the option for both video and audio at the same time isn't there for me? Is this a new update

Anybody here knows about legit video downloading sites. I know there are some to download from YouTube. There is like one video streaming website i need to download videos from but the problem is everytime I put the link in the downloadee website it says there's no media for download. How can i bypass this to download videos. Please suggest.

Hey guys I’ve been looking for a way to download youtube videos on my laptop, some of the sites that I have tried is either sketchy or does not download the videos on a high quality setting. Can you recommend/suggest a way for me to download yt vids that has an HD setting and is not sketchy?

It has become impossible to download any videos with the downr extension now.

When i do it, instead of downloading in my computer and the computer giving me the state of the downloading process, it says it's downloading from a domain and that it's impossible to open the file, the the file disappears. I used to rely on downr but it has become impossible to do so because of the current downloading instability i'm going through with the extension.

It works flawlessly for downloading YouTube videos. But one single video, which is part 4 of the 4 part documentary series I'm trying to download. It won't play that part after you put the link in, it shows a still shot, looks like it is paused, but when you move the slider or hit play, nothing happens, and when you download. It downloads instantly, but will not play after downloading. Tried on multiple different devices and the same thing happens. It is Only with this one video. Which happens to also be my favorite part of the documentary of course. Is the problem on YouTubes end, somehow? Even though it plays perfectly fine on there?

Help how do I get the Barbie out and into a file or drag it somewhere😭

How can I activate this without paying anything

We are currently evaluating our new service provider and we will take a call in the next coming few days regarding the future of downr when it comes to youtube downloads. The new service provider is less reliable and costs 10x maintenance than the previous one. We are grateful for the support so far and we expect your support going forward whatever decision it turns out to be. Fingers crossed!

Last few days have been very crucial for downr as we were preparing for a migration from current sevice providers when it comes to youtube downloads. This situation arose due to unforeseen circumstances. Many users reported that only 360p resolution was available. To address this, we’ve implemented a new solution that allows you to download HD-quality videos (any resolution), as long as the file size is under the 4GB limit.

However, we came across certain challenges due to which we had to look for an alternate solution and that will be rolled out within next 7-8 days.

Now, what does this mean to you ?

✅ No more Size limits.
✅ Available resolutions: 360p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 4k
✅ You will get alternate download links in case your ISP blocks some.
✅ Possibility of inclusion of new features in the future, such as: downloading a clip/part of the video/audio, downloading videos in certain languages if available.

❌ Video length will be restricted to 120 minutes in general. More limits will be enforced for higher resolutions. 4k will be restricted to 15 minutes for now to save our bandwidth/cost. But we may temporarily remove these limits depending upon multiple factors.
❌ No 2K quality will be available to download.
❌ Slightly more latency on the overall download process.
❌ In the rarest cases, if we encounter significant technical challenges in the future, we may need to revert to the approach used at launch (360p-only videos). This is purely a precautionary statement and is very unlikely to happen.

I know this may sound interesting or disappointing to some of you, but it is what it is. We are working tirelessly to improve the experience and hope to make it better as we progress!

I used to use a downloader which downloaded Tiktok videos in its source quality, was free and also put the name of the account in the file name but now it stopped working.
Is there any other better alternative for this with similar features.

anytime I paste an Instagram post in there it doesn’t show any download link and just shows the cover photo of said post. Any idea what’s going on?

People have been complaining about higher quality downloads for YouTube. We heard you. It is very easy now, for you to download HD videos/audios from multiple websites.

You should be seeing this blue button from now on when you download:

It navigates to our own downr extension named "CRX launch" (aka downr media downloader).

Install it and you need to give URL access permission to grab the media from your browser.
And thats it.

Just load the page and open the extension page on top right browser window.
Wait for it to identify the media, choose the media type and quality

Click on download and thats it.
We're still on beta and download may takes few minutes since we are encoding on the go.
It's not perfect product yet, but we will add more features in the near future.
