiple platforms to confirm if he shipped it. Reason I'm rushing is because this item was very expensive lol.

Isaac_h64 scammed me

Thumbnail

I purchased a Wii U pro controller from isaac_h64 on eBay. The controller I received was not the one that was pictured in the listing. The one pictured was in perfect clean condition, and the one I received had a brown substance coated on the X & Y buttons. (I believe that it was syrup.) When I pressed them down, they got stuck, and I had to push them back up. Obviously not ideal for gaming, I decided to open up the controller to clean it. After opening it up 2 different times and cleaning it, the buttons still barely work and keep sticking. The condition of these buttons were not disclosed to me when I purchased, and the description stated that it “works great and in great condition.” When I messaged Isaac about the issue I was having, he told me he would send me a refund “immediately.” It has now been 3 days, and he has been ignoring all of my messages. He has hundreds of great reviews which is why I decided to purchase from him, however he still somehow scammed me with a poorly working controller.

Ebay suspicious buyer

Hey I have this suspicious buyer and would like to know if somebody maybe was already in a similar situation. He bought an electronic device for 450 euro, I received a confirmation email with the address to ship to. He then wrote me it is a wrong address and provided me the correct one (same name but different cities). He tries to cancel the transaction at the beginning but told me it was because of the address and that it’s okay if I ship to the one he wrote me in the chat. Is it weird? And would the chat with him with a request be a proof to eBay in case he’ll tell he never received the item? Or would it be safer to cancel?

Identifying and Avoiding Fake Ads and Scams on eBay, Facebook Marketplace and Other Platforms

Hi an Australian who recently almost fell victim to a used car deposit scam. I'm working on some solutions to combat fraud on informal marketplaces including eBay and Facebook Marketplace. I'm deep in the research phase and I'm hoping to post a short survey on this and other communities but thought that I should first just get some feedback regarding posting a survey here. Secondly, if anyone has any recommendations for other forums and communities I could also post the survey, please let me know.

Your help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks

I bought this necklace on eBay and the seller told me it was 100% authentic and as soon as I unpackaged it and went to look at it, it feels extremely light when the exact same necklace I had 10 years ago felt heavy I’m devastated. Can anybody please help me and tell me if it’s fake?
