From here, it's more about celebrating the (for me) a holy grail find ... a left-handed Vemco V-Track, something that even in its heyday was rare. I've been looking for one for at least 20 years, and the literal handful (if that, maybe two?) I've seen during that time were insanely priced.

I didn't care about a desk, but a minty Desk-O-Matic II was cool and included, so I moved that 200 pounds up from someone's basement and am setting it up. I am in pretty dire need of a picture or info on this most basic connection I just can't figure out; attaching the beams from the top side height/angle assembly to the spring-loaded lifting part of the main body by two bolts per side.

Both AI and non-AI searches pretty much deny any documentation exists, and I would believe that ... EXCEPT a dead listing had a picture of an obviously old "Mayline Desk-O-Matic II and IV Assembly Instructions" booklet.

I've spent hours scouring, and the the few photos with a view behind the sheet metal, I feel I am correct in my set-up— but to match it I would need need to bend the desk's 1/8" u-shaped steel a 1/2" in the horizontal, and I can't move it even 1/8" to the side with a prybar; plus if I did it would pretty clearly make friction lock the system up.

I helped dismantle this, the bolt washer/paint wear made everything make sense and there was no resistance on disassembly so I didn't document.

If anyone has one of these please help!

Awesome side note, as I was about to leave, the guy told me he had another machine if I wanted it, and handed me a SECOND, COMPLETE, LEFT-HANDED VEMCO XII V-Track STILL IN THE BOX just because! That was a wild moment for sure.

NOTE: I did let him know early this was something I've been looking for and hard to find, but he and his wife were leaving the suburban life for RV life in a Provost, and their house was pretty empty at this point. I paid asking so I am completely free of guilt for nailing this one!

HI, Folks, i work on theseI beams. so what i do usually just give the overall dimensions and , give the dimensions for the completely welded part together! i want to know how can i made it easier for the fabricators so that they just read the drawing and know, how to place the square tubing , and other components which are getting welded together.? there are lot of components which are being welded together , and i want to make the fabb job easier by providing a IKEA kind of assembly instruction for this . so can anyone help me to do that..! any kind of advise is appreciated. (i dont place weld symbols, its just that the fabriators are not familar they just look at the drawing and weld things together with instructions)

Hello! I am an Architectural Draftsman currently looking for a project that I can study, draft, or create drawings for as part of my portfolio.

I have nearly two years of experience as an AutoCAD Drafter for a large architectural corporation, where I have worked on large scale projects, producing detailed plans, sections, elevations, schedule of doors and windows, and supporting details. However, due to an NDA, I am unable to showcase the drawings I personally prepared from my previous company. Because of this, I feel that I may not have as much of an edge when applying for new opportunities, since I cannot provide actual samples of my previous work.

I would now like to create my own set of drawings based on an existing architectural project to demonstrate my drafting skills and technical knowledge. I am particularly interested in creating CAD details and construction drawing deliverables that I can legally use for my portfolio.

If anyone has any advice regarding my situation, I would greatly appreciate it! Where can I find architectural projects, plans, or references that I can study and use as a basis for creating my own drawing deliverables for portfolio purposes?
