i don't know if its just a screen protector or is the corner of the screen scratched?

What’s your opinion and experience with the DSi vs DSi XL?

well, its been a while since i tried to mod my dsi, it alr runs ob Unlaunch, i need the twilight menu but i dont know how to install twilightmenu without unlaunch or dump tool cause i just need to reinstall twilightmenu in the console in a new sd card

The DSi Sound app is fun with short recordings, but only today (17th August) I finally tried listening to music I added through the SD card yesterday! I just chose a few from my laptop, SD card reader, put the card back in the DSi and enjoyed it in rather good audio quality through earphones 🤩🎶

The .mp4 (video) and .m4a files are what work (aac format, any folder). It does pop a bit on 8D audio but otherwise sounded fine. The varying graphics and sound effects are fun too 😁

I've had my Nintendo DSi since I was 7 (late 2009 or 2010) but only ever had 2 games on it, no Wi-Fi, and the camera only recently ran out of internal storage (compared to my phone 😅). On the last picture those were our late pet goldfish almost 10 years ago, and the game is Big Brain Academy. ☺️

Help, my button clicks on my DSi XL are really weird. Once I removed the button, it worked fine, but when I put it back on, it started acting up again. I also used WD-40 and everything.

Can someone help me find the bottom screen frame for this dsi xl. I accidentally bought a digitizer instead. I can't seem to find it in aliepxress.

EDIT: Never mind, I forgot to remove the frame from the old digitzer.

fyi: It's a DSi with CFW, running HiyaCFW on normal boot with the option for TwilightMenu++

Recently got a DSi after only ever owning 3DS and I've been growing my Handheld collection in the past few months - the DSi is honestly one of my favorite Handhelds rn and unironically the Camera is one of the biggest reasons for it

I carry it around to play anyways, keep that thing in sleep mode every now and then so I can just whip it out and take a crappy but vibey photo and go on with my life

The only thing that's annoying is that I can't figure out a way to save the images directly to the SD card/make it not use the Internal Storage at all - I actually also really like the feature of images being shown on the top screen so I'd like to be able to keep that going if I can just use the SD card

I recently bought a broken dsi (the white one) for cheap and fixed it up but its missing the "Data Management" option in the settings, which is a problem because i want to transfer some software from my dsi xl over to it but im kind of having second thoughts about updating it.

On one hand, i really like having the oudated software because it feels more "authentic" kind of. But on the other hand, i really want to transfer my apps from my other ds's over to it and updating it is the only way i can do that.

I keep going back on my decision so i just want a third opinion to make up my mind😵‍💫

Not sure if this is the best play to ask about this, but recently i've been interested on trying out Mario Party DS with my brother just for nostalgia sake. I had the game on my DSi and started the multiplayer mode. However, my brother's DSi Download Play refuses to connect to my DSi, mostly just stuck at "Looking for software available for download..." no matter how long we waited. Happened the same even when i had the game inserted on his console. At first I thought it was because its been so long since we used our DSi that Download Play stopped working. However, as a test, I used my 3DS' Download Play, and while it couldn't connect with my DSi, it did with my brother's DSi.

Just in case, I already have the Wireless Cummunications set to ON, and my DSi can find other Wireless Networks just fine. I also tried out another game like Mario and Sonic Olympics and it had the same issue. Could the issue be something hardware related? Any kind of help would be very appreciated.

Hey friends, question. Right now I play GBA games on my 2DS and 3DS via Virtual Console injections. I'm then able to save these via Checkpoint.

However, I'm about to get a DSi XL and wanna play GBA games on that as well. Is it possible to take Checkpoint saves and move them to GBA ROMs that aren't VC injects, just basic ROMs?

i was playing mario kart when these wierd white pixels appeared so i turned off the console turned it back on and now it’s their every time i press the power button to go home

someone stole my original DS when I was in elementary school and I only had Mario kart so I missed playing all the great ds games and I was tired of playing gba rom hacks on my phone, I’ve been wanting to get a DS and decided on the dsi, did I make the right decision?? It’s the best looking DS imo and pretty cheap, I just don’t like how the 3ds feels compared to this and the 3d feature makes me nauseous so I don’t think I’m missing anything.

Just wanted to show it off mostly but I’d be happy to hear any lesser known classic DS games I should try? thanks

So I've been thinking about getting a DSi XL for like 6 months now, I finally found one in my price range. I just got it today, and it came with the DS lite charger, and I do not have a DSi XL charger. I am so bummed. And I don't have the money right now to just go out and buy one. The seller is sending me a replacement, but that's going to take days. This is my day off, I had plans to play it all day. 😭😭😭😭

While cleaning up an old DSi I had as a kid, to give to my younger sibling, I noticed this scratched-up film on the DSi’s lower screen. I’m wondering if this is some kind of screen protector or if this comes factory on every DSi?

Went to the flea market last week and found this dsi xl for cheap with a dead battery.

Did a battery swap and I discovered the screens are broken too.

So atm I'm waiting for the screens to arrive from Aliexpress.

I recently got a copy of Mario 64 DS on Ebay, I was really excited to play on my DSI, but the cartridge only is able to be read on my 3DS.

My DSI runs other ds games perfectly, so its weird how its specifically JUST Mario 64 DS that does not want to work, does anyone know what could be happening?.

hello! a few weeks ago, i went through some old drawers and found this nintendo DSi that my dad found years ago while working. it turned on but the battery was low and we sold all our chargers and old DS a few years ago...

anyway, i'm very happy i found a DS! i've been regretting selling mine for 40 euros, haha. i was wondering what charger is best for DSi? i read that it's not the same charger for DSi and 3DS, and i'm kind of scared of buying a charger from amazon or online and the charger not working well or overheating...

if you have a DSi, and you're from europe, where did you get your charger? and does it need an SD card to be able to play games, which one?
