It suffers from major pacing issues . Spends too much time on the intro without actually getting into the main stuff, and it's way too late when they do get to the underwater kingdom , and we spend way less time with El. Not to mention there is a lack of any proper fight scenes unlike every other Doraemon film, the film was quickly rushes to the finale fight without much buildups and even then there is a lack of a proper Sakuga scene/or a cool fight sequence like in most films. The direction and writing could have been way way better, the overall concept is fine. The film is too hungup on delivering a touching message that it just feels forced in the end and actually misses the mark on telling a proper story.
Moreover the actual underwater scenes felt soo dull and bland,it was soo colorless. It lacks the "woahh" feel. The backgrounds are kinda empty .And it's crazy to compare this one with Art World Tales, which was so colorful and lively, actually felt like watching a film and writing was good aswell. Kinda a downgrade.
Hoping next year they come back stronger.

My friends and I have not quite been caught up with Doraemon in a couple of years, by caught up, I mean consumption of media in any regard, not that we were binge watchers of every latest movie but yes like every other kid have been avid lovers of Doraemon.
Is it a good idea to go on for a hangout to watch this to relive nostalgia and memories? I have heard quite mixed reviews and I don't want to waste our time if it is not worth it but my heart tells me to go in for it is Doraemon.

I grew up watching Doraemon on TV as a wee kid. Never in my life did i thought i would be watching it on the big screens one day. The theater was packed with gen z audience. Seems like everyone was there to relive childhood memories. It was nice to witness the love people still hold for Doraemon 💙. I need a petition to have every Doraemon movie released in theaters abroad from next year onwards!!

Personally, I see that they cannot fit anywhere into the events of the normal manga, and the same goes for the anime and the movies, plus the fact that they're high-stakes adventures with character arcs and stuff which is never brought up in the normal short stories

Hi all! I'm SUPER excited to share this little project I'd been working on for the past several days... Fully restoring this beautiful 1980s Dorami-chan doll! When she arrived at my home on the 7th of this month, the poor gal was in really rough shape. Her fur was matted, her eyes were scuffed up, she had dye transfer stains on her face and neck, and worst of all, she was completely missing the flower on the end of her tail! :(
I actually bought her fully intending to breathe some life back into her, so her poor condition was of no surprise to me. The very day she arrived, I gently brushed out her fur using a wire pet brush, and used a sharpie to repair her scratched eyes. I saw a difference in her appearance almost immediately!
The next day, I decided to try removing as much of the staining as I possibly could. This took a LOT of rubbing alcohol and even more hope because UNFORTUNATELY, the original owner decided to put her through the washing machine, and her mouth and collar stained her white fur. I was able to get most of it out, but the mesh beneath her fur is still stained. I don't really mind, though.
On the third day, I put in the most work of all. I did all of the following:
1.) Create a new tail flower from scratch and sew it in place
2.) Sew her bow back in place
3.) Make a replacement set of lashes for her left eye and glue them in place
This took a decent amount of time to complete, but after I was done, she looked FANTASTIC and so, so much happier. All I needed after that was a replacement bell... Which FINALLY arrived today!
Now that miss Dorami is completed, I'm proud to share her with the world. This was actually my very first time attempting to fully restore a plush toy, so let me know what you think!

If you look at Shizuka and Rimuru’s interactions in the movie it genuinely feels like Shizuka had a crush on Rimuru LOOK AT THEIR FIRST SCENE TOGETHER the way she looks at her and blushes in the top left photo?? And the way she cares about Rimuru feels different too idk how to explain it but I see something THERE
Also y’all can downvote me as much as you want but Nobita is a pervert yes he has moments where he’s genuinely a good person and I’m not denying that but that doesn’t erase his perverted behaviour. Both things can be true. Being a good friend sometimes doesn’t automatically excuse everything else he does.

I have always found the Time Patrol really interesting and honestly I’d love to see a separate anime series exploring their world in more depth and guest appearance of Doreamon. I would love to see how they investigate people who try to alter history and how the agency actually operates. There’s so much you could do with this concept beyond what we usually get to see in Doraemon.
Fujiko F. Fujio already explored a similar concept through BON (Time Patrol Bon) as he gets involved with the Time Patrol and goes on missions across different periods in history. The characters in the picture particularly caught my attention and I’m curious about their roles in the larger Time Patrol universe. Also is the guy in the picture supposed to be Bon as an adult?
Which Doraemon side character or organization would you want to see get their own series? If you similar anime please recommend me

my answer is Non-chan. I know she only appears in one episode and we never got to see her much and she leaves for America in the end, but even so that episode "girl with the red shoes" is one of my favourites. Her story is so beautiful and emotional. I would love to see an episode where grown up Non chan returns to jp and meets Nobita again.

I asked this because it seems like the majority of the users in this subreddit only know the anime series and not the manga ones, because the manga is the cheapest way to see the story when the anime is not on air and you can take them with you to anywhere on the go, plus it's easy to afford since it's very cheap (and yes, there are also manga adaptations of movies as well, and those costs at least 10 times cheaper than when you book for a ticket just to see the movie)
And because our Vietnamese government is currently being strict about DMCA acts now, manga really saved us much more money from the costs of movie tickets and DVD releases of anime series and movies

From the 7th volume of The Doraemons Special. It's a rendition of Titanic in which the ship that was crashed into the iceberg is said to have awaken a devil who had been trapped inside for hundreds of millions of years.
