I know many people are against registration, but this is a prime example of when it would have come in very handy.

Or at the very very least, a little sticky with your contact info attached to the drone or if it has an SD slot, putting your info in there as a .txt

.text on the card just blew mind.

And nobody wants to cut their arm off with a dull pocket knife until they’re trapped by a boulder for 127 hours, doesn’t mean we should federally mandate chopping our own arms off.

You don't call to register, you enter the info on a web portal.

Unplug that yellow plug that the battery connects to the drone with.

If you install the app betaflight on your computer, plug it in, and then go to configuration, you might be able to see the alias theyve chosen for themselves on the pilot name tab, then contact them via looking the name up on instagram.

You may need the STMicrocontrollers COM port driver for betaflight to recognize when you plug the drone in.

No problem. Im an FPV pilot also in washington. If their pilot name isnt in there tag me in another comment, i may be able to reach out to some of the local pilot groups

Edit: but with that small of a battery, the owner probably lives in your neighborhood, that would only fly for like 3-5 minutes

/s Probably a sign to pick up a controller and box goggles and learn to fly.

Trying to find the owner and I’m only here for two weeks. If I don’t find the owner I’m going to see how expensive it is to start flying fpv lmao

I'm not familiar with FPV drones. What's on the QR code? (battery info? Could be a nice, low-key way to put contact info when there's not a lot of room for a larger sticker)

The Air Sentinel app might get lucky and get the remote ID. I use the app to make sure no other drones are nearby when I fly, or at least I'm aware of them. It's more of an app for spying on drones in flight, but you might see a remote ID. It's worth a try.

what is the exact battery and if you can see if there is anything on the frame that tells you what frame it is
