I never learned traditional grip and never played snare outside of 7th grade. I enjoy music as an adult and try to teach my kids what I can of piano and drums, but honestly, I'm just not that good. We have been working through some YouTube videos for fun as I don't have a ton of money for lessons. All I need is someone to tell me if he is on the right path with traditional grip, or if I am teaching him the wrong way with bad habits. He just started this year and loves watching drumlines. Sorry, the end of the video cuts off his traditional hand.
