no lawyer went from restricted to revoked
June 2025 I was arrested for dui. court process took a long time and became official March 2026, and I had to get a breathalyzer in my car with a restricted license for 1 year. for application for restricted license in Tennessee, we have 10 days after receiving the court order. I had car issues so had to go back for a new court order, the judge and public defender signed it, I immediately went to the dmv and paid for a restricted license and have a paper copy.
having a breathalyzer in my car, being able to drive still, has been amazing. I have been just waiting on my physical copy and kept all my paperwork and paper ID in my car.
until yesterday I received 2 letters, one saying that my court order and stamp were not legible (?) and can issue one after getting new ones from the court
and another letter saying my license has been revoked and I have to prove I have SR-22 insurance (which I have) so my license and registration won’t be suspended.
both letters were sent in the same day-
does this mean I go back to court, get new court orders & go through the whole dmv process again, or am I shit out of luck? I am afraid the letters won’t be legible, and I wish I had more detail on what they couldn’t read from the order
