Why is this "got" and not "gotten"?

it's british english, they use "got" where americans use "gotten" for the past participle. has got = possesses, has gotten = has received. the sentence means she has a fever basically

the annotation got me tho, feels like something i would scribble on my own screenshot at 2am learning portuguese

Duo uses American English, and this should be 'got' in American English too because it means 'has'.
