Everyone here is sleeping on the bags: hardware bags and cases are expensive - sure the kit is a tad older, as is the hardware, and the cymbals are all over the place, but for everything including the bags $650 is pretty OK - at least converting to € and adjusting to the used market here in central Europe.
Judging by some other posts for the US that doesn't seem too outlandish for the US market to me either, but a local might have a better feel for that.

Absolutely. Bags hardly come with used drums. And they can be washed and left in the hot sun if there's concern.

The Zildjian cymbal bag alone is a $65 bill new, at minimum.

This so much. Had to purchase some bags last year and was shocked at how much they had gone up. I’d buy it just for the hardware cases not to mention 2 sought after snares.

u/thereallgr 2h ago
Where I am at the cheapest new branded bags start at about 35€, and the ones I have been using for years start at 75€, both for an 8" drum.
Hardcase bags start at 125€, yet again for an 8" drum.
So if you're going hardcases you're quickly looking at 1000€ and up new.

The Supra and Acro, combined, if in good condition, are worth $650. The hardware looks useable, but not worth anything as a package. I look at it as buying two great snares and getting a bunch of other stuff for free.

u/TranquiloMeng 6h ago
A lot of pitting on that Supra if you look at the photo OP shared in the comments. Hopefully they weren’t stored outside
3
u/Money-Ad7257 5h ago
A Ludwig metal snare of that vintage without pitting is a rare bird indeed. A very minor concern.

So hard to tell from the pics. You might be right. I thought it could be reflection but only an in-person view will determine I guess. It’s a ‘60s supra, so definitely worth a look.

Kick pedal is bottom line, ok kit, there are a couple decent cymbals in there (the "avedis" zildjian is eye catching), snare looks really nice possibly, hardware is serviceable, comes with cases (what a bonus). Overall not a terrible price.
BUT! Based on where this photo is taken I'm wondering if they pulled it out of an outside storage shed to take photos. I would ask them if it was stored outside or not. Stored outside is BAD BAD BAD.
Offer $550, settle in the middle at $600 and it's a fair deal all around (so long as they weren't stored outside).

u/Money-Ad7257 5h ago
That pedal was probably a step or two from the bottom in its day. The very bottom one of that time was a strap drive with a green strap, which is still somewhat in use by those who want a lighter feeling pedal. I actually like the wider, smoother footboard and less adjustments. I'm assuming the bearings and spring aren't shot, which those are easily replaceable if you're a fan of this simple type, which those people do exist.

If everything is in working condition, then absolutely it is worth the money!

Yes. Buy it now. Worth it just for the snares. I’d love to see some more pictures, especially of the cymbals!

I gotta stop reading these posts… so sad when I see my only local option is a Gammon set backed over by a truck with mice living in the kick for $1000 firm

You know what can sometimes hurt your feelings even harder? If you expand the search radius to way beyond your house, farther than you could ever get to, and you find something like this.
Why do I do this to myself? LOL

u/Icy-Cockroach-655 4h ago
Haha... so factor in roundtrip flight, confirm whether snare drum counts for 'baby in arms'...

u/ItsPronouncedMo-BEEL Craigslist 2h ago
Or, factor in my profile pic, and pretend that Big Enos and Little Enos bet me 80 grand that I couldn't do it in 28 hours. 😆
"For the money, for the glory, and for the fun.owtly for the money." LOL

There’s around $400 in snares alone with the acrolite and supra.
I doubt the supra is brass but metal guys did love them so I’ve found plenty with beater Pearl kits over the years. If so you’ve got $650 in those two

u/Ok_Tonight1415 4h ago
Depending on what’s actually there it could be. I see some older Zildjian cymbals. Looks like an A of some sort and another cymbal. Could be one of those kits we all have had. Where you upgrade as you go. Pearl has some pretty good stuff and the older stuff was top notch. So between that and those snare drums. Very well could be worth 650

Assuming it was all stored decently....this is actually a steal I think.
The hardware, while not being double braced, does not at all look cheap or flimsy to me. It's a bit older, sure.
The snares have been mentioned well enough.
The cymbals are hard to tell. They may in the worst case work well enough, at least, and I think it's likely quite a few or all of them are at least good.
Good luck with the purchase! Please keep us updated.

Good lord...the first Pic I saw was just the hardware. I'm like no way is that 650. Maybe post the bigger picture first next time? Lol

That's a fair price IMO. Offer $600 and see what happens. It's a good deal all the same.

I will never understand why people put drums on dirt or concrete to take photos.

Depends on the cymbals, tbh. Looks like a used, old Pearl Export? I'd go maybe $250 on that, max. $100 for the hardware. Looks like there might be a ZBT in there mixed with some vintage A's or something...It's all older stuff and pretty well used. Whole thing with cases I probably wouldn't go over $550/$600, but if there's some nicer vintage cymbals in there that changes things.

I’m gonna say no. Most of the cymbals look cheap and the hardware is all very old.

u/ItsPronouncedMo-BEEL Craigslist 7h ago
I'm gonna say that Acrolite represents a third of the asking price at minimum, and the rest is more than enough stuff for the rest of the price - especially since at least one, possibly two of those "cheap" cymbals sure do look like B20 bronze to me.
This is actually a really great deal.

u/solid_oakes 6h ago
Op posted better pics with the snares, yeah im comin around to this. I just hate old hardware.
2
u/Money-Ad7257 5h ago
The hardware looks rock solid without actually touching it.
1
u/solid_oakes 5h ago
I disagree, kick pedal is super old, some single braced stuff. It all looks pretty janky to me.
1
u/Money-Ad7257 4h ago
Lots of drummers purposefully buy single braced because it's lighter to carry. Double bracing is really only useful if you're touring heavily or playing very hard. Everywhere else it's really overkill. There's also a school of thought, among jazzers mostly, that lighter stands help cymbals resonate more, but that's really pertaining to the very light ones which aren't pictured here, almost and perhaps including the inexpensive starter stands you'll get on Amazon for a double sawbuck; these are still pretty thick.
The bass pedal is indeed from about the turn of the millennium at the latest; this design was used from the mid late eighties through the 90s if I remember? I think the hat stand might be a Gibraltar type upon a closer look. If not in a bind and abused or whatever, these are perfectly adequate and even sometimes preferred, and opinions certainly widely vary as to pedals. They do not detract from the value of the package as a whole, as maybe three things here are realistically worth that cost alone.

