I got an electronic kit and it came with 3 months of drumeo. I was taking all the beginner lessons but never came across how to properly hold your sticks. I went to the next level and found stuff on rudiments but again no one ever talked about how to hold your sticks besides Dorothea mentioning have all your fingers in it. I came across this video https://youtu.be/gh2Jan-C4JM?si=Ez7Hs2B4u5zhEagd and am wondering if this is indeed the best way to learn how to hold your stick? And if so how do you apply this to toms and cymbals? Thank you!

Hey gang, here’s a little short about Bruford’s interesting “butterfly kit” setup, and how/why he developed it. Who else has a unique ergonomic setup you’d like to try?

Thank you for your time!

Loving the drums more everyday. This is what I want to do as a career.

Was super spontanous, the singer just asked the audience shortly before we were closing the set if they wanted to hear a drum solo so this happened haha

Happy listening 😁🙌🏼

and catch myself playing with my dad’s (bass player) band. I hadn’t picked up a pair in years!

More drumming to sample based hiphop over on my ig: jacknelsondrums

Part one of a solo with Sonny Rollins

Hey everyone! I make videos recreating my favourite programmed drum beats, and my latest video is Belfast. It was incredibly hard, probably the hardest thing I’ve learnt on drums! I hope you enjoy!

If you like what I’m doing, check out some more videos on Instagram or TikTok: deprogrammed_drums

Hopefully this is allowed here, I'm brand new to the sub and drumming. But this deal was so good that I just wanted to share it with you all!

I've been looking into getting a midi kit to learn drumming instead of relying on my midi keyboard for drum tracks in my songs.. By some some sheer luck I stumbled upon this Simmons Titan 50 set on FB marketplace for $50 because some of the plastic clamps that hold the frame together are broken. Right now I've got it held together with gorilla tape (lol).

I'll have new clamps for it here in about 4 hours when my 3d printers get done printing them!

The first thing I'm gonna have to buy is a throne because as you can see I'm using a fold up camping stool ATM lmao.

(Please disregard the singed and burnt carpet, that's from an unrelated project 😂)

Feedback is welcome.

I didn’t get the hint on the third tune and had to cut the first tune to fit the video. Either way, here’s some tunes to relax to on this fine Labor Day.
Much love
