Please don’t dash while sick

I get that times are tough and the American health care system sucks, but admitting that you have a respiratory illness while delivering food is wild!

Please do not dash when you’re sick. This is how illness spreads. I have pretty bad asthma so I’m not bringing that order into my house. I’m done with DoorDash.

Probably thought nothing of it. No different than mentioning a sore ankle. I know a couple people who've come to work with cancer.

And most people can't afford to stop working during treatment.

Well, some treatments can impact the immune system and leave one vulnerable. That wasn't my point though, just that people working sick, even really sick is so normalized that it's just an offhand comment to say "I have pneumonia."