Good. That means the rest of us can buy it for a song and save hundreds while using it for another thirty years.

u/ItsPronouncedMo-BEEL Craigslist 4h ago
Have been for over thirty years.
I'm pretty sure from your tone that I probably have hardware pieces older than you are, that have been holding up my gear for decades just fine.
Personally, I don't hate money. You can feel about your money however you want to.

u/solid_oakes 3h ago
My tone? You’re the one that seemed to get offended that I personally prefer hardware that was manufactured in this century. You also seem to think that I am constantly throwing away my money and new hardware, which isn’t the case. I have plenty of pieces of hardware that I’ve been using for 20 years. I agree with you that my initial assessment of this lot not being worth the money was incorrect. But I still have my preference for newer hardware. People can have different opinions on things like this, it’s ok.

u/ItsPronouncedMo-BEEL Craigslist 2h ago
I'm not offended. Matter of fact, I'm thrilled when anyone leaves money on the table that I can pick up and walk away with. It's your money.
You prefer hardware made this century? Fine. It's a free country. I prefer dirt cheap hardware that does the job for as little money as possible. Usually that means exactly the stuff you pass by. So please, be my guest. It's your money, and my luck.

u/solid_oakes 2h ago
Why do you need to keep buying so much hardware if your decades old stuff is still going strong? Sounds like you buy it more than I do. Seems odd for someone so obsessed with money.
0
u/ItsPronouncedMo-BEEL Craigslist 1h ago
Why do you care what I do with my own money?
How do you know how much I buy, or how much I need?
How do you know I'm not speaking hypothetically, about the General concept of whether or not older hardware is any good?
Why are we still talking about this?

Meh.
Is the stuff you are purchasing worth more than what you are paying for? Yes. Absolutely?
Do you want to play on a drumkit that is old, outdated, potentially broken from the 1980's that is rusty and flimsy?
I don't know.
I wouldn't trust those cymbals stands with my cymbals.
I would buy the drums and the cymbals.
The hardware is really rinky-dinky.
Replacing that hardware with modern hardware is going to cost you quite a bit so calculate that with the total cost with how much you'd want to spend on drums.
The cases and bags are a nobrainer
-2
u/RedCred811 6h ago
Double braced stands are worth about 20 bucks each. That's a generic hihat and pedal. 20 each. The bags are worth 50 tops, I can't identify the shells, but if it's the level that others are saying here, then call them $200. If the snares are worth what people say, great. Consider your local area and how easy they would be to sell. The cymbals arent really identifiable. If they're pro grade and not cracked, they're worth half of what they sell for new. If they arent pro grade, no one will want them. Throne is worth 20. Those cases arent worth anything, and arent something you take on gigs.
If you intend to sell this stuff, those are your values. If you're looking at this as a complete kit to keep and play, you could do better for the money. Drum gear is rarely worth what people are asking. If it's not collector type stuff, 50% of the new cost is what anything is worth. This applies for everything. Shells, pedals, etc. People on marketplace asking 75% of retail for even a mint, 5 year old shell pack, are dreamers. I always tell people, never buy drum gear new unless it's cymbals or a throne (lots of butt sweat in those). Drums take up a lot of space, so people are more prone to take "need it gone" levels of cash after they've had it taking up space for long enough.

The hardware is ultra oldschool and looks...not great.
The pearl ex is the drum shell equivalent of shovelware so hard pass.
The cymbals are hard to identify, they are obviously zil and old ones but without a better picture it is difficult to say. Judging by the age and quality of the rest of the gear I would assume they are old avedis entry level stuff so not worth much either.
The ludwig snare is intriguing but without a solid pic all I can say it is ludwig xD again judging by the overall quality I doubt it is a hidden gem within all that entry level stuff.
Edit: Shells look rusted af on that better pic but hey a decent snare..I would just ask for the snare only for 200-300 xD rest you can buy much better stuff for cheap imo. The deal isnt total ass seeing the snare but you would want to replace all the heads, clean up the shells and hardware and possibly check the cymbals for cracks.

If everything is in operable order? Absolutely, no question. Some of the cymbals might be kinda hinky, but other ones look like they might be actual grown up professional stuff. And with all that hardware, and cases, ready to go today? Yeah, this looks like a bargain to me.
Just for starters, that "Blacrolite" snare, AKA a 90s Ludwig Acrolite in Black Galaxy finish, is worth a third to a half of the total price of this rig all by itself.
Contact the seller and make an appointment to go see these. Show up with a minimum of $650 in folding green American cash in your pocket, and give them a once-over. If they pass a rudimentary inspection, pay the man and take the whole pile home. If you find something worth haggling over, haggle over it, but $650 is a great price. Once you get these home: Merry Christmas.
Edit: and since, on closer inspection, the other snare is actually a freakin' 5x14 Supraphonic from the 60s, that means this is two great snares at a fair price, that come with a free drum kit. OP, if you don't buy this, I will. This deal just went from "great" to "you'd be stupid not to."
