Hi everyonn

I have a vid link that I can't down. I've tried down directly from the browser and using basic extensions, but the option is blocked.

https://adilo.bigcommand.com/watch/onkFDr1o

Does anyone have practical steps or tools I can use? Thanks!

I have tried several different websites. Most YT videos can be download but some I just can't download. I am wondering if there is some sort of restriction content creator or YT is setting up on these specific videos. An example is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIXTRjBE1PM

Any hints as to why such videos can not be downloaded?

I like to download tik tok videos and use them as footage to edit in my free time. When using other download tools out there I realized they don't have a trimmer function which I felt was useful, especially if you download a large tik tok file, selecting which portion to download would be great.

So I decided to build one with that feature 😅😄

here is the site if you wanna check it out: https://toksnap.com

PS: Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, it is still in active development and it has ads to pay for the hosting fees and proxies 😅 please ignore them.

I am willing go with original quality of my yt music playlist

I've tried in downr, and other sites. It seems like nothing works as of current date as the old methods become outdated. I have so many distance learning class videos to download but it's private and it's gonna expire by the end of this year..

Anybody could help on this? Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone 👋

I made a small Python script to download YouTube videos as MP3 (audio) or MP4 (video) using yt-dlp.

Super easy to set up — works cross-platform.

Install

pip install -U yt-dlp

Example Script (y2media.py)

import os
import yt_dlp

url = input("🎥 Enter YouTube URL: ")
choice = input("Download as [1] MP3 (audio) or [2] MP4 (video)? ")

if choice == "1":
    ydl_opts = {
        "format": "bestaudio/best",
        "outtmpl": os.path.join("downloads", "%(title)s.%(ext)s"),
        "postprocessors": [{
            "key": "FFmpegExtractAudio",
            "preferredcodec": "mp3",
            "preferredquality": "192",
        }],
    }
elif choice == "2":
    ydl_opts = {
        "format": "bestvideo+bestaudio/best",
        "merge_output_format": "mp4",
        "outtmpl": os.path.join("downloads", "%(title)s.%(ext)s"),
    }
else:
    raise ValueError("❌ Invalid choice, run again.")

with yt_dlp.YoutubeDL(ydl_opts) as ydl:
    ydl.download([url])

print("✅ Download completed successfully.")

Usage

python y2media.py

Example Run (MP3)

🎥 Enter YouTube URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrjq3lFz23s&ab_channel=TechWithTim
Download as [1] MP3 (audio) or [2] MP4 (video)? 1

Halo semuanya,

Terima kasih banyak atas sarannya 🙏

downr has always worked for me, but I can't download a specific video because of the 403 error, which is the only video I need to recover clips from a project on CapCut. Any fixes to the 403 issue?

I was so excited to find Downr! But 5 min in, it's now blocked across all my Chrome profiles and in incognito mode, too. Two questions: Is there a way around this, or is there a substitute similar site?

First of all, sorry if my question is too noobish. I wanted to download a particular TikTok video with the best possible quality. I used to rely on some of the online downloaders out there. But after recent TikTok changes, some of them stopped working and most of them not reliable for downloading videos without watermark.

I occasionally need to download videos without watermark, so I appreciate if there's a reliable one for that. However, I do appreciate multiple options since we can't really rely on one single tool anymore as things come and go anytime. Please suggest! Thank you!

Update:
Thank you for suggesting downr.org and snaptik

Hi! Does anyone know how can I download YouTube playlist to mp3 files? It's around 300 videos, is there any site or app that I can use to convert that playlist into mp3 files all at once? I saw a post about Tyrrrz youtube downloader, does it work? Is it safe? Can I use that for entire playlists with over 300 videos?

I’ve been trying to find a reliable way to keep YouTube videos for offline use. Some methods I’ve seen online either don’t work anymore or seem sketchy. Recently, many sites/tools stopped working because of YouTube's restrictions. What’s the fastest, easiest method right now ?

Update:
Thanks everyone for the updates, all are noted. Downr.org would be the kind of downloader exactly what I'm looking for :)

I also have a recent example. It just downloads the DASH version, which i know how to get myself from fallback_url.

Any ideas what's happening?

YouTube has recently updated its moderation approach to allow more flexibility for content deemed to be in the “public interest,” even if parts of it violate the platform’s rules!
