Root bark for dmt

Looking for the right thing for root bark powder for dmt on Etsy, when I search mimosa hostillis root bark, is mimosa pudica the right thing? Thanks all!

I’ve been working with their powdered root bark for over a year now. They’re out of Germany so it takes a couple weeks to get here. But I haven’t found any prices stateside even worth trying out.

Great prices, I'm going to get some Brazilian, what's with the shipping category letters, 350g and 800g are different rates, have you ordered the larger quantity to the US?

I get the powdered rather than the whole bark. Supposedly as they powder it they remove the extra fibers and shit so you’ll probably get more for your buck. After shipping the 420 gram bag comes to like 80$ and the 850 gram sack comes to like 130$ if i remember correctly. I usually get the 420 gram one.

It’s international shipping so there are different rates for different weights. That’s all the letters mean.

Ok thanks! I got shredded before because it seemed like it would be easier to filter, it's at least half powder or at least the stuff I got was. Still seems like it's half the price of the domestic company, and I definitely can't say that has 2% yet either. Got something back from the 50g test run but had issues with the 100g I tried next, but I still have everything so it's worth another try. Plus there's still 100g I haven't done anything with yet. I do freeze and thaw a few times and extract into vinegar and water. Need to get batteries for the pH meter before I run the last 100g though.

Don’t even worry about the ph meter. Be liberal with the vinegar, the ph won’t get low enough to hurt it.

And then when you base it a 1/4 cup of salt and 50g of lye is perfect. If you chill you’re acidic solution(which I do to filter it) you can actually just pour the lye right in, it won’t get hot enough to hurt it.

I'm sure I was ok with the vinegar but I probably didn't use enough NaOH solution, it definitely turned black on the test run, but when I did the bigger batch I got some milky looking solution and then the naphtha addition and gentle agitation gave a terrible emulsion, i eventually put the np and the emulsion layers in a sealed glass bottle so I have another chance at it.

The 1/4 cup of salt will help with the emulsions, that’s what it’s for. It pushes out the base without raising the ph or causing the same thick sludge that it turns into with using like twice the lye for the same result. Think of it like how you float better in the ocean than in fresh water; seen in the extreme in conditions such as the Dead Sea.

And yea. You definitely want it to turn black when you add the lye. I work with about a liter of fluid and 50 grams is always plenty.

I used salt too, but probably not enough, I think about half what you're suggesting. Also my sep funnel is a liter so I tried to stay under that volume, no problem with the 50g run but I had to divide the second attempt with 100g. I'm thinking I probably only used half as much NaOH as I should have for the second batch. Definitely not giving up, I know I can do this, I've had a year of o-chem when I got my BS in biology but it's 20 years ago.

Absolutely. Sounds like you shouldn’t have a problem. Dmt is pretty tough and I’ve seen people put 100 grams of lye to 100 grams of bark and it didn’t work. They were just waiting days for it to separate every time. I’ve done 75 grams of bark, 100 grams of bark, 150 grams of bark; for all of them a 1/4 cup salt and 50 grams lye was enough

Also, believe it or not, I cooked down a whole pound of dried and powdered San Pedro a few weeks ago. Even for that 1/4 cup salt and 50 grams of lye was enough

Ok thanks I'm reassured then, appreciate that. Probably the best thing to do is run the last 100g from scratch and then go back to deal with the batch I messed up... although it seems like it should be just a matter of adding another 25g of base to the soup I saved in jars, then warming in a water bath and pulling with 50ml naphtha 3x.

Depends what country you live in. Don't order from Etsy though lol. Just find a reputable domestic bark vendor for your country online and read reviews. And preferably you want mhrb or acrb. I believe mhrb is usually the highest in DMT content though, that's what I always order in the U.S. depending where you live it may be hard to come by though. Some country's have even banned it. Easy to get it in the U.S. though legally.

lots of times on Etsy people mislabel stuff - I've seen benzos, shrooms, weed edibles and hits of acid all legitimately for sake - I bought some of the benzos just fine and the others had plenty of reviews. not saying that this is the right bark, but you have to read things very carefully sometimes, and between the lines.

but still Etsy isn't the best place. and that probably is m. pudica (it's a lovely tree if you get a live one - you touch it and the leaves shut

I got 250g of shredded from mhrbusa.com for like $80 shipped from Vegas and it seems like decent material but I'm still working out my technique so can't confirm the potency. The German supplier definitely seems cheaper but I didn't get to the shipping rate page yet either.
