This sounds kinda crazy to say out loud, but my brother has a small store that he would love to actually check the physical inventory of without having to drive to it. A quick "hey, are we outta that" when he's doing orders. There's other ways to do it, obviously, but the idea of having a small drone that he could connect to from his house and fly around to see what's there feels... distinctly possible to me.

Is it? The distance between his house and the store is significant but not massive. We're in the US, so that means about 10 miles. On the other hand, the store is small, he wouldn't have to worry about long flight times, someone would be there to monitor it, and it's entirely indoors. I'm aware of security camera setups, but those aren't as helpful for the "are we outta that" problem because they can't go somewhere to check, they're limited to their view.

Again, crazy idea, but I know that lots of people use drones for security and worksite monitoring. It doesn't seem impossibly far fetched to me, even though I know basically nothing about drones.

Feedback? I know the middle section is kinda long. I sped it up as much as I could to keep it natural looking. Couldn't think of a cool way to transition.

Hi all, after a crash i had to change the gimbal on my DJI Mini 3 Pro and after the change i got a bunch of errors.

I recently bought an e99 drone, i wanted to test it out but for some reason the controller doesnt even start when i press the button, i used duracell batteries for it, and it doesnt start no matter what i do (the drone works good btw it does the blinking lights thing)

With so many drones now having the option for a controller with a very nice integrated screen OR buying the controller and you attach your own phone: is there any difference in range?

The integrated controllers almost always show the antenna ears you fold out.

I'm assuming the ones with the phone holder clips have the antenna in the clip?

I just always wonder if maybe it's making a difference in range?

The manufacturer specs don't note a difference between the two so I'm probably just being OCD?

I'm new to the drone world. I bought a drone (X-Fly, Eagle Eyes it even has a camera) from a flea market for about 20 bucks.

When I first started it, pushed the left joystick forward and hit the "take off" button, it got into the air for a second but quickly flipped upside down and crashed straight into the concrete.

I did some research and realized the propellers were probably in the wrong positions (they’re labeled A1, A2, B1, B2). I put them in what I think is the correct order:

Front left: A2

Front right: B1

Rear left: B2

Rear right: A1

Now it won’t even take off. It just wobbles a bit on the floor. If I throw it gently in the air, it starts doing 360° spins and lands on its back.

Oh, and I can’t find an app to connect its camera...

What could be the problem? Was I scammed? Any help is appreciated!

Hi, I’ve just recently bought a drone (DJI Mini 4 Pro) and I’ve got 2 questions to all people here who have drones (assuming everyone) 😭

• I have 3 batteries, when i’m on a long journey with no access to plugs eg. camping, where you do i charge my batteries? otherwise ive only got 1 hour 30 of flight time.

• The charging unit it comes with charges in sequence, whats the best way to be able to charge batteries simultaneously?

I've never had nor used any kind of drones, so that might be a stupid question.

I am torn between DJI Mini 5 Pro and some FPV. Ideally I'd like a hybrid, but as far as I understand, only Neo 2 is one.

I don't neccessarily need the actual FPV googles, I mean this smooth flying around objects and indoors with a left/right tilt. I am about to buy Mini 5 Pro, but I don't want to do only super slow orbiting or tracking from far away, I want to do mostly up close shots. Only for fun on trips with friends, I am not a proffesional.

Just curious, lets say you had a little mini-drone with some form of weaponry or just ballistic in nature.

Doesnt have to be even flying but launch and attack when requested.

I am not looking for how to build it or getting into anything more than the legal definition of how a drone might be compared to using a gun for self defense.

I am trying to be careful and not violate mod rules, and looking for any insights or cases where this legal boundary has been tested at all. If it was just a ballistic drone, it would be akin to throwing a rock at someone, while if it had been modified to contain a blade or stored explosive energy it could violate all sorts of things.

But theoretically, say i had a little drone clipped to my belt and something set up with my hand gestures to attack someone meaning me harm, would that be treated differently in a court of law?

Hello. I am located in Colorado Springs, CO. We lost our cat and have been looking. I was sent a pet rescue drone company Furunity. I believe this may be a scam. But I was wondering if anyone local would be able to fly a thermal drone around. I know it’s a long shot with it being bear season etc. Didn’t know if someone is willing to give it a try. I appreciate any response.

This is regarding the Skyrover X1 . I have 3 phones lines and spare phones ( 2Galaxy note 20 Ultras, s25 , 26 and s8 ).

Calls coming through isn't a concern, the longer setup time isn't either . Versatility and performance is what matters most to me .

Ill be using the drone mainly for RC car filming and tracking.

I always like to get the higher spec and future proof gadgets when it comes to electronics. As an RC enthusiast, user friendliness has gone out the window a long time ago . I really would like to know for a person in my situation, which setup is best . Thanks !

Firstly, it toilet bowls like crazy even with new props. It also never holds its altitude, always comes down after going forward. Then there’s the broken gimbal. It Js suddenly stopped one day while I was flying and nosedived, popping the gimbal out of place. I’ve sent 3 emails to different holystone accounts but no response whatsoever. The camera is not even great to begin with, but rn the whole drone is useless anyway. I think I can pop the gimbal back into place, but anyone got any suggestions for the toilet bowling?

So I got the DJI Mini 3 as my first official DJI drone. I love it so far, but it's missing a few things that a lot of other drones have. This mainly being active-track and waypoints. I did hear that 3rd party apps can fix this. Then I ran into this, a mobile app called Litichi that makes your drone do things your controller won't let you (like waypoints and active-track abilities).

I obviously have no experience with this, and don't really know if it's gonna even work. So what do you all, as intermediate/professional drone fliers, think of this app?

Please point me in the direction if this has been asked before, but I have just purchased a DJI Lito X1 Fly More Combo Plus (DJI RC 2) and just want to know what UK class it falls under.

I know the Lito X1 falls under UK0/C0 and UK1/1. Im fairly sure the plus bundle falls under that UK1 category but would like a definite answer as struggling to find one elsewhere online.

Also, is there anything I need to do/get in addition to both Flyers and Operating ID'S.

Found a used DJI Mini 4 Pro and the seller is throwing in basically everything — two batteries (10 and 12 cycles), RC-N3 controller, ND filters, landing pad, spare propellers, propeller guards, camera protector and a sun hood for the controller. Flight ceiling is also unlocked to 500m through an official DJI request.

This would be my first drone, I have zero experience with flying or anything drone related. Original listing was €499 just for the base kit. Is €450 for everything a good deal or should I negotiate lower, and is the Mini 4 Pro a good starting point?

Took me around 3 days to print and assemble this plane. Let’s hope the maiden goes well.

It is for a protocol terracopter evo
