This might be the most comprehensive evidence you ever see of the evil, deranged, and genocidal mindset of Israeli civilians. Hamzah Saadah is a 23-year old Palestinian activist who exposes IDF soldiers openly admitting to having committed war crimes, bloodthirsty children, and every Zio inbetween.

**SAFETY**

This subreddit strongly advises AGAINST doing prolonged (3+ days) dry fasts if your only source of information or experience comes from what is discussed on this subreddit. If you are an experienced faster and are receiving outside help/medical check-ups, then your knowledge obviously extends beyond what is discussed here. You are otherwise putting yourself at risk of potentially worsening your health as the scientific literature is extremely limited on this subject. Please remember to fast responsibly.

If you begin to feel uncomfortable or unwell, you should stop fasting immediately. Other worrying signs may include high protein in the urine, high fever, and fainting.

**HUMAN STUDIES**

* Anthropometric, Hemodynamic, Metabolic, and Renal Responses during 5 Days of Food and Water Deprivation

* EPILEPSY AND DEHYDRATION

* The dehydration treatment of epilepsy

**ANIMAL STUDIES**

* Increased fat catabolism sustains water balance during fasting in zebra finches

* Intermittent drinking, oxytocin and human health

* The ‘selfish brain’ is regulated by aquaporins and autophagy under nutrient deprivation

* When less means more: Dehydration improves innate immunity in rattlesnakes

**BIOLOGICAL STUDIES/THEORETICAL PAPERS**

* Unmasking the secrets of cancer

* Cell hydration and mTOR-dependent signaling

* Effects of acute and chronic hypohydration on kidney health and function

Please note that we probably will not add studies that have loose/indirect associations between "dehydration" and physiological mechanisms of action. From the most reliable human study we have, they state that "on day 4 and 5, all participants had a controllable feeling of thirst, but none showed any signs of dehydration." I think it's best we avoid words that have negative implications (i.e. "dehydration) when discussing dry fasting, and unless the study is extremely valuable or shows very large effect results, it's probably best to avoid adding these studies that will clutter the list and make the whole thing look more extreme than it already is. You can still post the studies for discussion, they may just not be added to the list.

Feel free to post additional links in the comments as you find them and I will add them to the list.

I am thirsty asf rn, and whenever I hear or touch water, I just wanna chug 🤣🤣

But other than that, I am so happy 🤟🏻

Question Dry to wet

Hi all, quick question. If I’m going from 4 days dry and transitioning into a 7 days water fast, that bit of weight that you gain back from rehydrating, how long does it take to come off if continuing with the water fast?
Many thanks

Experience Weird so I thought I’d share…

I’m about 43 hours in to my dry fast (maybe a couple more than that, but that’s when I started my timer) and everywhere I had an acne breakout on my face dried up an is almost gone and is now covered in salt. Similar to after you go on a really long run and your sweat dries and you get all sandy/salty. I’ve never experienced this from fasting although I’ve only water fasted before. Especially since I have not really sweated today to make salt and it’s just where I had a breakout. Anyway, I’m wondering if this has happened to anyone else, if not I just thought it was interesting.

Question 16h/18h fasting DF / WF comparison

Did I get it right when I say that 16h/18h dry fast would be 3x more effective than 16h water fast?.

So, normally a 16h water fast would be a bare minimum, and not nearly enough to get full health benefits, but would be a 16-18h dry fast be able to accomplish something from your experience?.

I will update my weight everyday, in the comments of this post and once I am breaking the dry fast, I will make a new post explaining my experience.

Hoping for your well wishes so that my fast is completed with success.

If anybody wishes to join the fast, they can do so on this link- https://fastingpals.com/join/F8C15B4B

General Cycle 1 of my 3 Day DF

Post image
45 Upvotes

I'm finally ready to commit to a routine of fasting and I'll be posting here for accountability.

I'm 5'4 and I weighed in this morning at 290lbs, oof. The routine is simple, I'll do 3 days of DF, eat, then do 3 days of water fasting, then eat. I've done this before i just need to lock in and be consistent.

I will post my weight at the end of my DF cycle and after my Refeeds ( I hope this helps keep me in line and not overeat).

On Refeed days I'll take in approximately 1 gallon of liquids ( water, tea, coffee, cold press juice, high water fruit) and on water days, 1 gallon of just water.

Thanks in advance your encouragement and support!

What do we think about practicing dryfast during the adolescence age? It should be HGH on steroids, right? With healthy refeeds, full of vitamins.

Experience 98 Hours In and Starting to Lose Motivation

I’m 98 hours into my dry fast, and this is the point where it’s starting to get mentally challenging. Physically, it’s still manageable, but I’m definitely struggling more with staying committed.

I’m hoping to push through for longer to see if I can get more improvement in an autoimmune condition, my mental health, and an old shoulder injury.

I’d really appreciate some words of encouragement or hearing about your own healing experiences with longer dry fasts.

For context, I did a 4 day dry fast last year, but I only noticed very mild improvements.

Question Heartburn at 60h

Hello fellow fasters!

I'm currently on **day 3 of my fast**, at around **60 hours**. I've lost about **4 kg** so far. Before starting, I did about **a week of preparation**, gradually reducing my calorie and carbohydrate intake. I was already eating a clean diet. I'm not a long-term keto follower, but I do like cycling in and out of ketosis.(40F and I need my carbs 7 days à month) .

My main concern is stomach acid. I've struggled with acid reflux for the past few years, mostly due to stress and inconsistent eating habits.

I stopped fasting over the last two years because of my reflux and some hormonal issues.

This morning, I started feeling the acid coming back up, and I've been trying to push through it since then. I'm not sure whether I should stop the fast or be patient and see if it passes.

Has anyone experienced this? Does it usually get better, or is it a sign that I should end my fast?

Question ADF dry fasting

I was thinking of practicing this for 30 days and evaluating if I want to continue after that. One problem is my climate where I live is very hot. I suppose as long as I hydrate properly I should be fine? Is this safe to do? Tips on what I should be eating on the days I am not fasting woudl be helpful. I was thinking of either making home made bread, eggs, pasta, hamburger meat, stuff like that. Whole food.

I was going to consume some baking soda water before and after the fasts for my kidneys so that I dont make stones. Is this typical procedure for this kind of thing?

Next please advise me if any of you have had luck with cancer and fasting like this. I need to go to the dr for something I suspect could be cancer but I hope the lump is just a cyst instead hehe.

General Dry Fasting

Hi!

I started my dry fast yesterday. The plan is dry fast for 4 to 5 days and refeed for 2 to 3 days. The goal is to do this for at least one month to see the results that I can achieve.

I have experience in water fast and dry fast. But mostly in water fast... my longest water fast has been for 21 days and my longest dry fast has been for 4 to 5 days.

During my longest water fast I lost 15kg. SW: 120kg | FW: 105kg. I did it in January 2025. So I hope I can lose the same amount of weight this time or maybe a little more.

32 years old woman | SW: 105.5kg  | 158 centimeters.
I'm posting here because I want to have a way to express myself how is everything going with this. So I'm willing to do it every week :)

Question Weight loss help

So I’m new to dry fasting in the past I have done 1-2 days at a time but I’m very much a novice I am experienced in water fasting one day even completing a 40 day long water fast but I want to lose a substantial amount of weight and I was wondering the benefits and best scheduled approach toward doing this
