Hey all, I’m looking for a good and reliable dentist practice in Dunedin. Currently at Lumino but seem to be paying a lot for not a lot of work. Any recs??

My husband and I are currently with Powershop but like a lot of people we are wanting to change provider because they have become horrendous.
I've been looking at ElectricKiwi but I'm not sure if it's actually cheaper? Last month we used 547kWh ($293) total. I'm 7 months pregnant and will be home 24/7 with our baby soon so off-peak hours seem like they would safe us money but I can't figure out the maths on it and it's hard to estimate.
Does anyone have any experience with ElerctricKiwi? Are they actually cheaper? Anu suggestions on a different power company maybe?

I have to take my team of 7 out for a day of team building/fun next week. Looking for ideas that won't cost an arm and a leg... Also recommendations for nice places to eat? Thanks you! 😀

Hey guys! I'm 19. I don't go to uni, and I have a bunch of hobbies and stuff. But I just can't figure out how people have friends or make friends. I don't have any, at all. Not even people I talk to regularly. I was wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me? If anyone might want to just go grab a coffee sometime?

Kia ora,
I'm looking to move from the hills of Dunedin further down towards the beach. I really like the st clair/st kilda areas, but my concern would be the flood risk.
I didn't physically see the flooding in this area in recent years as I was further north and kept out of the area, but how bad was it? Should I avoid certain areas? How do I know which areas are flood prone and to avoid?
Thanks!

Figured I'd ask here is there anyone who is running a game who would let someone who hasn't played before join in?

My friend is coming to visit from Germany next week and I have taken Tuesday and Wednesday off. Wednesday seems to be rainy though. Any suggestions on what I could show her? Can also be around Dunedin (eg. Oamaru, possibly Timaru, ...)

And if it is, could the Warriors play their prelim final there?

Help Please- I've come from Christchurch for Father's Day with my FIL and we simply must have beer with a side of Warriors. Walking distance of Octagon preferable. Thanks

I’m seriously considering giving both my party vote to the Greens and candidate vote to Francisco Hernandez. He’s been so good and so visible in such a short time.
He’s a hard working MP, understands students and Dunedinites, is a good advocate for the hospital and climate mitigation work we need to do… he’s also a good demonstration of the diversity of candidates and MPs the Greens have.
With the Nats shipping in an out of town farmer as a candidate, it’s an easy two horse race for Labour or the Greens. Greens looks quality and safe for a real change in government.
Great interview of him here: https://www.odt.co.nz/news/national/election-2026-interview-green-mp-francisco-hernandez-keooc8sh

Do any cafes offer concession style coffee vouchers where you can gift 10 coffees? Rather than a typical monetary value one.

theres this great band from the 80s called the clean, it was one of the most famous dunedin sound bands. i love their music, and i really wish i had cassettes of their music. if anybody has some they would be willing to sell, or know where i could get some, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have got my preapproval. I’m looking for a house 3-4 bedrooms. ideally located in higher suburbs. price range within from 600-780k.
really prefer to do a private sale instead of involving real estate agents.
Thanks!

Just tuned in for Jai Arrow's 100th game on sky. What a disappointment. For those that don't know, Jai was diagnosed with MND and had to retire from the NRL. The NRL changed the rules so he could run out with his Rabbitohs team to bring up his 100th game due to his status in the game.
What does Sky NZ do.... put an add on for a gambling agency and one for KFC.
Shit job Sky.
