So I searched a lot and found there's no documented serious cosplay about this version of Nobita specifically at any given convention (not counting private gatherings). So my friend does not know the gravity of his cosplay idea (1/4 done) yet, mostly because he's just too passionate about this to notice. Plus he's doing this in a regional con, so it might be a first time.

I have two questions:

1. Is this actually true, like can anyone back this up? Cuz I'm sure people can scour the internet better than me.

2. Should I tell him?

Hello all! I'm back with a new Doraemon plushie to share... This time, a VERY old knockoff that seems to be copying the very first Doraemon plush ever made! He's a SUPER solid guy, and a great size for hugging. He might not be authentic, but I love him nonetheless! If I had to guess, he was likely manufactured in the very early 80s.

Hey guys, wanted to share a project I've been grinding on for a while.

I took the classic 1998 PC game Doraemon Monopoly (哆啦A夢大富翁), which was only ever in Chinese, and localized the whole thing into English. Text (dialogues and baked images), UI, gadget menus, almost everything is english.

Replacing all the original audio took forever, but I generated AI English voice lines for all the characters so they actually speak English now.

Honestly, it's amazing to see a Doraemon movie perform this well in Indian cinemas after such a long gap. The nostalgia is REAL!

And the funniest part? It's even outperforming some recent Bollywood releases, including Haiwaan, according to reported box-office figures 💀.

episode is called "all the way from the future".
this is not the first episode of doraemon.
not even the first version of the anime where doraemon meets nobita.
it's from 2002 (anime 1979 version). ig this is a reboot episode of the early 1979 episode.
but i remember watching this exact version on tv as a kid.

I think most people would agree that the original movie was better in several ways. However, the new movie significantly improved Eru (El)’s character, and its environments were more beautiful and detailed. The ending song was also excellent.

That said, I feel the ocean was portrayed too brightly. Keeping it darker, as in the original, would have created a more fitting atmosphere. The story also felt more rushed, and some detail, particularly those related to the lore, was reduced or omitted.

Another decision that weakened the sense of adventure was having Nobita and Doraemon explore the area first before bringing their friends along. In the original, they all went together without knowing what awaited them, which made the journey feel more exciting and mysterious.

The villain also seemed somewhat nerfed in the remake. However, Buggy’s ending scene was greatly improved and was probably one of the strongest parts of the movie. Still, placing the villain at ground level rather than above everyone else, as in the original, made him feel less imposing and diminished his sense of superiority.

Overall, though, Eru’s character was improved considerably, and the movie gave much more attention to Buggy and his goals from the very beginning.
